Absolutely the most ridiculous bar I have ever been to. The bartenders are rude. The security is even more rude. Dont go to the bathroom or you'll be kicked out! My friend went to the bathroom and they told her they need to leave. Same thing happened to me. I asked why I was being kicked out and was denied an answer. They made me wait outside in the below freezing temperature and refused to let me wait for my Uber inside. They then proceeded to ban me for standing in front of their sidewalk. My boyfriend and I came here for the New Year's eve bash. The venue is beautiful, clean bathrooms, cheap drinks, and good music. It was only $5 to get in, and the $1 pizza slices were pretty good! The only thing that I will say is the security at the door were incredibly rude. It was an absolute snowstorm and they kept yelling at people standing in the lobby waiting for their Ubers. Well, Uber (and Lyft) were busy and it took an hour and a half for my bf and I to even get a driver. They kicked everybody out right at 2 into the freezing snow! Some people didn't even have coats- and the security's response was "Well, then, don't come back. You knew it was winter." People were walking over to the parking garage across the street to stay warm and get out of the snow. Ordered wings to be delivered and they were very good. Delivery was surprisingly fast for a Friday night. My only complaint would be that they sell wings by the pound. I'm not a fan of that, I prefer to know I'm getting x amount of wings in my order. read more

I'm so glad Big bar is still open and operating during this pandemic, and how prompt they are and courteous. Especially the wait staff, and how friendly they are when they should be staying home safe with their families. Taylor really shone today as my waitress when I ordered wings and a gigantic pretzel. Her attitude, attention to detail, and perfect timing of service by checking on me was exactly what I needed after a long day of work. My drink was never empty, I never needed more ranch or honey mustard because she paid attention enough to see when I was getting low, and my check and box were brought in a timely manner. Definitely will be going back. Great atmosphere, great food, great price, and a fantastic experience. Definitely recommend it to any and all. Worst service ever. It took 30 minutes just to get a appetizer! And not only that it took about an hour to get our food. Very disappointing. Only one waiter was working and barely anybody was here and I still had to wait. Even the waiter came out and said that our food was taking long and she said it was because of online orders. Well serve the people physically in the restaurant first! Plus our orders were brought at different times. I ended up missing my activity I had planned for later. Will never come back. The food was not that good. The pizza steak I got fell apart so easily the food was cold when I got it. The steak wasn't even edible, it was hard and cold. The worst pizza steak I ever had. we went to this bar tonight and absolutely regret it. we waited 2 hours for food that came out wrong. They made pizza with banana peppers on it and it did NOT say it comes with that on that he menu. We ordered to food as is according to the menu. We said something to that how manager and he wouldneeds do anything about it. If your menu item comes with banana peppers, it should say so. not come out with it and say it is what it is. I would absolutely not recommend this place. The service was terrible. We were changed for food that we didn't order too. Do yourself a favor and run far and way from this place. read more

Great staff, great service, decent food. Very on point to refresh my beverages. My only negative thought is that how is this called BIG BAR and you don't even have a small bottle of vermouth. A nice Manhattan and a deep dish pizza is the way to go on a cold day. read more

my fiancé and I absolutely love the food from big bar, we order every cpl months & normally no issues at all. However, tonight when we ordered our food at 5:41pm, we were told about 45min it would be ready for pick up... ok great! My fiancé gets there around 6:30 and understands he may have to wait a few min.... there were also a few other people waiting on their orders as well. at 7:22pm, after waiting nearly an hour after getting there to pick the food up, it's finally ready My complaint isn't with the chef or the person who told us 45min. It's with whoever is understaffing their establishment! my fiancé said he could tell the employees were racing around trying to fill orders and get everything ready but there werent enough employees staffed to keep up with the orders. This is not acceptable and NO compensation was offered for the inconvenience. read more

So our office put in an order for delivery this morning at 11:00, 4 meals to be delivered at lunchtime and we were quoted a 45 minute wait. When lunch wasn't received by 12:30 (90 minutes after the order was placed) we called and were told that they got "slammed" and our order had not even be started yet. Well our lunch break is only til 1:00 so we can't wait any longer. Very disappointed with Big Bar and don't know that I'll ever be ordering there again. We certainly don't have time to order delivery from anywhere else and by the time we leave the office to grab fast food, our lunch break will be over by the time we get back to to the office with the food. Never had a problem with big bars food until today! My friends wings were clearly undercooked, sent them back and instead of them making new wings they put her wings in the fryer with the sauce and everything still on it and 2 minutes later they brought it back to her with no sauce because it was fried in the fryer. Now I understand it's almost closing time, but customer first. I've worked in food service and customer service enough to know that motto.. the workers attitudes were horrible and that's not the way to conduct good customer service. read more

Big bar is actually a very small bar in the downtown area of Erie, Pa. There was a situation where I was visiting this town where I was pulled aside and asked to leave for something I did not do. The bartenders chose to point me out of the crowd and I took the blame for "pouring two drinks on the bartender". This makes me think that the bartenders are unprofessional individuals as they did not look into to the situation and just pulled me out of the crowd. I am an adult who only arrived at the bar 30 min before this whole situation unfolded. We arrived 100% sober so we are very upset at this situation since nobody would question or look into this. If you for some reason happen to find yourself in Erie I'd highly discourage you from going to this bar to avoid this from happening to you! read more
