Went in for new struts and tires. They asked me if I wanted the springs and mounts replaced while they were doing the struts and I declined. In the end, they replaced them anyways and only charged the price I was quoted for the struts. 350$ discount!!! Everyone I talked to was super friendly and helpful. Took my daughters car there in the morning to get the alignment done,Amber said she could fit it in if I could leave it there said it would only take two to three hours I hadn't heard from them so at 2:25 PM I called Amber said they had a truck on the alignment rack that took longer then they thought but it was coming off and my car was next an hour later still nothing from them so I called Amber again and got told the same story the same truck was still up on the alignment rack and my daughters car still wasn't done and that it would be around 5 before it got done I asked for the manager and she got David who told me the same thing that it would be around 5 before my daughters car would be ready didn't give any apologies or anything told them I was coming to get the car and he didn't even try to say we'll get it up on the back or anything. He just said whatever come get your car. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had at Les Schwab and I would never refer anybody to this location ever again and I referred quite a few and they've done work on my car before, but this is this was beyond ridiculous and totally unprofessional on both of them Amber and David if I could go lower than one star I would, but it won't let me read more

I came in to the Midvale location mid afternoon on a Friday. I kept getting the warning light come on regarding low tire. We would just fill it thinking it was from the colder weather. David welcomed me into the store and asked what he could help me with. I explained what was going on and he advised they were busy and would make sure they took care of my request as soon as possible. Although I had to wait, I heard nothing but great customer service from all the service team. It was awesome to experience great customer service that was genuine. You get a one ONLY because you can't leave a review with a negative star. I will never NEVER go back there again. I took my car in to get a flat fixed & tire rotation. Next thing I know the technician comes over to me and throws a $2,000.00 bill in front of me and says I have to buy new tires. I said I'm not going to buy new tires and he said "then I can't fix your tires, your tread depth is to shallow" I said just give me my car back, it's all about money to you guys. Next thing I know he comes whipping out of the building racing through the parking lot driving my car like he's Jeff Gordon. Then he parks my car out by the street, leaves it running with the door wide open, what an asshole. Oh and then he says, I pulled the screw out of the tire for you, which we all know he did it just to be an ahole. I called the manager and he was a major ahole too. Sorry to tell you Les Schwab, I spoke to a cop in my neighborhood and he said there is "plenty" of tread left on my tires. If you don't want to fix it fine, don't be an asdhole. Needless to say I'm calling corporate about this. BTW, I went to Big O, they also said there was plenty of tread on my tires and guess what, they fixed the tire...... for free. read more

On October 20th 2022 my daughter got the help of the high school auto shop at the end of her school day with her flat tire. They put a temporary plug in the tire as a temp fix till she could get to a tire shop. As a dad I appreciated that. The next day I was able to take the tire to the neighborhood Discount Tire (1652 W. 7000 S.) who I just suggested my son go to for new tires. I went to the counter and Monte came to talk to me. I explained the situation and he curtly said, we will not fix that where it was plugged. I, having some familiarity with tire repair told him it is totally safe and there are no regulations where the plug is located the inhibits him from fixing it. He let me know that they were not going to fix it but that I could replace it by purchasing, new tires from them, although these are almost new. The guy was not nice, helpful and could not support (explain) his reasoning so I took my tire and left. I will not return or even suggest Discount Tire again. The Next day (22nd of October 2022) I drove down to the Les Schwab on 144 W. 7200 S. and talked with Bryant and Dave about my tires. Yes tires (two), I noticed a low tire on my Jeep after going home from Discount Tire. These guys were friendly, knowledgeable shared their thoughts on the tires which was of course, yes they can be repaired. They seemed to enjoy their job which gave an inviting, friendly and comfortable environment. I will be back as a born again Les Schwab guy. I asked Bryant for some prices and options on tires for my wife's car and though tires are not cheep I know that it will be well worth having these guys do the job. Slow, untruthful service, they told me it would take an hour and half to swap 5 tires on to new wheels, took more than 4 hours for a simple job. Went home and came back in an hour an a half and they still were working on other cars that came in after I did. Didn't even start pulling the tires off until I walked over to the bay to look. read more

