Been there several times with good results. Latest was a Volvo with what I suspected was a pretty bad oil leak. Took it in without an appointment and the kind lady who runs it let me explain my issues and if they could look over the car and see if was as severe as I though. Tech didnt just drain and replace oil but measured how much was in the case and showed me a rather nasty leak on the oil heat exchanger. We determined that if the oil was filled it would be safe to go down the hill to get it repaired as it was beyond the scope of what they do. Another tech came out and gave me the name of a Volvo specialist in Denver that he assured me would provide excellent services. My call about a dash message after a recent service was answered with courtesy and appreciation for the opportunity to address a fix, if needed. My vehicle was given an initial ck by a service person, then right away by the owner to investigate further to help me, if possible, avoid a trip to the dealership. This involved more than an hour of their time with other cars in their bays, but even when offered, they did not charge me. While one unrelated issue with my 4WD could not unfortunately be determined without more diagnostic tools, I left with the sense that THIS is what customer service means, and I will always first support local businesses with that as a priority. read more

I only had an Oil and Filter change. Courteous service. They got me out in 15 minutes (a service bay was open when I arrived). Beware that they charge extra to even CHECK other fluids. Strange. I can see them charging if they have to add fluids, but just checking would be a source of additional revenue. But I will use them again for just an Oil change. read more

Change in management and/or ownership. I went to get an oil change and specifically asked them to check brake fluid. They said, "sure, no problem", but they didn't check it. I had to add the fluid myself after getting a warning light the day after my oil change. They also had no idea how to reset the service lights on my Volvo. They are about 5 min from my house, but I will gladly travel much farther for competent, honest service. read more

Love this place. I've been taking my car and my families cars here now going on 5 years. I went last Friday and was in and out just as fast as usual. Shawn went above and way beyond to help out and I think people willing to take the extra step are part of what makes mountain communities that much more awesome. They never seem to "push" things you don't necessarily yet need on you, you can walk in, pay, and leave. Won't ever go elsewhere. Only go there for quick oil changes, for over a year I was very satisfied that I could drop in and get my oil changed quickly. The time and money that I saved going there was quickly wasted. I asked the guys every oil change how the brakes look, they always said they have 20% + left on them. I am now doing rotors, pads and calipers. My suggestion to them is if you don't know how to check tell the customer it's not in your wheelhouse and have someone else look at it. read more

I stopped at Mobile 1 today to have my oil and tire pressure checked. The crew immediately found a gash in one of my tires that was likely to have resulted in a blown tire had I continued my trip. I have significant medical issues. The crew could see that I was struggling and they made accommodations to put my spare tire on right away despite the fact that there was a wait. A team of three employees worked on my truck so that the job could be completed as efficiently as possible. They were all empathetic, respectful and professional in their interactions. The owner refused to allow me to pay for services despite my intention to pay them more than what I would have been charged. I was so very impressed by the excellent level of customer care and by the compassion that the owner and his team exhibited. They saved me from safety issues both in terms of my tire condition and with regard to my medical challenges. Well done! read more

Eddie and his crew took very good care of us! We blew our radiator on our Subaru halfway up 285 and limped it into Eddie's shop after being recommended to us by a very kind woman we met at the aspen park loaf'n jug. We were far from home with our only car, a situation that dishonest mechanics could have easily taken advantage of. Eddie got us a new radiator and installed it in an hours less time than originally quoted. He was thorough in his diagnosis, explanations and also made it clear that proceeding with the repair was "our call". We made it back home with no problems. Eddie and his folks clearly have a high level of situational awareness and respect for their customers. They obviously care and understand that taking advantage of people for personal gain is not an option. Good work men! I went for an oil change, they overfilled the oil. They said it was an extra good job to overfill it by 3/4" over the full line. Won't correct the problem for me so I have to take it to another mechanic. So much for a coupon oil change. If I would have checked the oil levels myself before leaving the place it would have been an easy fix. Or maybe 285 Lube & Oil should have checked the oil level before releasing my car. read more
