First time coming and let me just say you cannot judge a book by its cover! Outside this place looks... not very good I have to say BUT the food that comes out it fresh and mm mm good. When you walk in it's a small diner that's seen its days. There were 2 girls playing behind the counter and some locals who were not looking very friendly so we took out seating outside. I was a bit confused about what was happening in the from of the outside area; a desk looking set up, tv and hammock and a couch. That's none of my business though, onto the food So I got the basic turkey sandwich which was NOT on the inline menu nor were the fried basket options. The fries were fried well, nice and crispy. We were passing through on a mini vacation and found this place on yelp. 5 start ratings and don't judge a book by its cover. That means local and our kinda place. Hubby and I got the wings. Cooked perfectly. If you like them wet, ask for extra sauce. Granddaughter got the chicken Caesar asked and said it was fine if the best chicken she has ever had. When I say, "I feel like having a burger" this is exactly what I have in mind. Wow. Delicious! Cooked to perfection. The buns were also cooked just right! The bacon was crispy but not over done. I've driven by this place so many times and this week my husband decided we needed to stop for dinner. The burgers were highly recommended on Yelp and that's what my husband ordered. So very glad we stopped in. It is a new local favorite for us! When we were there on Friday afternoon, between lunch and dinner, there was plenty of parking right in front. My bacon cheeseburger and fries were *perfect* and my wife loved her fried shrimp and french fries, too! The service was great. We love that it feels very much like the best "home town" restaurants I've lucked into visiting around the country: you feel as if you're enjoying a home-cooked meal with the convenience of sitting at the counter (or booth) and, if they're not too busy, enjoying conversation with the folks who are taking care of you. What a hidden gem. We scrolled through restaurants on our nav and decided to check out The Peeple Company. We were not disappointed. The two guys who own and run the restaurant were friendly and accommodating. I always like to try out a Cuban, and this Cuban did not disappoint. The fries were perfectly fried and seasoned. My husband loved his lemon pepper fish. It came with "Peeple sauce," which was amazing. The sweet tea was some of the best I've ever had. We ate here for the first time tonight. We have been wanting to try this place out as the reviews are great and a co-worker also told us it was very good as well. Well I am here to tell you the reviews did not lie! We went early and were the first ones there. We were greeted by a gentlemen who told us to sit anywhere. We ordered sweet tea to drink and it was some of the best sweet tea I have ever had! For dinner my husband ordered a Philly cheesesteak with onion rings and I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The Philly was loaded with meat and cheese and the burger was thick and juicy. Overall the food was really really good! The atmosphere is diner like and has a very relaxed feel to it. They had music playing that was "soulful" and just fun to listen to. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. read more

I haven't been here since kids were in little league. Seen the reviews and tried it. Got a Cuban and fries. Staff is friendly and the food was great. I will be going back soon. Interesting restaurant. Initial impression is an enclosed gazebo but completely neat and clean inside. Had the burger which was absolutely superior. Well seasoned, apparently grilled onions a flat top, the burger managed to be juicy without being greasy. It was cooked exactly as ordered ( medium). This place is adorable. The gentleman who are running the place are very nice and accommodating. I believe this used to be a barbecue place, until it opened into this sandwich shop. There are other things on the menu like salads and fish, but we chose the lunch options. I had the pressed turkey sub and it was delicious. My friend had a cheeseburger wrap and quite honestly. I'll probably choose that the next time I come in because it looks so good. It is a very casual restaurant with some outdoor seating, so you do have your choice of either indoor or out. This is the BEST burger I have had in I don't know how long! I found this place from Yelp and decided to try because of the reviews of the "best burger" and boy am I glad I did! There were not many customers. Only two other tables. Place is a cute place and was nice and clean. The person who gave us our menus and drinks we did not see after that. There was no waitstaff. The man that was doing the cooking came and took our order, cooked the food, delivered it and came back to check how everything was. Due to him doing everything, it was a little slow. I'm not sure if this is the norm there, so I wouldn't go if I was in a rush. But it was definitely well worth the wait, and the service was good and friendly! Good music playing so we didn't really mind the wait too much. The burger was definitely a fresh patty, well seasoned, a perfect thickness for a burger, and cooked medium just like I ordered. It was absolutely delicious with the perfect amount of BBQ sauce and cheese, and tasty bacon! The fries were nice and crisp, just how I like them. You could tell the oil was clean and the right temp. My boyfriend had the shrimp tacos which were also delicious. The shrimp was cooked perfectly as well, not overcooked like most places I've gotten shrimp tacos from. We will definitely return to this great find! The question will be...will I try some of the other tasty looking items on the menu, or will I always gravitate to that amazing burger? I have to leave 2 stars because I have came here everyday of the week at different hours and these guys are never open. Seems like a possible money washing operation or something because they claim these specific hours but their sign is in shambles and their flags are all ripped up and needs thrown away....
