Took my truck to get the tires balanced due to vibration at 50mph and 80mph. Got tires balanced, i took it for a test drive but vibration was still there. Immediately took it back and was told tgat they werent balanced correctly and someone else with more experience had re-did it. I took it for another test drive and vibration did gondown by approx 50% but was not completely gone. I immediately took it to another place (discount tire), they checked and stated that not all tires were balanced, one had no weights, one had d weights, one had weights in the wrong place and one had new weights in the right place. I took it back to big O and complained for the poor service. And for claiming to have rebalanced the tires when they didnt do a complete job. I did a test drive with the tech and he confirmed that there was still vibration amd rhat he had only balanced the driver side of my truck and not the passenger side. So he said he would rebalance the passenger side as well. When that was finally done, the vibration was greatly reduced. IT TOOK THREE BALANCING ATTEMPTS TO GET THIS DONE. AND THATS CUZ I TOLD THEM THAT ANOTHER TIRE SHOP CHECKED THEIR WORK AMD CONFIRMED TGAT THEY DID A PISS PORR JOB. The Big O location was on sage , off of hiway 70 in Las Cruces. This location wouldnt do the simple front brake pad replacement that I requested but gave me an estimate for $1450 of bogus work needed ?? This was a blatant rip off attempt. Disgusting !!!! read more

I needed a tire replaced. They didn't have the size I needed and they called around to find a place that had the right tires on a Saturday afternoon. The value was excellent as they didn't charge me for identifying the tire problem and finding a solution. Great customer service. read more

I called Big O to see if they had in stock tires I wanted to replace on the 4-Runner. The existing tires, Michelin LTX/AT2, had over 50,000 miles on them and not only was the tread getting thin, there were signs of cracking along the sides . It was time for new tires. The employee I spoke with stated they didn't have those particular tires in stock, but they could order them and have them in by Tuesday morning (this was Saturday morning). He also stated that they were having a sale on these tires and currently they were being discounted $50 off each tire. I told him to go ahead and order them. On Tuesday around noon, I received a call from Ryan who stated that my tires had arrived and I could bring my vehicle by anytime. I dropped my vehicle off around 12:45pm and Ryan stated it would take a couple of hours and that he would call me when it was finished. I received a call from Ryan around 4:30pm stating the vehicle was ready to go. Additionally he stated that they had noticed leaking CV's and bad rear shocks. He said they could provide me with an estimate to remedy these problems in the event I wished to get them done. I picked up my 4-Runner at 5pm. The new tires looked great, and I was happy with the price (new tires aren't cheap). True to his word, Ryan had a printout for the estimate of the CV's and shocks replacements. So I had new wheels/rims/tires put on my Toyota Tundra. Stock alloy wheels. I was traveling back to New Mexico and my front passenger wheel fell off on the I-25. When the Sheriff showed up, he said I was lucky to be alive. When the owner of the franchise was contacted to make it right by my lawyer, he was told to fill suit. The head mechanic at the Toyota service center told me steel lug nuts were put on all 4 wheels incorrectly on ally wheels, and I was lucky they all didn't fall off. I'm going to small claims against this jerk and will receive payment and damages. Do not go here. Incompetence and stupidity are not how business is done. read more

Over the Fourth of July weekend I went to Las Vegas, NV for an Auto Auction and returned. During the trip I had to run over a large chunk of an 18-Wheeler's recapped tire tread, which came off practically in front of me. This caused me to lose the front end spoiler on my C-7 Corvette. I completed my trip but upon arrival home was notified by my OnStar link that I had a R.R. Tire going down. To make a long story short, the folks at Big O Tires, especially Niki Gomez made sure that my car was thoroughly checked out and fortunately discovered that several tires were past their recommended service life. Niki did a great job of getting my new tires ordered, mounted, balanced, and also recommended the front end alignment since I had hit the tire remnant which its turns out had whacked my front end out a bit. This kind of excellent service just doesn't exist anymore, but thanks very much for really dedicated folks like Niki that make this place special. I've bought several sets of tires from Big O but if I need tires again I will not be shopping at this store despite the short distance from my house. Took one car in because the "low tire pressure" light came on and was told it was the SENSOR that was amiss and that they reset it, only to need two new tires shortly afterward (these were original Continental tires with less than 25K miles on). Wanted the two tires replaced, they had none in stock, had to wait until the next day when they were ordered. Made an appointment to have the tires mounted, only to be told that they were slammed and that they wouldn't be done for like 4 hours. Meanwhile, my husband had to walk several miles home to pick up another vehicle because of course they have no service van or anything. Never had these problems with the El Paseo store. read more

This place is great! Since moving here I have had to make several stops here for tire repair and replacement (Las Cruces seems to have bad drivers and lots of debris on the road). They have made the process seamless and unstressful. I recently got my oil change as well, it was quick, they completed a full inspection and provided an explanation as to what needed to be done on my vehicle, not pressuring me one bit to complete everything in one day. I have had nothing but great experiences and they really take the time to make sure you understand the work they are doing. Also, they have WiFi so I can work while I wait! The staff is friendly and helpful, great customer service! My first visit was in their original location for a flat tire, after the Toyota dealer could not find the leak and didn't have a replacement tire in stock. Big O found and fixed the tire in less than 15 minutes, told me I did not need a new tire. They didn't charge me even though I had not bought the tires from them. When The time came to buy new tires for my Highlander, they had several brands in stock and the customer service rep recommended a set which wasn't the most expensive! Being in an area with a lot of construction, I have had two more flat tires and the service is always excellent and without charge. read more

Stay away from this big O tire store on Highway 70. This store will NOT honor nationwide warranties or warranties from other stores. The service manager wanted to charge a "service fee" to do a warranty repair because his store did not sell the warranty package to me. The manager is very rude and not interested in customer service. The store on El Paseo road took care of this without a fee or any hassle. read more

The whole staff did a great job. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation and I was out in what felt like under an hour. The staff was nice, my car drove well, and it turns out I need two new tires. I went back for them after I got paid, they didn't try to pressure me into any sort of credit card or something like I've had done at other tire stores in the past. I went in for two new tires, the associate explained which tires I was getting and the protection plan as well, and the same thing as with my oil change, very quick, reliable service. The people and service at Big O Tires is excellent. We had two tires with low-pressure - one on each of our two cars - and they fixed each in one day - at no charge and double checked to make sure tire pressure monitors were working correctly and that all alerts had been reset.
