I've used the Big O near University Mall for years. The same guys have been there for years. They are always straightforward and honest.

I looked on the Big o tire website and they said that they would rotate your tires for free . So I went to see if they would rotate my tires for free and they Said it only applies if you buy their tires there or it would cost a $30 fee which I understood but I told them that I could not do it until payday. I was really embarrassed because my husband recently passed away and he always does this stuff for our cars and so I expressed to him that I would come back once I got paid and he told me that not to worry he would take care of it for free. Went to get my tire fixed from a screw. Staff was very helpful and opened the door for me as I came in. Unfortunately a piece of my brake cover broke off in the process. They came in told me and gave me the tire service for free, ordered the new part to be replaced, and assured me they would take care of everything. I replaced my own tie rod ends and steering linkage. All I needed was an alignment. I came to this store. I asked the manager if he could torque down three extra bolts a put a new cotter pin in ($1 and bolts really easy to get to). He acted really put out so I didn't push it. The manager then told me the alignment was going to cost $160. I was a little dismayed because Les Schwab quoted me $125. I asked if he priced matched (normal thing to do in the tire shop world). He said no. He said that $125 would cover a car but not a dually truck and he gave me a story about how duallys are harder. Of course they are when compared to a car!!! Seems to me like he assumed I was a dummy. But Apparently, alignment price at Les Schwab for my Dually is $125. I called to double-check while I was waiting. I showed the manager the online alignment price at Les Schwab again. He still wouldn't price match. I called a different Big O store 1 mile away and asked how much they charged. This associate told me $129. THIS OTHER ASSOCIATE SAID HE COULD ALSO GIVE ME A COUPON for $10-15 off! I relayed this info again to the manager. He said he couldn't do anything because a franchise owner set the price. I asked if I could get a 10 dollar off coupon (he didn't offer one like the other store did) and he finally caved. He also didn't put a $1 cotter pin in (I would've paid for it) and he didn't torque 3 extra bolts down either. I was the only customer there and there were 4 guys standing around, two of which were on their phone. Basically, if I'd gone just1 more mile down the road to a different Big O I would've only been charged $115 instead of $150 and much better customer service. It would've taken me just a few more minutes to save $35. Don't bring your business here. I know a thing or two about mechanical things. I wonder what he would tell someone who didn't know any better. read more

I have always had a positive experience with these guys. This morning I took another car in that I could tell had a slow leak in a tire. They checked it out and they found two holes into tires and patch them all up for me for free! They just told me to come back and see him, I really appreciate the efforts they make to create returning customers. I will always bring my vehicles to this location. read more

This Big O tires is disappointing. I went in there to get a pair of tires switched on a Tesla model S. On the phone they quoted me $19.95 per tire. When I got there they said that since it was a high performance tire it would cost $50 per tire which made sense at the time. I was in a hurry and paid the price anyways but later called them back to see how much it would've really cost. The price they quoted for the tire and model per wheel was actually $39.95. I ended up paying $40 more than I should've for the whole process. Their service was quick but being overcharged and taken advantage of was really disappointing to see. read more

5 stars!!! I was on a road trip to Bryce Canyon National Park and needed a tire rotation. Nowhere else in town could, Big O said they could. Got me in and out in under 10 minutes and didn't charge me when the board said $30 for the service. Big O Tires - Sales floor. - Tires Near Me - Orem, Utah

Several years ago I purchased 4 new tires for my truck. Along with tire purchase I also received front end alignment. Truck pulled to the right, I went in for correction of alignment and ended up replacing upper and lower ball joints, left and right. Truck continued to pull right. I returned to this Big O several times to correct alignment and always received the same answer, "it is in alignment". I finally ended up at another shop to check alignment, they told me that it was so far out of alignment they had to make visual corrections until the computer could detect alignment. Two new tires later and recommendation of upper and lower ball joints, left side I returned to this Big O. Two new ball joints another alignment which cost more than a quote from the other shop even with the ball joints cost covered. Last week left side rotor inside brake shoe totally worn out. Now two new rotors new brakes, all just an unfortunate coincidence???? I will never go back to this store and I am telling everyone I know and even strangers in passing to avoid this store. read more

