Seriously if I could give Joaquin 1,000 starts I would. We got so incredibly lucky and my daughter and I had an e-bike tour today with him. He and his son took the time to pick out the perfect size bikes and patiently taught us to ride. Then we were off for an incredible day. He taught us the history of the city, brought us to see so many of the special places in Carmel, places even some of the locals aren't aware of. I can't thank him enough for a very special day with my daughter.

Joaquin hooked us up proper. Great experience. Bikes were fast. Extra batteries let us get all the way to Big Sur from Monterey no problem. Be careful adding speed because the battery runs out a lot faster. 5 stars fasho.

We rented 4 Pedego e-bikes from Joaquin today and absolutely loved it. The 17 mile drive on e-bikes is the hands down best way to explore this stretch of coast. The bikes were in great shape and the pick up and drop off was quick. We highly recommend this excursion to anyone who visits the area for part of a day. We will be back and we will bring more friends next time!

Booked a morning tour with Ben, and it was fantastic! Right from the start, he taught us how to use the e-bike, adjusted seat levels and helmets. After a quick practice session we were off. All the stops along the way were gorgeous, and filled with so much history. From the "bubble" neighborhood ride and the scenic route, the change of scenery after every stop was refreshing and different. I truly recommend the bike tour for the family. Compared to some of the tours around the country, this was one of the most memorable.

Do you rent electric trikes for seniors?

Sorry. We sell electric trikes but we don’t rent them. Supply chain challenges have made electric…

We had a fantastic time with Cathy on our tour of Carmel by the Sea. They have a few different…read moretours so make sure you know which one you booked as all start from the same place and (from what I could tell...) same time. Cathy actually texted me the night before to introduce herself and provide a few instructions and tips. A key tip is bring water and a small back pack or fanny pack to put the bottle in. The bikes don't all have baskets and the baskets don't hold things very well. So you might also bring a small bungee cord to keep things "in the basket" should you get a bike with a basket. Check in was a breeze. The most "difficult" part of the whole tour was finding helmets that fit and sizing the bike seats There were 6 in our tour. We left right on time at 10 and got back at 12:45. We stopped multiple times for photo ops and to look at different properties. We even got to walk through the La Playa hotel which is a beautiful property! I loved seeing and learning about the Comstock homes and the fact that the homes in Carmel by the Sea do not have street addresses. (They will soon as a new reg has passed that every property now needs a proper address... Not just a name.) All in all, I had a wonderful time and enjoyed the tour very much. I don't ride bikes often anymore as an adult and this was the first time riding an E-Bike. The learning curve is easy once you know the difference between Eco, Sport and Turbo. I enjoyed it and it made the tour almost effortless. Highly recommend Mad Dogs! Note....the coffee shop is just up around the corner. You cannot access it directly from the bike shop.

Bet the amount of time I've spent on a bike all rolled together adds into years worth of time…read more Grew up on them in the city, was an NYC bike messenger before the internet killed them like it killed travel agents, weekend round trips from SF to top of Tam and back again later on which was brutal but perfect. So many hours and days on bikes. And then, after moving to a place where biking wasn't all that anymore and Oakland streetscapes turned into a screen from a super Mario game I gave the last bike away and didn't look back. But a few weekends ago we were all what shall we do why not head to Monterey and rent a bike and ride on that cool trail from downtown along the dunes to who knows where. And thanks to the friendly red asterisk searching tool we picked Workhorse as the provider of our two wheeled adventure and it was an excellent choice. Besides the bicycles themselves, which were tuned with good tires and brakes and perfect for the task, the entire experience was top shelf. Clean shop, many new and used bikes that I now long for again and need to move out of super Mario land so I can ride again. Professional helpful friendly staff. Their workbench in service shop area was so clean! Good mechanics take care of their tools. Price point for four ppl for 2 and a half hours less than a hundred clams and these days that feels like a super bargain. Fun for the entire family.

We rented 2 standard bikes for 1 hour and 20 minutes and only paid $32. From here, it is a short walk to the wharf which is where you can hop on the coastal trail ( flat). We cycled to Lover's Point and back and stopped a few times for photos and to admire the gorgeous coast. I recommend walking in the area of Aquarium due to massive lines but otherwise, you just need to enjoy the ride and be mindful of people walking the trail and other folks on bikes. If you want regular bikes, or are into fancy bikes and accessories, this is a great friendly and local business to support!
