Gave them a call at 11am on Saturday and asked if they would be able to mount and balance my 35x12.5x22 tires onto the rim. Discount Tire wouldn't even do it unless I bought a new set of rims from them directly. Made it to the store at Noon and they were finished by 1:15pm. Every time I have gone in this store the people at the front desk have been rude. I got new tires and I specifically told them not to do an alignment because I could only pay for tires (I'm in college) . they did it anyways and charged me even tho I told them not to. On top of that i had a food wrapper on my floor passenger side. when i got my car back the wrapper was on the roof of my car in the hot sun and the food had melted on my car. what would even make them do that? don't give them business. only reason I go back is because of my warranty on the tires. read more

I went in there because my back brakes were grinding and they said I need a calipers on both sides because if you replace one you need to replace the other. I could understand that but I've been told otherwise. They wanted $800 turns out that the brake hose needed to be replaced and a few other things which I got done for $450. They had called me and left me a price but when I told him I was picking the car up there was a list of other things that car needed and no quote for my original brakes by itself, it was in with everything else. read more

Went for a simple nail removal from the tread of one tire. The employee told me they would not remove the nail because is was "close to the sidewall". Instead, they could not sell me ONE tire but my only option was to purchase a FULL SET "because it's an AWD car". Anyone with a 1st grade education about cars knows this is a scam. read more

In need of alignment check which they got my car in quickly. Printout of out of alignment was proof positive and objective that I needed alignment. They allow you to book appointments through their website, but I usually get in and out quickly without one on weekdays. The guys who work here are always friendly, quick and efficient with their service. This is my second time going to this location and both times have been extremely bad service!! I was helped by the same worker both times and his customer service skills are horrible. Couldn't even tell who he was talking to half the time because he refused to look at me. I walked out of the store after he got upset because I misunderstood him about whether I would be staying in store or dropping my car off for when it gets fixed. Let me start my review by saying that this is a business I have trusted for years. My Mother takes her car there for her annual 'checkup'. I had come to believe that they don't try and sell me anything I don't need and that it was a straight-shooting business. Until something changed. On 7/28/21 I took my wife's car there for an oil change and asked them to look at a tire that was having trouble holding air. They recommended replacing two of them, which made some sense because those two were older than the other two. Ok. go right ahead. He quoted me a price, which sounded reasonable for two tires, oil, fees for disposal, etc. About $380, all-in. Got it done, slapped down a credit card and went home. That's when I took a good look at my invoice. It had a Tire Protection Plan listed on it for $34.50. No one had asked me if I wanted this and after reading the 'fine print' on the invoice and the accompanying Road Hazard Plan details, I found that it didn't even cover the two tires they sold me because "This is not a Big O Brand Tire and is only covered by Manufactuer's warranty". It also said you have 30 days to take it back to the store and get it removed and refunded, which I did today. I presented it to the same guy who put it on my bill in the first place and he had to get his manager to issue the refund, who looked more put-out than apologetic or embarrassed. After a fair amount of waiting, he said "Ok, $34.50 has been refunded to your credit card", slid the paperwork across the counter and said "Here you go". Not a "Sorry", "terribly sorry this happened", not even a "FU". Apparently this is a part of their business model. In simple terms, they attempted to steal $34.50 from me, and would have if I hadn't looked at the invoice once I got home. I cannot imagine that their share of the $34 was worth ruining a good relationship, but that's what happened to me. I recommend shopping somewhere else and looking at your invoice before paying. Although I love cars (and even studied the NADA book as a nerdy kid), I'm an absolute idiot when it comes to things under the hood. That's why I rely on places like Big-O to work on my car. This location is on Shelbyville Road in the Middletown area near the Evergreen intersection. The bottom line is this: The front line staff is tremendously helpful, friendly, and patient...and the team of mechanics is lightening quick! I brought my car in on a holiday weekend to get new tires...and even though it was busy and I had some financial issues to figure out, everyone (in particular, a gentleman name either Ivan or Iban?) was helpful. Even better, I got my car back alot quicker than I anticipated! Although I probably paid a little more than if I went somewhere else, it was well worth it because now I have peace of mind while driving. So, drive on over to Big-O! read more

David, Kris, and Chris were awesome. I needed a tire fixed and a wheel alignment and they got me in immediately and made the repairs.

I was told that I needed a bunch of work done on my car by another company. I went to Big O' Tires to get the brakes changed and met with Brandon. He suggested that his team take a look before they started any of the work, and it turns out I did not need them changed at all! They also checked everything else in the car to make sure everything was okay. Will be going back when it is time to get it changed! read more

They also offered me a $25 rebate on the Big-O brand tire which was priced in the middle but with a better warranty. They listened to my plan for the car and gave me the right product. I live less than a mile from this store location. I walked to the location on a Friday after having blown (2) tires. I intended on purchasing (4) new Tires & Wheels. I was greeted by a young man and told him my situation. He made little to no eye contact and was disinterestsed throughout. His response was "You might want to come back in a few days, we are very busy". Really?!? What poor customer service! One employee should not represent all at a locaiton, but clearly some training should be done with all employees on Customer Service 101. I took my business to Discount Tires, where I was greeted in the parking lot before I could get out of my car by an employee. I was given several options and got new wheels & tires put on within the hour. Glad Big O Tire was so busy to pass up the $1,100 in business I was ready to hand them. read more

Stopped in Big O on Shelbyville Rd Middletown location to have a tire mounted and balanced. After 1 1/2 hours my car was ready. Cost me $55. Never paid that much anywhere before. They told me how much of a pain my tire was. Don't recommend them whatsoever and they won't get any my business again. read more

I got brand new tires at this store and less than a week later, took a trip to Northern Indiana. About 2 hours into the drive my tires started to make a loud noise and I lost control of my car. I pulled over and called this Big O location and they told me to call a store close to Indy for them to take a look (I chose Big O because their insurance works in different states but my recent experience proved that not to be the case). The Indy Big O store was very rude and would not see me because they claimed to be very busy so I went to a small tire shop that I saw close to where I pulled off. This shop took a look and after only a few seconds realized that my tire was hanging on by two lugnuts as a result of Big O not tightening the others during my recent visit. This caused the bolts under the lugnuts to strip and fall off. The guys at this tire shop said a few more miles on the highway and my tire would have flown off causing the car to flip. It took them all weekend to fix as they had to order parts and were closed the next two days causing me to have to make other travel arrangements to get to where I was going and back to Louisville. This poor attention to detail cost me a lot of money on both travel/lodging arrangements and repairs. Big O only offered an apology over email and a refund for the insurance I bought which was not even half the price of the repair in Indy. I at least expected them to cover the cost of the repair for the new parts and service since it was their mistake. I would not recommend this shop unless you have the time to make sure after your repairs that all of your tires are on securely. read more