Wow - can I just say first off IMPRESSIVE?! Back story: I originally had my axle, rotors, brakes, and alignment done (2 days ago) at a different Big O Tires location. Cost a pretty penny! This morning - I took my car to its dealership to get 2 recalls done. After they performed the recalls, they told me that my car was out of alignment - which was pretty shocking because I just had it done 2 days ago at (another location) Big O Tires. So since I was in Orem today, I went to this Orem location, explained to them I paid an arm and leg to get my car serviced at another Big O Tires location 2 days ago. Jerramie JONES greeted me with a big smile and I told him my story and showed him the paperwork the dealership showed me that my car was out of alignment. He did explain to me that every location was its own franchise - and he was surprised how the other location I went to didn't perform what I paid for. So with the goodness of his heart, he took my car in, inspected the alignment (and the other things that were supposed to be done). Everything was done correctly, BUT it was indeed out of alignment! I was blown away how another location can charge me for a service that I assumed was done (and done right) and I paid good money for, wasn't done at all!! Not only did JONES make me feel like he would value me as a customer, but he also made me feel like they do things right in their book! So they aligned my car here (at no charge!) and gave me a verified paper saying it's now aligned (which I didn't even get at the other location!). Anyways - even though this location is further away from my home, I will be driving to this Orem location goin forward - not only for their exceptional customer service, but how they do things right in their book! took my car in for a front end alignment and was prepared to pay the $110 for it, was told later that it needed Inner Tie Rods (both sides) and was quoted a total cost of $633. I told them to take it down and proceeded to call my mechanic who quoted me $450 for the same work I chose to do the tie rods myself for $150, then took the car back in for the alignment + 2 used tires ($200) then they tried to get another 200 out of me for the strut spot welds (specific car problems) over 1 tire being .2 degrees out of range when I called my mechanic about this they said that it probably wasnt worth it and to just rotate the tires every 3 oil changes total cost $350 (tie rods, inner and outer, 2 used tires and alignment) Mechanic Projected cost $530 (inner tie rods, alignment, 2 used tires) Big O projected total cost $910 (inner tie rods, alignment, 2 used tires, strut spot welds) I will never return to Big O after this - I'll just book the appointment with my regular mechanic and save nearly 1/2 read more

They have taken care of me and my cars for years, they have provided the highest quality of service I've ever experienced in the automotive industry! I cannot day enough good about Brad and his team of professionals. They all know their stuff, they are willing to work for your business and they are crazy efficient! My husband went in a few weeks ago with a flat tire that was under warranty and had it replaced. He was told he needed a whole new rack and pinion and a tie rod. The bill came to about $850 at the end of the day but they were super friendly and seemed genuine so we felt like it was a good experience. This week I got a flat tire on my Toyota, Sienna and took it in. Jeremy said I needed a new rack and pinion and back shocks. I haven't ever had to replace a rack and pinion on any car ever so it seemed weird that suddenly both cars, just weeks apart, needed such a big repair. I took the car to my usual mechanic the next day. They said the rack and pinion was wet but did not have a dripping leak, the power steering fluid was not low, and I hadn't noticed anything wrong with the steering so they said it definitely did not need to replaced right now. Shocks were showing some wear so that seemed more justified but I feel totally taken and really regret that we spent the $800 on the first, probably completely unnecessary repair. read more

This was great. My wife had a flat tire, so I changed it to the spare donut tire. We took the car in to Big O, and they repaired the tire for $20! I was pretty excited about that price after expecting to pay $150-ish for a new tire. They also switched back the tires and put the donut back under all the panels in the back of my wife's car. Not sure if this is something to be impressed with, but I was really impressed. I'll be going again. read more

Used to come to them (prior to 2015) all the time. Always had a great experience. No issues, honesty and transparency. Well a few years ago we go in and they tell us that, essentially, the entire suspension needed replaced; over a grand in repairs. Since they had always been good I trusted them (they even showed me a tear in a sheath). They also rotated balanced and aligned the tires. I wasn't certain that all of that needed done after I spoke with a sibling of mine. They told me that they had friends who worked there, and that management had changed. My sibling was now disappointed with their own service. On top of that the car's alignment was so bad that it was uncomfortable to drive on the freeway because of the pull. Didn't dare to bring it back. Overall it just makes me sad, it was my go to place for all things wheel and suspension, so now I have to search elsewhere. read more

They are not honest - I have gone here 3 times to get a nail hole (not in the sidewall) repaired. They always tell me I need a new tire and it cannot be repaired. Other places will repair them with no issues. Even if you just need new tires, go somewhere else. read more

My first experience was deceivingly amazing. I use the word deceiving because... you'll see. When I got there and asked for a tire rotation the guy - who I was impressed with for greeting me by the shop door - said he would do it for free once he found out that I had never been there before. Great right? Came back for an oil change with non-synthetic oil and they tried hard-core to get me to buy synthetic instead, which I didn't, but I figured "hey that's just a part of their job". 20 minutes into waiting a guy comes out with the classic dirty air filter telling me that he needs to change those out as well as $600 worth of repairs including my axel and a "gasket". "Which gasket? Where?" I asked because I had a heck of a time helping my brother-in-law find and replace my transmission pan gasket and I half-expected it to be that but all I got was a guy giving me a weird and surprised look that I actually knew something and he brushed off my question to start talking about all the other repairs shoving an itemized bill in my hand. When I told him I literally didn't have the money even if I wanted to he looked annoyed through a fake smile... and took about an additional 45-50 minutes for the oil change as I stared at the ONE OTHER GUY waiting with me wondering what was going on. When I asked my uncle - a mechanic by trade - about these repairs he went through one by one to tell me how each one of those "needed repairs" on the itemized bill was in his words "bull" as he inspected my car. In exchange for their deceptive service then I now give you Big O' Tires of 700 N State Street an honest review. Have a good one. read more

