Andy at Big O Tires helped me out BIG TIME and I'm very grateful. I originally came in from SF because one of my tires was worn down to about 4/32 and needed to be replaced. I was able to make the trip but once I hit a LA every time I hit the break a scraping noise would happen. i came in about a tire and explain what was going on with the break. Andy gave me the bad news easy that the front left brake caliper had become dislodged because a bracket bolt was missing, which was causing the abnormal noise. Well i'm not very knowledgeable about cars, so it meant a lot that he showed me what was happening and walked me through the repairs. He literally made a drawing for me as I'm a visual learner. The whole experience could have been really stressful, but Andy was patient, transparent, and made me feel like my car was in good hands. I'm really thankful they caught the issue when they did. I had a bad power steering leak that was supposed to have been fixed by my mechanic, where I live 80 miles away. The next morning when I went to my car, it was leaking all over the place. So I took it over to big O and Mario called me about an hour and a half later stating what the problem was. My mechanic should have test drove to find out that all was good but he didn't so Mario very efficiently fixed it and had it done the same day and now I can travel back to my home, knowing that it was done right. Cannot recommend the team at this Big O Tires enough -- they were fast, friendly, and provided exactly the services I needed, without recommending any unnecessary additional services/charges. They had great Black Friday deals that saved me significant costs on an oil change, tire rotation, and car inspection as well. Additionally, there was another customer in the store that was flustered about a tire repair. The employee helping her did a wonderful job listening, explaining the situation, and calmly walking through solutions. I am happy that many other customers had a positive experience at Big O, but I have to say that the service I received here was truly reprehensible. I came in with a flat tire and was helped by Mario. After offering me a steep price of $500 and refusing to negotiate, Mario suggested I call to see what the price for a tire would be at a dealership. To my surprise, the tire went for $271. After informing Mario of the results of his own suggested inquiry, he became irate and told me he could only offer me $25 off. I accepted the service because at the very least they would be able to fix the car by the end of the day. While they were working on the car, they called to inform me that there was damage on the other tire but did not offer any solutions. When I arrived to pick up the car, Mario showed me the damage (a tear on the shoulder of the tire). I asked if the tire could be patched or remediated in some other way, but he brushed me off and told me there was nothing to be done. He told me that it would likely become an issue in the future but did not offer any discount or at the very least validation for my concern of driving off in a car with lingering issues. Lo and behold, my tire started rapidly losing air pressure as I drove on the 405 freeway late last night. I am extremely grateful that I was able to safely drive back and am physically unharmed, but I am now spending yet another workday resolving an issue which should have been fixed yesterday. And to note, I was charged half the price to fix the tire today. I understand they are trying their best, but the dismissive treatment I received yesterday has made an already stressful experience even more unpleasant. I normally do not feel implored to leave feedback like this, but I believe that knowingly sending a young woman back on the road with a faulty tire was not only reckless towards me (a paying customer) but dangerous for others driving around me. My time at Big O Tires shows this is a business characterized not just by its disrespect for the intelligence of their customers, but by its blatant disregard for human life as a whole. read more

Mario and the team were absolutely fantastic. Forth coming, honest, actually showed me my cabin and air filters that needed to be replaced (as opposed to Santa Monica KIA), found me the best price for everything I needed, provided me updates throughout my service, and explained why I needed what I needed, what the costs were going to be. I had a fully synthetic oil change for my very specific Kia Niro (it only takes a unique oil, and Mario didn't have it at their garage, so he had it delivered within 30 minutes and had my tires rotated and filters replaced while they waited.) He showed me my air filter and cabin filter which were the original filters with the car, I bought it new and put 38k miles on it in 2 years. They were gray and brown and gross. Got those replaced. Found me a discount/coupon through Big O, and I was on my way. Fast forward 4 days, I do end up having to take my car to Santa Monica Kia because I had software updates and recalls that needed to be done. Santa Monica KIA tells me I need a new cabin and air filter for $230!!! I stood over the hood of my car and said, great. Let me see them. (Because I didn't want them to go and grab someone else's dirty filters from a different car.) Sure enough. Brand new filters that Big O put in 3 days prior. I've been here twice now, and both times I received outstanding service. Their prices are unbeatable for West LA. During my first visit almost a year ago, they patched my tire from a nail quickly and effectively & I haven't had a single problem with it since. For my most recent visit, I'd been dealing with a rattling noise from one of my rear tires for over a week. Firestone charged me over $20 and couldn't identify the issue. But when I brought my car to Big O Tires, they found the problem right away and fixed it at a great price. Andy at the front desk is hilarious, but also incredibly efficient. He is able to manage calls and in-person customers at the same time with professionalism and ease. He genuinely cares and knows how to make customers feel comfortable and valued (especially myself, being a female and not knowing much about cars). I also have a huge appreciation to the mechanics working so hard in the back--they're true experts. Shout-out to Alberto for taking great care of my Lexus. Needed a tire repair from a flat tire. They got the job done after 2 hours while the front guy was giving me sass. They have a fixed amount of tire options on hand, so specialized tires would need to be ordered in advance. They said they found a screw in my other tire, but I wasn't present to see them inspect it. I felt very skeptical of the work they do, not sure how I feel about it. I'd be on the lookout. read more
