For the first time since moving north I can say this is really good BBQ without the qualifying 'for New Jersey.' We had the 1 meat special platter today - 1 with brisket and 1 with burnt ends. The platter came with 2 sides plus cornbread and (today anyway) a drink. Both the brisket and the burnt ends were smokey, moist and plentiful in the serving, with a good balance of lean-to-fat for flavor. There's a wide range of sauce choices from around the BBQ world, and you may add them freely to your meat. We liked the house Big Pink the best. Sides we tried were the coleslaw (both of us had this and both decided it was not to our taste - it's of the mustardy-vinegary type rather than the creamy sweet), the cheesy taters, and the baked beans. I had expected tater tots for the 'taters' but I was pleased to find it was roasted cubes of potatoes with melted cheese and spices - very tasty while it was hot. The beans were a real winner, mixed with that wonderful brisket and great sauce. As with the meat, the sides were large servings, and the cornbread (moist and not overly sweet) was also a generous chunk. Both meals came to $21, and we had leftovers when we finished. We're told that picnic tables will be arriving soon (hope they will also have umbrellas cause that parking lot is wide open to the sun!) In the meantime, plan on eating in the car or back of the pickup, bring your own chairs, or just take it home. read more

We discovered Big Pink's BBQ one Saturday while visiting with our nephew who works at Pep Boys in Bridgewater. I googled BBQ near and this placed came up in my search. All the reviews were really good so I placed an order. We drove very fast up 287 North back to Parsippany because the smell in the car drove us nuts! We ordered the 3 meat platter with I think it was 3 sides and some cornbread. Holy crap the BBQ was spot on delicious! So much flavor my husband was moaning while eating the ribs! So far we have eaten take out from Big Pink's twice and each time was just as good as the first. It's always wonderful when you stumble upon a gem! We went there Today to check it out. Since I have moved from Kentucky and been around to Tennessee & Kansas, I have been really searching for a good barbecue place. So far nothing has impressed me - and I will say same for this place. We had their platter today With two meats. ordered for pulled pork & pork ribs.. It came with side of corn bread. We ordered two sides-- Mac & Cheese & cole slaw... I have to say that this is the best I had so far in New Jersey but still misses the mark.. They actually deserve 3.5 star but I rounded to 4 bc it's the best I had in NJ after trying 5 other places.. They have two picnic tables in back.. Had 7-8 sauces and I tried 3 and they were ok.. A cute food truck with delicious BBQ that will transport you from suburban Bridgewater to South Carolina. We got the Big Texan ($9), half rack of ribs ($12), and burnt ends ($4). Surprisingly, by the time we came at 1:30 pm on a Tuesday, pulled pork was already sold out. The burnt ends were mindblowingly good, well-seasoned, and melt-in-your-mouth. Though I tried all the sauces and can conclude the Asian Spice sauce was the best, there was no need for sauces at all because the meat was so flavorful. How such amazing and smokey meat could come from a food truck is beyond me. The Big Texan was basically burnt ends and brisket on an onion roll, but the onion roll diminished the flavors of the burnt ends and was pretty dry, so I'd recommend saving $5 and just ordering the burnt ends. The owner (who was also the chef and cashier) was so friendly, explained each menu item to us, told us his life story, and even gave us free cornbread while we were eating in the car. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of food here. When looking at the joint on yelp you just see a truck and it's like that's it? Well I can tell you the food here is excellent. I highly recommend the pulled pork here. I got the 2 meat platter with brisket and pulled pork but I would say the pulled pork was the best part. The service was quick and the meat was smoked perfectly. The sides were also very good, especially the coleslaw. To be honest if you drove by you might have just seen a truck and passed by but it was Yelp that got me to check it out. I encourage you to try it out, as it's a little hidden gem. read more