I hope to visit as infrequently as possible, but when I do need basic work done, they're as good of a shop as any. I needed new tires on my truck--I had postponed long enough--and so I found myself in the showroom. It was the brakes that finally persuaded me to come in and get it all done at the same time. They were pretty darn efficient, and I think the pricing was middle of the road. I don't think I got a screaming deal, but I didn't overpay either. It ended up being quite a bit of work (the thingymadoody was also in need of replacement), but even so, they only had my vehicle for the better part of a day--not bad for a same-day dropoff. That may not always be possible (think ahead to snow tire season, people!) but it did for me. Not much to say about the shop. I did hang out there for a while and it was fine. Clean, courteous, a bit dated, and fine if you want to peruse the tires or park it while they work on your baby. read more

Walked in at 4:05 pm stood around for 15 minutes waiting to be helped with no one at the front counter at all. Was told at 4:15 they didn't have time for a simple rotation. As a service truck driver for a tire store this is just appalling to be told by the store manager he wasn't staying late to do a rotation I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody read more

These guys are outstanding in customer service. I bought all 4 new tires from these guys before going on a road trip to Montana. I had a manufactures issue with the tire while I was on the road in the middle of Idaho and had to go to another tire shop because it was on a Sunday and all Les Schwab tire centers are closed. I had to buy a whole new tire with mounting and balancing just to finish my trip. Les Schwab warrantied EVERTHING! Replaced the bad tire no questions asked and reimbursed me in full for the tire I had bought to finish out my trip. I understand things happen, but what these guys did about it made the difference. We ran over a nail and our tire had a small leak. The tire was brand new. We took the car to Tim Dahle Nissan, where we bought the car. Tim Dahle told us the tire could not be repaired and we would need to buy a new tire. I took the same tire to Les Schwab and not only did they fix the leak, but they also did it free of charge. I recommend Les Schwab for anything tire related. They have my business, forever. read more

2 minutes ago Went in for a flat repair 1 month ago, and had a tire rotation done as well I was told I had a bad cv axle so I had it fixed. 1000 miles later I am in there again same tire is flat, and one is worn badly. I have 5000 miles on these tires that i bought a couple of months ago. The Manager Juergen priced me a new tire. I had totally forgot about the warranty, until my brother mentioned it later. When I arrived to get my car 3 hours later. I asked Juergen about the warranty and he started telling me I had a barring severely loose and it needed to be fixed. I never got a call why it was there, and Juergen never mentioned it until I asked about a warranty. I've had my tires rotated 2 times in three months cause I was there for a flat. Fixed everything they have ever told me I needed too. Now I have no warranty on brand new tires. Then was laughed at by himself and two other employees as I was leaving. As they sarcastically commented to have a wonderful day as I was walking out. I have never felt so disrespected or been treated this way by a business of any kind, especially one that I trust and believe in. I am disappointed to say the least. Not right Juergen. read more

After a horrible experience at a competitor I decided to swing by and see what's the beef with Les Schwabb. Prineville, OR based company with a strong reputation... Prices tend to be a little more than competitors but now I see why... Greeting -- outside the door someone greeted me almost at my vehicle! Very welcoming and warm greeting for a cold day to be posted up outside. Experience -- Austin and Shane (GM?) helped me. Austin's level of custormer service was fantastic. While it seemed like he may be a newer employee navigating through systems, he always found the answer I was looking for. In no way were they pushing me to a specific product or a more expensive one. Listened to my needs and found the product that met them. When freezing rain and ice shut down I-84 (stopping the delivery truck with my wheels on it) Austin made sure to call me a couple times throughout the day to give me an update. Once the truck finally arrived they made my vehicle top priority to work on and had me out of there in 30 minutes. End result -- New tires and wheels. Free maintenance and rotations. Never shopping elsewhere again. read more

The shop is super clean and everybody is super friendly. They grab the door for you when they see you walking up and greet you like you're coming to a restaurant. They were able to get the over torqued lug nuts off my car when discount wasn't, and they did not charge me a lot of money. They absolutely saved the day. read more

As a female it is easy to be taken advantage by auto repair services. This place is the worse that I have seen in years. The work I need done took hours. Most places would have done it much faster but I needed somewhere close to home. Then after I got home I looked at the billing and seen that the tires had no warranty. And they had given me an estimate on some other work that "needed to be done very soon". Long story short I had my vehicle checked by another service and was told that I did not need the work done that the quote was for. Am sure glad I checked rather than believing them. All I can say is if you are a female you need to find another place to have your auto work done. Will never fall for their fake reports again. read more

On Mon. 5/30 took in my Jeep to have an alignment, in the process their tech broke a bolt; on Sat. 6/4 took my Jeep in again, this time to have the broken bolt replaced and have the tires re-aligned, the time was just after 12pm, I was told to return at 3pm. After 3+ hours I returned to an untouched car; nothing had been done. A simple $60 alignment turned to a costly, and time consuming repair job; they made me responsible for the cost of the broken bolts, $130+. Now need to return on Mon. 6/13, to see 'if they are available' to complete the repair. I do not recommend this company, or at least this particular location. read more

