Been a few years since I tried them again. Disappointed before and disappointed again today. In all fairness my wife liked her beef sandwich that came with a sauce and onion slice. Waitress service4 was good even though when She asked me if our meals were OK I stated I was not pleased with my BBQ pork Dinner. Went nowhere. Managed to eat about half of it anyways. Meat was stated to be chopped on the menu, Came as a watery pulled pork with a peculiar smell. Now eight hours later no ill effects thank God. When the asked again at the register how the meal was I repeated my concerns. "You should have asked for something else. " was the reply. Wasn't once was enough? Wife happy. The service was great. The collards were good. The Brisket was unlike any I've ever had. Not in a good way. It had no smoke flavor at all. It was put on the plate in a large clump instead of slices. Maybe the pulled pork is ok but I'm not sure I'll be back to try it. read more

I was tired of chain BBQ places and I've always wanted to try this place. Boy I'm so glad I did. I had their PPGC AKA pulled pork grilled cheese, mac n cheese, potatoe salad and unsweetened ice tea. OMG the pork was tender not dried out the mac n cheese just the way I like it not soupy and cheddar cheese sharp pasta al dente. Last but not least their fantastic homemade potato salad. I hunted for BBQ in the area and found this place. Had decent reviews so why not. Checked out the online menu beforehand and was excited about the beef ribs. Small place and it was slightly busy. The first thing I found out was that they didn't have the beef ribs...or any ribs available...at a BBQ joint??!!??!!??!! Seriously? On a Saturday afternoon. So I pivoted to a sandwich and was told the didn't have buns and it had the be served on garlic bread. Um...ok... fortunately the pork and brisket was good, as were the fried okra. Didn't care for the collard greens. Service as fine also. All in all, it was ok at best. read more

We get to Spring Hill to see family once or twice a year and we always manage to get to Bigun's. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the hash is legit (as is the rest of the menu) and the prices are spot on. It's nothing fancy but you couldn't ask for a better diner breakfast. read more

