I took my car for an oil change and the service was absolutely amazing! The did a full once over on my car, oil change, checked air filter and everything! Everyone was incredibly nice and informative no complaints there. When I had left the shop my car had a problem where it wouldn't go anymore. It was fully in limp mode. It would start and run but the gas wouldn't rev the engine or anything. I only made it like 150-200ft from the shop. Two very nice construction guys helped me push it out of the way. Anyway, I walked back up to the shop and explained the issue. The staff were very responsive and kind about the situation even though I was visibly frustrated but trying to keep my composure. They immediately jumped under the hood trying to find the issue. We got my car back into the bay and they spent some more time to find out what was wrong. It's still a complete mystery I guess but they replaced my air filter and that seemed to fix the problem (my current one was still good which is why it's a mystery) My car is perfectly fine now there was nothing damaged and they did refund my service for the inconvenience which I did appreciate. The staff handled the entire situation professionally and efficiently so I really don't have anything negative to say about the experience. Things like this happen sometimes but the way it's handled is what really matters. read more

The technicians are very polite, patient (with me, because I didn't know what the difference in the oil options were haha), and efficient. I love that I didn't have to get out of my car and their location was great. If you're a healthcare worker/first responder, you get a nice discount too - which they let me know about. My husband took my car in this morning for an oil change and there was a generous amount of oil spilled on the engine, there was a bit of miscommunication surrounding the cause. I called the store and spoke with the store manager Adam! He immediately invited me back and rectified the situation completely! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO TAKE 5!!! I took my car to Take 5 for an oil change on 9/21, and by 10/1, my car started making a loud knocking noise and had no oil in the engine. When I brought it back, they confirmed there was no oil but found no major leaks. They topped off the oil and told me to return in 1,000 miles. Unfortunately, the damage was already done, and my engine was blown, costing me $3,200 for a new one. My car had been well-maintained and had no issues before this oil change. The dealership even mentioned they often have to replace engines on new cars due to Take 5's poor oil change practices. When I brought this to the shop's attention, they pulled the Carfax trying to find any reason to blame me, but this vehicle was a certified used vehicle bought in March 2024 with all the documentation and only had two owners. I requested the full video of the oil change being completed, and they stated that they were unable to send the video but decided to send still shots after I told them I was pursuing legal action. Still pictures prove nothing. Avoid Take 5 if you don't want to risk needing a new engine. read more

I went to the Take 5 location 3476 Rinconada Blvd, Las Cruces, NM 88011, and the Techs (Gabriel and Richard) were amazing. I called ahead of time because over the weekend I went Lube express. They were unable to do my oil change. Blaming it on not having the right tool for the oil drainage plug. Well Richard went under my car and check, came back and showed me the plug and it was a simple Allen wrench. Your techs are true Professionals. I guess Lube express didn't want my business. And will never have it again. I am a Take 5 customer for life because of Gabriel and Richard. True Professionals. I recommend you come here and for great work and amazing prices. I brought my new car in for an oil change at 5000 miles. The mechanic servicing me showed me my air filter and told me that it probably won't need replacing until my next oil change. He offered to clean it up a bit and put it back in. I greatly appreciate their honesty and the fact that they didn't try to up-sale me anything. The 25% military discount is also nice. This place was an excellent experience overall. First of all we have a high roof van which many mechanics can't accommodate, but they only had to move their banner out of the way for us. Also there were probably four guys working the evening we were there, and all of them were working hard joking, happy and just great people to be around. We were in very close to closing time and even ended up hitting a couple of them with my wiper blades on accident! They just laughed it off and we're so cool about it. Really appreciated the level of service and the workers in general, you can tell you've got a good team there. read more
