I called to confirm specifics on the cake design, and submitted two weeks in advance. 24 hours before pickup time, I received a confirmation email/reminder to pick up the cake. 12 hours before pickup, at 9PM, I received a call saying they could not make the cake design, and cited a copy right issue. Wegmans had no response to me asking why I was informed so late, and no response to me that I previously called to confirm they could do this cake. Honestly, leaving me to try to fix my 6 year olds birthday cake for his party with less than 10 hours before the party should be zero stars...

You'll run into a little trouble with prepared foods if you're on a budget, though. At one point, their hot food bar was more pricey that Whole Foods. The dining section is clean and well-lighted. It's a decent place to meet up. Service is generally friendly here though I don't really need to seek out help, other than at the check-out counter or customer service. Usually though experiences have been positive. The major advantage is that Wegs is open until midnight, which is great for those that want a less crowded shopping experience (clutch during the pandemic).

When she was done I went and asked if they make sandwiches to order. The guy working said "no, we make all of our sandwiches fresh each morning and they're in the case by the door." Here's my first complaint: all the sandwiches were on little foam trays and covered in plastic (like a piece of steak would come on at a grocery store), I don't know if this is how they always do it, but it's a bad idea: all of the sandwiches were squished flat because of how tight the plastic was (and also probably because they stack them up). I'm no elitist, I'm not a fancy guy, but presentation is half the battle and these sandwiches were not appetizing. What's wrong with just rolling your subs in deli paper? I swallowed my pride and grabbed the least flattened turkey sub, along with a bag of chips and a drink. The cashier girl was polite and asked me if I wanted any condiments for the sub, which I did. When I got home and began eating my sub I discovered it already had mayonnaise on it, which I don't like. And it wasn't listed on the label with the ingredients. When I lived in Scituate I primarily shopped at the IGA & loved the small hometown feel of it. The convenience store is spacious, huge, and airy. Tons of sunlight, and lots of pre made lunch meals, snacks, and lots of other stuff too. Like a mini-CVS for a lack of better term. Gas prices are competitive with the other competition on Route 109 (however, this is the only gas station in this precinct of Medway), and the station is much more open and has many more pumps than the others (with diesel...). Lots of parking, brand new pavement, and tons of great bargains in the store. I don't think I've ever gotten a 24 pack of water for $2.99 at a convenience store (whenever you think of a "convenience store", don't you always think out outrageous prices!). Staff are friendly and they have convenient hours (5am-10pm) and the same great coffee (for 99 cents) you'll find at any Cumberland Farms location. Very satisfied and wish this place was like behind my house.... so convenient to pick up anything I ever needed! 5 stars for the new Medway Cumberland Farms. I make this a normal stop when driving by and will continue to do so.
