I've taken six vehicles to Certified for repairs over the last 10 years since moving to Oldham County. Since Steve sold the business a year or more ago, I was a little apprehensive to say the least because the service had been exceptional. Steve assured me I would get the same service from Nate, the new owner. There's been a huge turnover in the last year due to retirements, health issues etc. However, I still take my vehicles there because the service hasn't changed. Just as promised. The main replacement personnel are just as good or better. Honestly, integrity found there. They warrant their work! The two negative 1 Star reviews should be ignored. Had this location perform 100K mile service on my Honda Pilot, which I have owned and maintained…read moresince new. $1700 which included timing belt kit replacement (tensioner, belt, water pump). After 2 years, the engine developed a loud knock. Inspection by another shop found the timing belt disintegrating and the tensioner was failing. Calling Ken Towery's and referencing my previous work order number, they were unable to tell me what parts/manufacturer were used. When I stated a timing belt should last much longer than 2 years, they stated it was outside the warranty period and there was nothing they could do. After inspecting the parts they used, they appeared to be sub-OEM quality. Attached pictures show pieces of the timing belt as it was coming apart. Also, the wrong color anti-freeze was used for a Japanese vehicle. The front line staff is very friendly, as a positive.

Luckily I was by their Crestwood KY shop. I took it to them in a panic due to us traveling. They greeted us and quickly took my car back to diagnose the issue. During waiting for the issue to be resolved they offered us water, coffee, and snacks several times. After they diagnose the issue and reset to code and made sure it wasn't getting the error code, they sent us on our way to enjoy a weekend in Nashville.
