I love this place, reasonably priced oil change, free tire rotation, & free flat repair. The nicest staff.

I recently had some work done at Big O tires on ElPaseo. My final bill was about $ 2500. I was shocked when I got home, and seen how bad they had overcharged me on parts used to make my repairs. They had charged me $ 429.00 for a radiator that retails at most places like Trak auto for $150 , they also charged me $ 45.00 each for 6 spark plugs that usually cost $ 13.99 each, and a set of ignition coils usually around $ 125.oo for full set they charged me $ 399.99.. They have said twice now that they rotated my tires which comes free with an oil change, when they did'nt. And today after this large bill they had not re-installed my front bumper properly after installing the radiator. When I came back and showed them their mistake, she wanted me to come back tommorrow, I said absolutely not. Fix it now....!!!! They never update my oil change windshield mileage sticker also, until I tell them. I don't really know whats going on over there, but today i felt so cheated and hurt, and can never go back to them for any service again. I am reporting all this so you will consider this when you are looking for a good , reliable garage to work on your vehicle......beware.....:-( read more

The staff is friendly and they even have a complimentary shuttle sometimes! I made an appointment a couple weeks in advance by phone to get brakes replaced and my service was completed same day--dropped off my car before 8 and it was ready before noon! read more

I just had my mechanic do an inspection on my car since I will be taking a road trip,. a few months ago I replaced 3 tires since one was practically new. when my mechanic was reading me my report he stated that the tires I had just replaced were a complete different size then the remaining tire causing uneven wear . The service is good and it's great when the tire light goes on you can drive around to the open shop and they will,check your tires and put air. Vehicle alignment. I waited about an hour at location for them to call me and tell me they were not able to adjust my upper ball joints that have camber without additional charge but everything else turned out good. I arrived to learn that they did no work and recommended I adjust my own upper camber by eye and come back. I asked how the toe adjustment turned out and they said they didn't adjust anything. I asked can I only get the toe adjusted then. They said yes but I can't put under warranty....OK no problem, just adjust my vehicles toe. They agree and state they will put the car back up on the lift.....WTF IM HERE WAITING MORE TIME FOR WHO KNOWS HOW MUCH LONGER??? WHY NOT HANDLE ALL THIS OVER THE CALL WE HAD EARLIER. Everyone was really helpful right from my first phone call to order tires. I had to order one after a blowout and it arrived the next day. I then ordered two more for the remaining old tires a week or so later. When I went in to have the tires put on, I was treated really well and felt comfortable in the waiting area. It didn't really take all that long and the coffee was good. Yay! I asked if I could get the oil changed almost as an afterthought and they assured me that was no problem. Stopped by Big O Tire to have them check one of my tires that kept leaking air. Alex checked me in there was a short wait Sam removed the wheel found out it was a valve stem leaking replaced it checked the air on all my tires I was on my way. I'll rather walk rather than buy tires from these hucksters. April, 2013; Found myself with a flat tire on my trip from California to El Paso, limped in to Big O (there didn't seem to be any other larger national tire companies in LC,) and they saw me coming. I have a 4-wheel drive SUV and needed an aggressive off-road tire. The sales guy was very nice, got on my situation quickly, then the conversation about which tire I was going to get ensued. I knew I wanted to get two tires so the back end would match, and he pointed me to the Big-O brand "Big Foot A/T". 6-ply tire, much better than what I had on now. $203.00 BUT for you, theese day (read middle-eastern bazaar) on sale for $175. Done. I was in no mood to agonize over it. Mounted, paid and out the door in 30 minutes. So far so good, that part went well. Then the trouble started. Got home, looked at the Big-O web site and not only were the tires not on sale, they were REGULARLY priced at $143.99. And this price was the indicated price for the LC store specifically! I called and pointed out the price difference and their basic attitude was "Go pound sand". I called again to speak to the manager and got the same attitude. It wasn't until I called Big-O corporate and lodged a complaint that the mgr. finally called me back and said I could get a refund of $16 per tire. Say what? "Yep, at $143 we charge extra for mounting and balancing. That comes to a refund of $16 dollars a tire." They charge $15 PER TIRE to mount and balance my tires? Something they did not do at the price of $175. Then the conversation of how I was going to receive the refund started. I asked him to just credit my credit card. Said "We don't have the CC number". puh-leeze. Any merchant who accepts CCs knows all you have to do is go on line, log in to your processor's web site, find the transaction and issue a refund. It's also done on the Zon (credit card machine). It's Credit Cards 101 for merchant accounts! This cretin did not even know how to run a credit card refund. He kept saying "We don;t have your credit card number sir, they don't keep those." Bull$%#@!! Are you telling me this fool does not even understand the basics of managing a retail merchant account with his processor? And THIS is the "manager"? Their attitude was incredibly bad. Word of warning; Check the price of the tires on the web site before you go in. They will lie to you otherwise; and use a credit card (not a debit card), that way if they screw with you, which is entirely likely, you can run a chargeback. It's been a while since I encountered such a brazen disregard for customer relations after the sale. Their attitude was horrible! PS: This store is a franchise store, not corporate owned and operated. UPDATE: 6/2/13... Still have not received my refund. read more

This Big O Tires unapologetically took OVER TWO AND A HALF HOURS to get a simple oil change done on my car, even though I had gone out of my way to make a "work order"/appointment with them. Eventually... they finally... got around... to informing me... that I should come back the next business day... for yet *another* round of attempted hoodwinking (!!!), likely to the tune of $600-800+, to replace front end parts that are in fact not showing any symptoms of wear or failure. Avoid this "business" ("The Team You Trust"--HA!) like the plague. read more

Love these guys, great service. Sometimes they dont get stuff right, but always fix it. Been getting my tires here for years. They have also done stuff for free to be nice, and dont mind if i fix stuff at home and bring it back for an alignment. read more

We got a flat 7 hours into a 19 hour drive and luckily we found Big O, we slept a few hours in the car and the staff and owner started to open the store early and were nice enough to get us set with a new tire in 15 mins. The price was fair and the people super helpful I highly recommend read more