We used Big Pinks BBQ catering for 15 people and it was absolutely fantastic. They are very friendly to deal with. I highly recommend"THE BIG PIG" package came with pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket and ribs with 4 different sauces plus coleslaw, baked beans, Mac and cheese, cheesy potatoes (best I've ever had) and corn bread (also best I've ever had). Got the one meat platter. I ordered the pulled pork as the entree, which was incredibly juicy and flavorful. The house sauce that came with it was excellent. Also ordered cheesy tots on the side and baked beans. Unfortunately they forgot to put the beans in my order but the tots were good - potatoes weren't mushy and the cheese was just the right amount of gooey. The platter also came with a small slice of cornbread, which was moist and great for soaking up leftover sauce. Overall friendly service! Great place to grab a quick workday lunch. read more

Ok, I've had there food before but this was my first time eating there BBQ Ribs. They are fantastic. Meaty, Tender, Saucy. I've eaten there chili, sliders, and cornbread. And now that I've tried the ribs it's on to the brisket. They have never disappointed me. Now on the menu they added Smoked chicken wings. I'll order 5 dozen of those. This little truck is a hit. I got a pop up text message about this place new in my area. Today at work, we were deciding what do to for lunch, when I remembered the pop up. I ordered the 1 meat platter of burnt ends with coleslaw and fries as my sides. I'm not a big fry eater but even though my lunch sat ( not their fault, I eat when I can at work) the fries were a bit soggy and ended up being the best fries I have ever had!!! One coworker got the Mexican plate thing and I tried that and it was delicious at well. Others got the brisket sliders and another got the egg roll. All was fantastic! Can't wait to go back. Had a big get together planned for Sept. 3, decided to try Big Pink's due to the large number of positive reviews, and curiosity to try as they are located so close. Over 20 guests invited. Big Pink showed up EARLY to drop off order which included: 2 pans of Pulled Pork along with 2 different types of Signature sauces, 2 pans of their Mac & Cheese, 2 pans of Cheesy Potatoes, a pan of Burnt Ends (about 4 lbs.) a pan of cornbread, a LARGE pan of ribs (which had both Baby Back & St. Louis style, which has more meat), bags of rolls, a LARGE package of plastic flatware, paper plates & napkins. Let me just say, that along with their professional service, the food was AMAZING! Our guests were raving! Me and my mom included! Even days later, leftovers STILL amazing! The Mac & Cheese is NOT the usual, extremely delicious & cheesy. VERY CRAVABLE! Cheesy potatoes were fantastic! More of a creamy, cheese flavored sauce than actual cheese, but still AWESOME! Beware of food coma...... Had Marty Cater our daughters graduation party and my recommendation would be is to have your guests sign a waiver. With and endless supply of Brisket, Burnt Ends, Chicken, Pulled Pork, Brisket and Beans and well as Corn Bread my guests kept going back for more and ultimately turned into zombies wandering around my house. We just had my son's 1st birthday party on 7/6 and used Big Pinks for the food. Not only was the BBQ amazing but Marty was such a pleasure to work with! He knows so much about BBQ and it really shows in his food. My favorites were the Mac and cheese and brisket! He was so accommodating while working with us. On the day of the party he set everything up, came with the truck and was completely self-sufficient and even set the extras out before he left. I would highly recommend Big Pinks for any party! This is not the area where you expect to have high quality food trucks but thankfully Big Pink's is here to shake that up. A pretty extensive menu for a truck, with a lot of options for sides as well. The burnt ends are as good as I've ever had, and every sauce I tried (which was most of them) were fantastic. I work less than 10 minutes away and this will become a staple on my lunch hour. A few tables with umbrellas behind the truck to sit and eat, friendly staff, and some damn good meat. read more

I've traveled all over the country including the BBQ capital(Kansas City) and let me tell you, Big Pink's BBQ has surpassed my expectations. I have to admit it is in fact better than the BBQ I've had in Kansas. The staff is so friendly(especially Nazareth). They make the whole experience complete. It's defiantly a hidden gem.
