What can I say about this shop? Well let's start with the awesome attitude of the team. From getting out of the shop to help open doors for the elderly, to just simply asking how your day was. I have been hunting for wheels and tires for a month now. I had the opportunity to work with Alberto. I have seen his name here a few times in the reviews. All great reviews. Never heard of the man before but it is the reason I am here and to see others that had a 100% positive experience because of him speaks volumes. This man went above and beyond. One of two shops able to find what I was looking for with the right fitment. I went to discount, victors, les Schwab and a few other local shops. He was the one to put in the most work. I really appreciate all the hard work and dedication you have for your job and customers. I didn't not purchase my tires from the shop. Not because of anything negative. But Alberto seriously had my loyalties questioned. I do need a shop that can handle all my maintenance on when it comes to my tires, ball joints and many other things. These guys are good... don't get me wrong but when I asked them to pick me up from work during my lunch break so I could get my vehicle, I wasn't picked up until 30mins (took up my whole fucken lunch) the thing I don't appreciate is that the manager stated that he had left... 12:50ish then I called again, "he should be there" then I called again at 1:05, "he should be there.." Fast forward, the rep picked me up at 1:15pm which was the time I'm suppose to clock back in from lunch. Now I work 7mins away from the location, in the social services building... don't give me the fucken excuse that you couldn't find the building because you failed to utilize your "smart phone" to use your GPS. You got me fucked up. Now that I'm finally back from work, I get a write up for clocking in late from lunch. Who's fault is that? I take accountability but it's the principle that if the manager didn't LIE to me that the rep had left at the time he did, I would have easily been dropped off by a co worker or could have easily took an uber there but since I work ONLY 7mins away, I decided I'll just have them pick me up. I just had a flat fixed at the Big O at 4745 South State Street in Murray Utah and it was a terrific experience. The only reason I went here is because the Discount tire on 4500 South in Murray told me it would take over 3 hours to get a flat fixed. Russ Gibbons at Big O took care of it in 20 minutes and didn't even charge me even though I got the tires at Discount, I won't be going back to Discount, but Russ and Big O has earned my business. I will drive from Utah County to the 4745 South State Big O location in Utah to give them my business as long as I love in Utah. I needed some attention in a hurry because my tire had a leak and I was on my way to Park City for an important sales appointment. Colton and his awesome friendly staff treated me like I was related to them. They not only replaced all of my valve stems, but noticed that my lights on the front were blurry and old looking so they buffed them up because the wait was a little longer than expected. Shortly after that visit I stopped in to purchase new tires because the leak was still coming from a cracked rim which they identified for me. I have stopped in several times since and they always recognize me and are genuinely happy to see me. Small acts of kindness go a long way. I have also changed my oil and done an alignment there since my first visit. I seriously want everyone to know, and tell everyone I know that they NEED to do business with Colton And his team at this location. I would now do anything I can for any of them and treat them as they treat me. All 4 of my tires on my 4 Runner needed to be changed. I went in and was greeted by Colton. Super nice guy and showed me all the different and best options for my car. I got 4 tires for about $150 each and didn't have to wait long for them to finish. I did however need more work on the car. I was told it'd take about 2-3 hrs, and if I dropped it off in the morning they'd that me work! So nice of them to do that. I went in the following Saturday and was told it'd be more like 4 hours, which I was fine with. It was a Saturday so I didn't need to be anywhere, so I just went to the Fashion Place mall down the street. When the car was finally done, Colton apologized for the long wait but I didn't mind at all, they did give me a time frame, and they finished within it so I was happy :) Colton and the rest of the staff were so friendly, so I will definitely be going to this location for tires! read more

