Wow, I'm new to this area and found this place thru Yelp. I love Thai food, but it can be very different if not quite authentic. I was glad to see they allowed dine in with excellent Covid protocols. So this is our 2nd time here.there is plenty of "Chinese food" places to eat, but not aThai. We came around 1230 on a Thursday and were seated right away. It is a very clean place. But is dimly lit. The waiter was promt and took our drink order and we had egg rolls for app. They looked Moore like spring rolls. They were fresh and hot. Flavor was good and sauce that came with them was sweet. We ordered off the lunch menu. I had the pad Thai with chicken and wife had pad prik with chicken. The chicken was flavorless but the sauce made up for it. Vegetables were fresh. I enjoyed my meal and would come back. Oh and looking at the picks of the coconut cake we had to try. Cake was good but coconut was to much. I know I know its coconut cake should have coconut flavor. Just traveling thru and spotted this place on yelp as we approached Lake Jackson. What a gem! I was a little anxious about being so casually dressed but glad I stopped for lunch. I had the Thai dumplings and the Chicken Basil Leaves. Wonderful. Just enough heat and very fresh ingredients. You won't go wrong at this spot. The space is nicely appointed and would be good for a couples dinner. The service was excellent and the there was no delays even though there was a bit of a lunch crowd. Try it. The first time I ate at Big Thai, I had the Pad Thai which was delicious and great! The atmosphere and decor are very classy and on point, and the service was great. Unfortunately, I had takeout Drunken Noodles that did not turn out as well. The noodles were very dry and stuck together and it seemed like they hadn't been stir fried for long enough or the chef had not used enough water to soften the noodles. Then I had a few pieces of tofu that had gone bad. However, when I called the restaurant they were very receptive and offered a discount for next time. I eat hear at least once a week, great food compared to other Thai restaurant's. The food isn't as greasy and tastes fresh.

Favorite Restaurant in Lake Jackson!!! We frequent the place now never a bad run! Quality beyond the expectations. Elegant atmosphere. Might be a little to dim lit. But that the only critique I have. This place has been here for at least 3 years, and not once have we been here. I finally talked my husband into going and he was reluctant. We were greeted immediately when we walked in the door and seated. It's a small, quaint place with lots of ambiance. Really pretty. We were asked what we wanted to drink and saw a special tea they sell called Butterfly Tea. It's blue and if you order it sweetened it has honey. It's so good! We ordered the spring rolls and it came with some type of honey sauce (forgot to take picture); we also ordered the pot stickers (also forgot picture) which came with a coconut curry sauce that was to die for. We split the entree of chicken with mixed vegetables and white jasmine rice and it was more than enough for us both, and it was delicious. They used white meat chicken. My friends told me to make sure and have a piece of the coconut cake so we ordered it to go. It was so light, and tasty. By far, the best coconut cake I've ever had. The only thing I regret is not going to this place sooner!! read more

Best Thai food in Lake Jackson. Employees are very nice and accommodating. I get vegetable red curry (which comes with ALOT of vegetables) and veggie spring rolls. Spices are bomb and just an A1 place to eat. read more

Butterfly Pea Tea. Try It! Great curry and great for delivery. For eating in, it's date worthy but a bit quiet for a large family.

We ordered take-out and they had it ready to pickup in 10 minutes! I'm not a huge fan of Asian cuisine but I really enjoyed the spicy chicken. We had the crab wantons (I think called crab kisses) for an appetizer and these were also very good. The reason for 4 starts was the price. What a gem!! Who knew you could find great Thai food in Lake Jackson Texas? I've eaten a lot of Thai food all over the country and this was some of the best. I ordered the crab wontons (which I believe are called angel's wings on the menu) and the red curry. The wontons were perfect; with just the right mix of crab and cheese - very light and fluffy. And the curry was a perfectly balanced, velvety sauce with just the right amount of spice. Service and ambience were also great. Wonderful meal. If I lived in the area I would be here all the time. My husband and I went again last night. We both ordered one of the specials-he had crispy duck with basil sauce and I ordered the lamb chops with basil sauce...OOOOMMMMGGG they were both phenomenal !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Big Thai=Big Yum! We started with the housemade Chiang Mai Sausage and Dumplin apps-- delicious! Followed by Chicken Pad Thai and a generous cup of Tom Kha (I got tofu but regretted it after tasting the chicken in the Pad Thai). Again, extremely tasty. Having an experienced palate in Thai food, I have to say that Big Thai is amongst the best we've had. The atmosphere is in keeping with the food-- classy red walls, traditional Thai music playing in the background. Tables set with water glasses that had to be taken to the back to get filled (?), cloth napkins, pillows along the wall seating. Our only complaint is that our waiter seemed like he was in the weeds and flustered cuz he forgot to refill our teas, but for a place that's been open two months, it's excusable (this time). This place is really good, for the area it's in. The prices are very reasonable. My friend and I ate here for lunch, and, all together, we spent less than 20 bucks. Not bad, considering the portion sizes are pretty large, and the food is organic, to boot! At least, that's what it says on the front of the menu. This is the perfect healthy lunch spot! Their lunch specials include delicious broth-like sauces (I had ginger) and protein choices (I had chicken). The spices were perfect, the vegetables were interesting and fresh, and the protein was nicely prepared. I have only had the Massaman Curry twice. Interesting twist as it has cashews and avocado in it. I have only had take out at evenings. Weill go sometime and eat there at lunch. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owners recently moved down here from one of the Carolinas to open this place. They did previously own and operate a restaurant before. I look forward to trying more cuisines there. We needed a Thai restaurant. read more

I love their fried rice a taste that can't be matched. They are super pricey for an order of fried rice but they are worth it.

Fresh ingredients! I'm weird about my chicken, and was pleased to find it was white meat. Not sketchy, chewy, dark nonsense. I got the mixed veggie stir fry with chicken, spring rolls, and crab angels. All delicious! I ordered it as take-out, and it was finished super fast. Friendly staff. Food is great on some days and tasteless on others. Meat that they stir fry is bland and seems as though it was boiled and then added to dishes such as the pad Thai.