The PPGC sandwich was fantastic the pork was tender not dry. Their side dishes are homemade. The mac n cheese was creamy cheesy the pasta cooked perfectly. OMG the potato salad so delicious and thank goodness the potatoes weren't mushy. Thank goodness I tried them because biguns is the only bbq I will want to eat. Well I grew up here and never realized this place was here until I moved back. So we decided to try it today and in my opinion was just mediocre. I have eaten at a lot of bbq places all over and this one is middle of the road. We tried the turkey and pork sandwich platters with fries, Mac and cheese, and potato salad. All was good but not impressive. The pork was kinda fatty and seasoning was ok. Turkey was somewhat bland. On the up side of the sandwiches was the bun on the turkey was soft and tasty. The garlic bread on the pork was the best thing I ate. As far as the sides the Mac and cheese was run of the mill restaurant quality nothing to right home about. Potato salad and fries were good. Went here for breakfast for first time and it was great! I asked for eggs scrambled soft and they made them perfect!!! I was so happy. Sometimes when you go to kitchens the food all tastes the same, like that greasy taste and that was NOT the case here. The staff here is so sweet as well. We used to love going here. The last few times we have gone the food quality is very low and it tastes that way too. They finally opened for dinner again on Fridays so we thought we would give it a try. The food just isn't good and you are paying too price for low quality food. Tons of activity on the flat top! I opted for a man-sized meal on this visit. I'd been chopping down an old oak tree, using a chainsaw and a tractor, so I was feeling pretty 'macho'(Love that old word!). Back to the food. Danielle set before me a plate of ribs that even Fred Flintstone would envy! They were quite large, with a whole lot of juicy-looking meat and a trickle of juice running down off of them. I could see the unmistakable signature of a talented Pit Boss, in what's known as the Smoke Ring. It's that wonderful reddish-pink layer just under the crunchy crusty outer bark. A sure sign of awesome tastes to come! These ribs were OUT OF THIS WORLD! Fall off the bone tender, so full of flavor and oh so good. Oh yeah. I seem to remember along with the ribs, I had a choice of two sides. I got a salad and some collard greens. They played very well together in this fork and fingers fiesta! Bottom line. Someone the worst BBQ I've had. The brisket on my sandwich was at least 50% fat, and I don't mean fatty which with brisket can be a good thing but just fat. Also, the meat was very dry to the point where it crumbled when I tried to separate the fat. The "baked beans" tasted like they were straight out of a can of pork & beans. My wife ordered the loaded bbq Fri e s, which the cheese had gone cold by yhe time they got to the table. I was really looking forward to this place, but never again. Well, I'd like to start off saying that the food was OK I had the 5 piece ribs they wasn't falling off the bones like some of the other review said most of the waitresses were nice and polite but the one that took my order kind of rude to me because of my service dog. Trying to tell me that he could not be in his bag on my lap (he 11 lbs) that he need to be in another chair or on the floor. That it was a health code violation for him to be in my lap. Obviously she needs to be re-educated. I would say her name, but she was the only one that did not have a name tag on her all the other waitresses did. So I will put nicely as I can the chunky Mexican looking girl. I looked at her and told her politely please don't ruin this day for me because she really don't know what she's talking about but She continued. I put his service dog card on the table so she could see that he was a service dog. After that she didn't say nothing else maybe she didn't believe he was a service dog at first but by then I was already feeling unwelcome. Needless to say, I probably won't come back or recommend this place to anyone just because of her. Went yesterday for breakfast but was totally disappointed? The service was very slow and the waitress wasn't the best either. We waited 10 minutes after being seated for our order to be taken. Then 20 minutes later the waitress comes back saying they were out of pancakes. So we asked if they had waffles and she had to go back to find out. I would think that if I had to tell a customer that we were out of something I would have already checked to see what alternatives we had. Anyway it then took another 10 minutes to get our food. We've been visiting the restaurant for years and there's been a lot of changes to the restaurant since the new owner took over and they're not good. The recipe for the sides have changed. The Coleslaw is no longer finely chopped, purple cabbage has been added, and it's no longer sweet. The baked beans taste like they've been dumped out of a can and they're mushy. There's a fine line between being too soft and too firm. These were definitely too soft. The brisket had no real flavor and the ribs were a bit tough. They also took away the complimentary dessert that they used to provide. It was a nice, small treat that most people enjoyed. We frequently visit for breakfast and for 3 weeks in a row they didn't have blueberries to make blueberry pancakes. The one good thing I can say is that she did keep some of the same waitresses and they're great. I feel for them because they get the brunt of everyone being upset over the changes when they are outside of their control. read more

We were excited to check out this place because of the great reviews. I LOVE BBQ. I ordered the 2 meat combo plate and chose the ribs and beef brisket along with beans and coleslaw. The sides were excellent. The BBQ had good flavor in spots but both my ribs and brisket had sections that were overcooked to the point of being difficult to chew. If not overcooked, the ribs could have been excellent. They were large and meaty. My husband isn't as fond of BBQ so he selected the Rueben sandwich platter. He loved his sides as well (fries and mac/cheese) but his sandwich was extremely salty. He likes a lot of salt so it must have been bad for him to comment. The place was very busy and food on other plates looked good. The price is very reasonable. We may try it again to make sure it wasn't just a bad night as it is convenient to our new home. read more

Finally made it there today with wife and family. Ordered the dual pork sandwhich. Menu says bun is grilled? Has pulled pork and brisket. Brisket was very dry, cold, tuff. Pushed it to the side. Drove an hour just to come here. Passed many places along the way. First time here and wow! So good! Went for 5 ribs thinking they would be small yet they are big and 3 is plenty. What a meal! I had the Philly Cheesesteak from here and it was very cheap and good! Fries were also good! Main problem is that they stop serving breakfast at 11am which isn't a huge complaint but I know plenty of other restaurants with similar hours that serve breakfast until closing.