Went on my annual road trip to my brothers house for the 4th of July from Cali to Ogden, Utah. During my trip out I had some terrible wobble. Early in the 4th I had some downtime so I called around to see who was the best price. Big O won. About $25 for a balance and rotate. Dropped it off and filled out paperwork and took off. Later towards the end of the day they called me and told me the tires were to worn they could not legally touch it. I was either out of luck or had to buy new tires I opted to pick up my vehicle. Then my brother remembered he had a friend that just bought his own equipment. Took it over there and he did it for me. I purchased this vehicle less than 20k miles ago so I have never had to replace the tires and they are not Big O brand for sure. In the process of getting them balanced and rotated by a friend this is what I realized(the friend had previously worked for many years doing this for a living but doesn't anymore). The tires were less than five years old based on the date stamp so they were within the legal date range to be worked on and they had about an 8th of an investigation before they were touching the wear markers so they were well within the tread legal range. Big O didn't want to spend the time on my vehicle because they knew I was not and would not be a customer of theirs because the tires were not from them and I lived out of state. The guys wanted to leave early because it was a holiday. I was the last vehicle in the lot when I got there to get my vehicle and they were standing there with my keys in hand when I showed up. They didn't even air up my tires. I realized they only offered this service at this rate to bring in repeat customers and I wasn't going to be so they didn't care about my business. They would rather have my drive 700 miles back home with wobbly tires. Terrible service decision. Not sure if these stores are corporate or franchised but the BigOs in Cali will never get my business from now on. They were never going to get future business from me anyways that's not in question but they wouldn't have received a poor review if they would have just done what they should have done rather than thinking I would fall for a lame excuse. My vehicle was there for over six hours and they rushed me there just before closing to not have the car finished!!! They didn't even bother trying to put anything back in its the right place. I came in just to fix a flat. They were not able to fix my flat so they just put my donut tire on my car which was fine. However they broke the trunk on my car and now it will not close. My trunk of course was not like that when I brought my car to them. I can not drive with my trunk flying up and they would not fix it or take responsibility for this. The manager was very rude because he knows they are responsible. Since I now have a tire to pay for and a trunk to now fix I will NEVER be back and this is where I used to go all the time because I liked the techs. Horrible Experience. We bought 4 tires from Big O with the lifetime warranty for our bmw. 9 months later the tread was separating 1/4 the way around on the inner edge of the tread. My husband went to talk to them since they are under warranty. They told him it was an alignment issue. MY HUSBAND IS A BMW TECHNICIAN! He tried reasoning with them and telling them there is no way it's an alignment issue. If it was an alignment issue, the tread would have been worn all the way around the tire, not just a quarter of it. They REFUSED to honor the warranty. I talked to them twice on the phone and they were rude and not helpful. I called corporate 3 times and they "put in a request". I am not one to leave bad reviews but this is UNACCEPTABLE. Who better to tell you and prove to you it's not an alignment issue, than a BMW technician. We have bought multiple tires from them over the years but they lost our business for life on this one. read more

I was driving down State Street in Salt Lake City a few years back and saw the Big O Tires store on 4745 South State Street and thought I would pop in for an overdue oil change. I have never been so impressed by a car care professional. The owner of this store, Kent Coleman, came out and shook my hand. The entire staff has always been very professional. I take my Jeep in for oil changes and tires and I am always in and out very quickly. I have referred several friends to this location and no one has ever been disappointed. This has got to be hands down the most honest shop I've ever been to. I had the disaster of a lifetime. A construction blade in the tire on my 2015 Mazda CX-5. Holy shit right? I figured that it could be repaired and took my car in so he them look. The tech could stick his finger all the way through. No no can do on the repair! Dammit. The manager informed me that they could replace the tire for me. Ok sounds good! Unfortunately, he informed me that the Toyos were so new that nobody had them. So they couldn't sell me a TpYo that matched the rest of the tires. The guy working then told that I really shouldn't get any other tire because my car is all wheel drive and all the tires should match so I should have the dealership order one. Really? I'm obviously an ignorant moron when it comes to cars, so I expected him to sell me any old tire. And he didn't. Honestly is something that is so few and far between nowadays. This place is teaming with integrity, I'd highly recommend taking your cars here. read more

Although the people are nice and the place is clean-I will not be taking my car back here again, nor would I recommend it. (at least not for tire service) This was the second time in a year that we have had problems. The first was getting a new tire, which was put on wrong and we ended up with a bent rim. (My daughters car and she paid someone else to fix it.) I brought my car in just to check the tire pressure today since I had a low tire warning. The nice young man checked it and his machine said I had under 10 lbs in it. I asked him if that could be wrong, since the tire wasn't anywhere near flat. He insisted it was correct. He checked my other tires and the same thing all under 10 lbs. I again questioned the correctness of his equipment and he insisted it was correct and filled all four tires to 34 lbs as recommended. I knew something was wrong and went to another tire service company who checked my tires again. They were all filled to over 70 psi. (lucky I didn't take it on the freeway and blow all four!) When I spoke to the Big O manager, I only got an "I'm sorry, I will talk to them and maybe recalibrate the machines." I had been a loyal customer for a very long time (at another location) but no more. My life is worth a lot more than loyalty to a tire store. (State Street MurrayUtah) read more