I went into Big O to get a quote for tires on my wife's car so I could compare with the quote I got from Costco. The total was a little more than what Costco quoted me but I still decided to go with Big O because the location was a little more convenient and they've always been great to work with in the past. In addition to the quote for tires, I was told an alignment would be another $109. After the tires and alignment were completed I was pleasantly surprised to find that the total was actually significantly less than what I was told the day before and still less than what Costco quoted me for just tires and installation. read more

I was in Utah over Labor Day weekend in a rental car. My tire pressure was low on my rear tire so I stopped and filled it at a convenience store. After about 2 hours it was low again. We stopped at Big O in Orem ten minutes before closing on Saturday the 31st. My tire had a slash in the wall. They wouldn't be able to get that size in until Tuesday after the holiday. I had to have the car back in Vegas the following afternoon. They were so nice! They didn't want me and my daughter and her friend and my young grandchild stranded. Or having to wait for roadside assistance. The mechanic stayed about 10 minutes later and found a used tire to replace it. )the tire was an odd size). They didn't even charge me! I've gone to Big O for years and have always been satisfied and have purchased several tires from them. However, I went in for a leak in a tire on My new car so it didn't have Big O tires on it. Their charge to fix the leak was outrageous! $26.76 to fix a flat is way out of line. Their prices on everything seems to have gone up. They have lost my business permanently. Keller told it to me straight, telling me exactly what I needed to get replaced today vs. what I could postpone for a little longer considering the hefty price tag of the things that needed to be done today. He allowed me to use the loaner car to run to work as he said it would be a few hours to fix everything. They ended up getting it done quicker than originally quoted, which was nice. I am a former Big O customer since visiting this outlet. I was running Big O tires on my 4x4 pickup I purchased at Big O. Expensive tires. One was leaking and Big O advertises free flat repair. They very reluctantly said they would fix the leak. They didn't and it still leaked after leaving. They had my truck in and out so quickly I do not think they did anything. I was intending to replace the tires in a week or two and did so.....at California Tires on State Street in Orem. I will never again do business with Big O. Not at this dealership nor any other. And, I have bought many tires at Big O. All it takes is one bad experience to wreck a relationship. Big O are you listening? One star rating from me and I'd give them a half star if that rating were available. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere if you're considering a tire purchase! read more

Big O SCAM!!!! **************take your business somewhere else! I used to get all of my oil changes and servicing needs at Big O. THAT IS, until I came to THIS Big O. I came to this location to get an oil change, and my tires rotated. Simple, right? Jeremy brought out a dirty air filter and suggested that I get a new one, yada yada, it seemed like your usual tire shop visit. About a half an hour later I was informed that my cars alignment was so out line, that I needed 2 new tires and an alignment correction. Whatever. After paying a $800 bill I got in my car to leave, only to find that the steering wheel felt extremely loose. There was so much play in the steering wheel... Yikes right?! I took my car around the block and brought it back, and some brilliant mechanic drove it around the lot, got out and said. "Feels fine to me." Seriously? I literally just drove it there! It was extremely and noticeably different. He wouldn't take a closer look at my broken car, probably because it was around 5 o clock and they were getting ready to close. I drove my car home and took it back in the morning... Same thing. Someone got in my car, drove around, and said. "There is nothing wrong". You people wouldn't even take a closer look at my car! How are you supposed to know if there is nothing wrong! I took my car to the Toyota Dealership a month later, and they let me know that "It seems like the alignment hasn't been done in years!" They couldn't believe how out of align the steering was, they were shocked that I hadn't wrecked. It turns out that someone cutting corners or just did a plain bad job, ruined my steering. Toyota did the alignment, and gave me a signed document saying that if I had any more problems in the next month or so they would fix it for free. Where as BIG O wouldn't even look at my car, after they ruined my steering. Big Os crap job was so bad on my car, it wore down some pins in the steering wheel making it so that the steering would never be as same as it was before. Take your car to someone you know, who is trusted. Or to the dealership where they would be held accountable or will do it right the first time. read more

By far the best service in town. My wife's car was in need of some new tires and before we were able to make it in to replace them, she hit a pothole and had a blowout. She called the shop and spoke with Jay, he was extremely helpful and said he'd have it all taken care of. These guys came out to the location in the middle of a snowstorm, swapped out the tire with a spare, took it back to the shop, replaced the tires, performed an alignment, and changed the oil all within 2 hours. It's not too often you get service like that anymore. These guys have definitely won my business for good. read more

I'm sure they might do decent work, but I guess I'll never know. $90 for a brake bleed? Lets do the math here, even if they charge $89/hour, which they do, it only takes 20-30 min to bleed brakes. That's $45, plus $5 in brake fluid, and add a 30% markup on the brake fluid. That comes out to just over $50. Funny, I paid about $52 to have the same job done at the Big O down by the mall. News flash assholes. Not every customer that walks through your doors is as stupid as you. Unlike you, some of us can do simple math in our heads and know when we're being quoted twice your own shop rate. read more
