I was driving to Bristol Florida and happened to pass tallahassee main attraction so my mom wanted to go through Quincy Florida where she grew up. I went for lunch on a Friday.... If you are in the area please stop and check them out. They are a hidden gem seriously. I ordered fried pork chops with greens and yellow rice and a roll. When I say in my first bit my cholesterol went through the roof, it was darn good and seasoned I didn't expect that at all . The pork chop was juicy and tender, the yellow rice with gravy chefs kiss and those greens soaked with some juice Lord have mercy. Amazing. I paired it with a sweet tea which was sweet. And I spied a cake in the corner so I had to try it couldn't leave without trying it so it was a 12 lever chocolate cake and that thing was soooooo delicious it was yellow cake and you can tell it was made homemade. My meal came up to 25 bucks. You could dine in or take out.

If you want phenomenal steak in a casual home like setting this is absolutely the place for you. Big Poppa and his wife are kind people. The restaurant is quaint, friendly service with delicious food. If it were closer to Tallahassee, I easily would come once a week. It's that good. The quality of the meat they are using was clear in the first bite I took. I had the 12 oz ribeye steak with greens and Mac and cheese. For dessert, I had the 12 layer chocolate cake. We spent less than $100 for the two of us with dessert. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures!

Sooooo good! My party was raving about this place all day after our lunch trip. I had the Salisbury steak special with mashed potatoes, rice, and a roll and my cousin had a made to order cheeseburger which she said is probably the best she's ever had at a restaurant. Everything on my plate was absolutely outstanding as well. The service was super speedy and the servers did the best job of being attentive to us without being overbearing. It's like they knew what we needed before we even realized it ourselves. It's small inside but it makes it feel like grandma's house! It's in a super cute town that if you aren't from the area like us, you probably wouldn't be familiar with, but worth going a couple minutes out of your way to check out!

Homemade rolls with sweet butter comes out with the delicious sweet tea (and unsweet for him). My hunny ordered prime rib bites and was loving the taste of the sauce. They were tender, too. We loved the crispy fried shrimp platter with homemade fries and bacon wrapped asparagus. We also ordered a kids cheese pizza(it was as expected) . The 7 layer cake to top it off. What a lovely place. Both owners instrumental with our service and interactive with the guests. It was fun for the kids to spot the owners who are pictured in the menu. There aren't a ton of tables, but the food would be worth the wait, if passing through. (Forgot to take more pics, but I did at least get the rolls)

A sweet little mom and pop restaurant in "downtown" Quincy. I had an excellent steak there: tender, juicy and caramelized beautifully. They serve it with a homemade steak sauce but I found the steak delicious without it. The sides were tasty. My partner's eggplant parm was fine. We shared a slice of housemade key lime pie which was very good. The desserts in general looked amazing, with several layer cakes also offered. Service was friendly and the food was served in record time. No beer or wine, though I did see some patrons brought their own. I would declare this likely the best meal you will get in this small town.

Was in town to pick up an order of cookies from a bakery and decided to stop by this place for a bit of lunch. Was warmly greeted upon entering and found a table immediately. Not a big space, but just right - "quaint." There is also a small outdoor dining area in front of the restaurant. I ordered one of the lunch specials: Baked chicken, mashed potatoes (homemade), collard greens, and corn muffin. My daughter ordered the pulled port sandwich with fries (which seemed to be homemade). We both enjoyed our meals. Though my baked chicken was not as "moist" as I would have preferred, it was still quite tasty. Surprisingly, the wing and breast I had were of seemingly normal size and not overly big. The young man who waited on us was very nice. Though I expected the wait time to be less than it was in that the place wasn't really crowded at the time, we weren't in a rush and didn't mind the wait. We will definitely plan to visit when back in town - probably during the dinner hour to try other menu items.

10/10 hands down one of the best overall places I've been to in a long time. Food was excellent, fresh and service was great. Give them place a try and don't forget to ask about what cakes they have.

Food was okay...The stuffed grouper wasn't very good. Although they weren't bad, I'm not a fan of pan cooked steaks. The service was good.

First of all, out in the middle of no where, odd open times but BUSY BUSY when they are open. Take a seat if available and you will be greeted and treated by their sweet littlest family members who are ready to take your drink orders. Our server was excellent and ready to host and please her guests. They seem to be VERY accommodating with their menu and requests so any questions or concerns prior to ordering do ask, because they were very willing to please! I came in with the intention of ordering the all you can eat--which is mix and match!! but the server talked me out of it (I think she under estimated my ability to pound food) BUT she said if I chose to order more and upgrade later she would do that for me with no penalty. We had 6 in our party. Our drinks came quickly and without issue. They brought us one salad (forgetting another) and honestly the salads were small and disappointing (this is where they start losing some creds). Definitely more salad dressing than salad. It's odd they chose to use disposable containers and dinner ware--I feel like a lot of waste and overhead is lost here...I mean the salad comes in a plastic clear container, with dressing in plastic ramekin with lid and on styrofoam plate with two packs of crackers. Losing too much. Especially for three bites of salad. I ordered the "deviled crab" and grilled shrimp. It came with two hush puppies which I immediately gave away (I don't eat those at all), two sides; onion rings and cheese grits. Ya'll, those onions rings were ON POINT. Don't miss out on those if you stop in. They boast that everything is homemade and I believe it. The onion rings were perfect. The cheese grits were pretty yummy--I wish I tossed my grilled shrimp in them. So the deviled crab, if you've ever had this dish before--theirs is not it. What they truly have here is a homemade crab cake. It's not bad--I ate all mine--however my two gfs could not. They were so disappointed and turned off by the texture/color of the cake. The server noticed they weren't eating theirs and was adamant about bringing them replacement food--they finally agreed to take more fried shrimp which was also very yummy. Crab claws is a new dish for me on this Florida trip--they offer it grilled, fried or blackened and I will say the grilled crab claw was delicious! For the six of us; all ordered the seafood platters (combo of 2) our total was $130 so I'd say that's very reasonable. Definitely worth the stop!!

I always start by ordering an appetizer crab claws. They are usually big and you get about 16 of them. They were a little smaller today but still delicious. I do like their tartar sauce and cocktail sauce, which is on the table. The tartar sauce taste just like I would make it and the cocktail sauce has a little less horseradish than I would put in, but it's still very flavorful. The fried shrimp is excellent. My friend likes the sweet potato fries and I like their slaw. The crabcakes Were crabby and not too much bread. Today I had the fish sandwich which was a catfish fillet on a hoagie roll. It came with lettuce, tomato, onions, and dill pickle. The dill pickles were great and I don't like pickles. The catfish was perfectly tender, coated in cornmeal and fried. I always enjoy the trip up to Attapulgus and my service is always spot on. Oh the cheese grits were good. The only thing that I dislike is that the food comes on disposable plates and Styrofoam cups. Got home with the meals, crisped up in the air fryer. Put some malt vinegar on my fish and took a bite. There was so much batter around the skinny little piece of fish I thought I was eating a doughnut with fish in it. The actual fish wasn't the usual firm flaky white (cod or pollock) usually served. I suspect it was tilapia, in my opinion, no comparison in quality. We threw most of the fish away, and ate the sides. Very sad experience.
