Bigun's Barbecue! They have many friendly employees, and the service is very prompt. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They have coke and Pepsi beverages. They have so many sides! I enjoyed the Half Rack of Ribs with Fried Okra. I do think they should use more reusable plates and utensils instead of all styrofoam that will stay in a landfill. This is one of mine and my husband's favorite bbq spots (even though we aren't close by). It always seems crowded/popular when we go. The food and service are great. There is some outdoor seating that is covered. They have some canned goods for sale also (pickles, jellies etc). As a usual, fellow yelpers directed me to try this new place after my major hiking trip near by mountain trail. It was a great choice indeed. Place was located off major hwy for local area. It seems it used to a chevron gas station. Restaurant had very spacious parking lot along with a lot of outside picnic tables to dine. Inside had plenty of tables as well. It was busy for Friday after lunch hour, before dinner time. You walk up to order, staff will hand you cup for self service drink and a plastic number stand for you to place on the table of your choice. Staff then will find you to bring your food. We ordered half lack of ribs(I have never seen any rib had that much meat), brisket, pulled pork, collard green(too salty and just ok), corn bread, mac n cheese(very good), fries(whatever kind of potato it was, it was great). All of their BBQ sauces were very good, especially hot and nuff hot(bought bottles for home as well). We took our orders back to the cabin since we had our fur babies patiently waiting for us. I have wanted to stop here for years but have always been in a hurry. I finally decided to stop Saturday on my way back from Acworth and was pleasantly surprised that they had a drive through for ordering ! I ordered one pound of brisket, fried okra, green beans and a Diet Coke. I pulled around to pick up and within 5 minutes I was on the road again. I ordered the hot BBQ sauce on the side. Couldn't wait to eat the okra before I got home and let me tell you it was delish. Got home and ate some brisket and the green beans it melts in your mouth! Highly recommended. I have had two more meals with the brisket and even left over and reheated it is excellent the hot BBQ sauce is perfect as well. If you want some excellent brisket this is where you need to go! I particularly like their fried okra. It reminds me of the fried okra my mom makes. Also, their cornbread... Yes! This is the type of cornbread that I love. Not too sweet. Similar to the kind my family made when I was growing up. Some places seem to serve what I would call "corncake" because it's so sweet. So you find yourself in Talking Rock, Ga and you're getting hungry, well take my advise and stop in and visit the friendly staff at Bigun's BBQ. There are several reasons you might want to stop here, one is there aren't really any other choices in this small town with an estimated population of 64 and the other reason is there are simply no other choices for miles. Okay one could assume this is a tourist trap that keeps its doors open by preying on people passing through this beautiful stretch of highway, that's not the case at all, although they take full advantage of the opportunity to market their brands of BBQ Sauces, Jams, Jellies, Syrups, Honey and a few other unique items I can't put into any particular category this place could stand on its own with the BBQ and other choices offered here. We decided to try a smorgasbord of their BBQ offerings listed on their giant menu board behind the counter. The left side is the BBQ choices the right is where you'll find everything else - Smoked Turkey - Moist, flavorful but on overly smoky - Beef Brisket - Very tender, slight bark which carries the smokey flavors - Pork Ribs - On the smaller side but full of flavor and very tender - Smoked Sausage - Well don't expect the coarsely ground sausage you may be used to this is not the case here it's smoked Kielbasa not bad by any means but not what I was hoping for. - Pole Bean - These wide body wax beans are referred to a green beans but that's not the case although they are cooked tender southern style so you may find them ok I don't really like these beans no reflection on Bigun's they may be the best ever for what they are. - French Fries - Not all fries are created equal no gourmet fries here but these were pretty good for what they are. - Garlic Toast- Texas Toast type bread grilled nicely with a hint of garlic butter and not greasy actually a little crispy I liked it. - BBQ Sauces - The hot is hot trust me as much as I like hot and spicy sauces this one will light you up so I suggest mixing it with your next favorite choice - the sauce are quite good. - Pricing - Extremely fair which was good to see since there isn't any competition near by. Yes I'd do this again, no I didn't buy a tee shirt or a jar of their prize winning canning offerings, but it's a solid choice in a place where there aren't any other choices. read more

Got a littlun platter with 2 meats (ribs and pork) and 2 sides (slaw and okra) with toast for $10.99 (a bargain where I come from!). The sides were awesome! Crispy and hot okra, the slaw was nice. Ribs were meaty with a pleasant smoke flavour. Pork was cooked perfectly but I had to knock the rating down a bit as it was dry. Nothing their sauces couldn't fix though. I am so thankful we found this gem. Their food was pretty amazing too. The regular bbq sauce is absolutely delicious as well as the mustard sauce.
