Wife got the sampler with ribs, chopped pork,and brisket. Ribs were tough, pork was OK, brisket was dry. I ordered turkey sandwich and it was the worst I've ever had. I've never had so much fat on a turkey sandwich and it also had lots of tough skin. Bad. Sides of baked beans were good. They give you free dessert, but bread pudding was heavy dry crust and the vanilla pudding had no flavor. read more

After driving up from Miami for a stay at the near by Olive Grove, I have to say this is some of the best Barbeque I have ever had. I had the BBQ sampler with the brisket, 1/4 chicken, and ribs. Absolutely delicious. The nice smoke ring and crust on each piece of meat is clearly visible and the taste is 100%. You can tell that the most important ingredient goes into preparing and serving this food. That ingredient is LOVE, the most necessary ingredient for the culinary industry. Not at all a classy joint, but that isn't why you will go there. The chopped pork was excellent, as was the okra. Sweet tea with lemon is the bomb. I have been going here since 1990 when it first opened and the food has always been great. The service is terrific and the girls all treat you like family. I love the Souther Bennie, it is muffet with a sausage pattie and egg and cover with sausage gravy and you get two and it is the best around. read more

We ordered our food and it probably took like 15 mins to be brought to the table. My daughter loved her kid Mickey "Pan"Cake while I had eggs, sausage/bacon, house fries and toast, and my son had their sausage egg biscuit smothered in gravy sauce. The portions are huge. Great hidden gem, husband and wife owners make sure you have just what you want . We ordered pulled pork & ribs combo and bbq chicken. I ordered and we sat outside as we had a small dog. The owner Mike immediately brought out an umbrella and set it up for us. They then brought out the food and told us everything is made fresh daily and asked if we needed anything else. The chicken was a huge breast and wing that pulled off the bone easily. Sides were great with plenty of fries and sweet potato waffle fries. The baked beans were my favorite with pulled meat and various beans in a thick sauce. Also very good was the mac and cheese. We had plenty to take home for another meal. read more

Some of the most tender BBQ Pork I have had. Try the BBQ Pork Tacos - they were excellent. Pork, Cole Slaw and shredded cheese in a flour tortilla. Since i forgot to make a review of this place a few days ago i will do it now. It has the feel of an old country restaurant. Food was plentiful and good for a decent price. I like this place once in a while. All I can say is, do not get the hamburger. It was worse than MCDonalds. I could only taste the seasoning. It had the texture of a burger that had an anvil placed on top of it while it cooked on the flat top. Shouldn't a BBQ place flame grill their burgers? Daily specials are usually very good. I have been trying to get over here for about a month now but my schedule has never lined up with their hours during the week. I finally got to go tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. We walked in at 7 pm just one hour before they close. There was only one tabletop open. The waitress greeted us promptly and warmly. It feels like a real homey type place. We browsed the menu, she made suggestions and I chose a small pork sandwich with the sweet potato waffle chips (which are really fries) and regular French fries. My dinner date got a chop steak medium well with gravy and baked beans with mash and gravy. The food was out in under 15 minutes and it was really good. The "small" pork sandwich was large and filling the French fries weren't all that good but the sweet potato fries were great. The only reason I won't rate a 5 star is the chop steak was very well done and a little tough and the regular French fries were bland no salt even and they were really mushy (I don't like mushy fries) but our waitress and the rest of the staff were so nice I will definitely go back for another pork sandwich and I'd love to try out the breakfast menu. read more

I live in Brookridge and thought it was so nice to have a little family restauant so close to home. I went there with two friends ALL three of us got sick. I rarely crave BBQ but when I do I'm looking for some good ole smokey flavor, spicy sauce and some notable sides to go along. I left feeling a little underwhelmed but I wasn't disappointed. Service gets 5 stars for sure! All three if the girls were working as a team, smiling, and really taking great care of all of their guests. I ordered from the lunch specials (written on Brown paper bags and brought to the table, so cute) which included chopped pork sandwich and one side. The sandwich arrived with a small dab of sauce which was great for me becasue I enjoy my bbq dry so I can customize it myself. The sandwich was a tad greasy. The sauces on the table were too sweet for me. One was their house sweet sauce the other was their version of Carolina sauce..again, too sweet. I asked for hot bbq sauce and I really enjoyed it. It was a little thick for my liking but I found myself loving it more and more with each bite! The fries were, well..Fries. No seasoning but great dipped in the hot bbq sauce. I was full as a tick (that's a Georgia term lol) but was informed I got banana pudding with my lunch special. Who could resist? It was just pudding, no nilla wafers or anything special. I do not generally think of BBQ joints for breakfast but Biguns is no average BBQ joint. Breakfast was awesome! Highly recommend the benny- sausage Gravy covering eggs, sausage patty and Biscuit. Being lazy, we decided to order a takeout meal and a BBQ joint seemed to be a good idea. Good thing it was Friday because that is the only evening they are open. We ordered Meatloaf with Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes and the Pork Ribs with Fries and Baked Beans. Both meals had corn bread. They said it would be ready in 10 minutes so it's a good thing I only live 12 minutes away. The order was up when I got there and was piping hot when I got it home. All portions were generous. The meatloaf ("Homemade Family Recipe"), while good, was on the bland side. The pork ribs did fall off the bone as advertised and did have a tasty sauce, but they were extremely fatty and had a very tough crust (reheated?). The sides were all very good and the corn bread was delicious. After several referrals and seeing great reviews, I guess we were expecting more than they delivered. If this were a chain, they wouldn't see me again, but being a local business, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and give them another shot. Maybe it was just been a bad day. read more