I went in today to have a slow leaking tire inspected and repaired and was informed that my tires were dangerously unsafe and that I would need to buy new tires immediately. Only catch is I had my car in to a different shop about a week ago for an alignment and inspection and was informed that I have plenty of tread depth AND I inspect my tires every week with a tread depth gauge so I really do know what condition my tires are in. The only reason I can think this would have gone this way is that they wanted to make a quick buck off of someone, which is really disappointing. read more

I would not even give 1 star to this company! I have had 2 full sets of tires within a year and a half and have had to pay full price for both sets. I recently got a flat in my front tire, 3rd time, went in to Les Schwab as this is where 7 months ago I bought it and they said I would have to purchase yet another at least 2 tires!! They would not warranty it! This is the worst customer service I have EVER had!! My understanding is that tires should last more than 7 months! My first set from here lasted 11 months and my second, 7 months. DO NOT GO HERE FOR TIRES unless you want to have to pay $350+ every 7-12 months for new ones! read more

All I talk about with my friends and family, is how wonderful Les Schwab treated me! After a flat tire, and another horrible night, I rolled-in on my doughnut. I was a few minutes early, hoping to get my problem solved, and Brandon J opened the doors for me. He found the problem fast, solved it, and let me relax in their waiting-area, which is awesome, by the way. He fixed my tire, didn't charge me anything, and I arrived at work early!!! Went in to recycle some tires and wheels and someone whom I assume is a manager (short, balding guy with clean hands so I would guess doesn't touch cars) asked for some basic information and then informed us it would cost $14.95. Not a lot of money but really? I'm trying to dispose of these properly; or they could've been resold or used one of the wheels and the tires. His excuse was that he needed to pay someone to "dismount the tires from the wheels." Funny thing is he didn't realize I had a former Les Schwab employee of over 7 years with me who informed me it costs them $1 per tire to recycle and takes an entire minute to dismount the tire (two minutes if you count taking it back to the scrap pile). Anyway, just considering all their commercials about great customer service, this was not the case. Go to the South Jordan one. They'll take care of you and not try and nickel and dime you the entire time. read more

What? No lower rating than one star? I think when you hear the service I received you will have to agree, no stars are warranted here. I went in about 10 days ago to have a braking pulsation issue looked at, and was told I needed new front brake pads and rotors installed. $575 and 5 hours later, the managing technician tells me there is a 500 mile break-in period, so anything short of the pedal going to the floor is normal. Driving home the pulsation issue is still there (how is the technician not noticing it?) but i figure its "breaking in". A week later, pedal goes to floor, brake service light goes on, took it back and left it. They kept it all day to replace a right front hose fitting, which they said was leaking. Drive home again, still pulsation in the pedal, i look on my service receipt and in the comments it says "address pulsation coming from REAR brakes!" Are you kidding me!? So much for addressing the correct problem the first time, and how about getting the work done correctly (thank god i wasn't driving when all the brake fluid leaked out!) So now, best case scenario I let them have it back for a third day for more guesswork and flaky installation? read more

Needed a tire change over, had my own tires. They wanted $198.00 to put on 4 tires...crazy price. Checked around average cost to do same work $20.00 per tire or less. After having a horrible experience trying to get my oil changed and breaks looked at by the dealership I called over and they could get me right in. They took care of my car and answered all my questions. They didn't do any work with out calling and taking to me, making sure I understood what was going on at every step and they had my car back to me soon than I expected. I went in because my front right side tire was making a really loud noise. I ended up buying new tires and had them check to see what was making the sound. When I went to get my car they said the front and inner tyrods were shot and needed to be replaced. So a week later I came in and spent $580 to have them replaced trusting them that that was why that sound was happening. Not even a mile away from the store it started happening again. They never test drove the car to listen to the noise and just assumed it was the tyrods. I called them back and someone told me well we need to do more investigation....shouldn't that be part of the process to begin with? Why didn't they drive it afterwards to make sure that the tyrods were the actual issue??? I am beyond frustrated and will be taking it back for them to do the job correctly. If they expect me to pay for what they should have fixed initially they have another thing coming. YOU ALL ARE THE MECHANICS not us. Next time do your jobs thoroughly so that customers like me that don't have money to throw around don't get screwed. read more
