Neither tried to up sell me into anything, plus they helped me find a product in their website that was not available at the store. This store is hit or miss. Even before COVID. Some days it's impossible to get anyone to help even when there is no one else in the store. They simple won't look up. Other days they can be very helpful. Same goes for phone inquiries. The owner of the store has always been moody. There is a younger employee, I believe his name is Chris, who is very helpful. Lastly he tried selling me an inner tube for $60 and when I looked it up the same tube online I found it for $10... This was a terrible experience. The owner was incredibly dishonest, rude and unreasonable. I wish that you could see the manner in which this man conducted himself. It would make for good reality television. It took every ounce of patience and diplomacy that I had in me to not make the situation worse. Please note that other staff members that I met were polite. Every now and then there is a business that makes you believe that true quality customer service still exist! Bike Masters has proved to me that every time I have come to this establishment. The men that work there are true and honest gentlemen (Thank you Rafa!) and never try to up-sell you. Their prices are reasonable and their service department is quick and reliable. Today I went to change my bike brakes, upon arriving they took my bike in immediately. I expressed additional concerns about the conditions of my tires and instead of trying to take advantage of me and saying I needed tires they inspected my tires closely and told me I still had some use left on them. I was blown away by their honesty. This wasn't the first time I had such a positive experience here. They have made loyal customers with my family and I for life! I feel obligated to share my HORRIBLE experience with this bike shop. First, I take a bike in for simple handlebar length cutting. When I pick up the bike, the mechanic owner has first, cut a full inch more on the handlebars than requested. Second, breaks the lever on my brake handle and then tries to tell me it was my fault for overtightnening. Third, over tightens my stem so that it's almost impossible to loosen. Fourth, after being without a functioning bike for a week, refuses to do the repair the same day the replacement part arrives...and then proceeds to YELL at me in the middle of the store that this was all my fault and not to come back. Mind you this is after I have been to the store 2-3 times , dropped several hundred $$ in purchases, always tipped the mechanic, and had nothing but understanding and patience when they accidentally damaged my brakes. Finally, though I'm far from a raging feminist, I can't but suspect that they felt threatened by a bike-knowledgeable female and doubt they would have treated a man the same way. Thankfully, I have choices on where I take my business and who I recommend or in this case dissuade, my many biking friends to do business. Zero stars, and would give a negative rating if it was an option. If you value your bicycle, take it elsewhere for service!!!!! read more

I went to have an inner tube replaced on my sons bike along with the breaks that needed adjustment. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted and the manager was on the ball. He asked what we needed and quickly took care of us. The cost of the inner tube and brake servce was $17.00. I was very happy with everything. read more

I would give them 4.5 stars if possible. The only reason that they are not a 5 is that they don't have a large inventory of mountain bike parts at this time. They have had no issue ordering parts for me when necessary. I ride the trails on the weekends and have my bike as well as my wife's serviced there, and the guys are great. read more

i'm a fan alright. i needed some new inner tubes for my tires. i usually go to target or walmart to get the cheapest tube possible, but i had a hard time finding the right size (700x38c). i even went to sports authority but no luck. i'm a little skeptical of bike shops. i always feel like they're going to tell you that you don't know what you're talking about and try to sell you on some big expensive thing. not this place though. i came in on a weekday around 11am and it was totally empty, no waiting. a guy came out from the back to attend me, our conversation went something like this: him: can i help you? me: hi, i need two tubes please. him: what size? me: 700x38c him: what valve? me: schrader valve, please. the guy went to the back and two seconds later he came back with the exact tubes i needed. the price? $11 for two tubes! i would expect to pay more at a bike shop since the quality of the products are usually a bit better and you can get exactly what you want/need. buuuut, that is the same price they charge at walmart/target for those crappy schwinn or bell generic brand tubes. they weren't those fancy slime-filled tubes that plug up flat tires, but in my experience those suck and are more trouble than they're worth. i haven't bought anything else here, nor have i taken my bike in to get fixed ever but i like the vibe of this place and i will update this review once i have more experiences here. i've heard from friends that repairs are very reasonably priced. read more

I've been in or around cycling for over 30 years. Have been to practically every bikeshop in Miami. But from the first time I walked into BikeMasters, it felt like family. The treat nicely and with respect, and even joke around a little. The bottom line is that they are the best bicycle mechanics in all of Miami. Eliaser having been a competitive cyclist in Cuba on their national team, he and his brother know how to take care of your bike like if you were Lance Armstrong, fine tuned. I was recommended to this place by one of the riders that rides around the miccosukee golf course. This has got to be one the best bike shops in Miami. This is a family owned business. They are very helpful and patient. They did a tune up to my bicycle. Definitely the cheapest tune up i've ever had done to the bike. I also talked to Robert about a possible upgrade. He was excellent and very informative. If you visit don't leave without trying Robert's colada. It's awesome. One thing I just wished was better is the directions to the store. In their site, www.bikemastersmiami.com, the map shows the bike store a block down, when in reality it is in the shopping center. Though i think that is more google's fault than theirs. read more

Just 2 weeks ago I purchased my first Road bike here from Bikemasters, a Masi Alare, after having shopped around all the other stores in the Coral Gables, South dade area. I went into another big name Bike store and I must have been invisible, no one approached me or asked me if I needed help. I was willing, ready, and able to buy, and no one even bothered to say hello. I went to Bikemasters where I was greeted by Ezequiel and Eliecer and Robert.. They made me feel at home, showed me all my options, set me up for a test ride on the back lot. I went back 3 times before making the purchase. I got a great deal on the road bike, trunk rack, helmet,etc, all the accesories. The service and friendly atmosphere is a rare find. They even offered me Cuban coffee. I have since gone back for some other items I needed and recommended it to a relative who needed his bike serviced. He went in last Saturday and was greeted in a friendly manner, seviced his bike on the spot. He came away as impressed as I was. Highly recommend this bike shop in the Kendall area to anyone. read more

Out of all the bike shops near Kendall and South Miami this is probably the best. The shop is not huge but has a great inventory. The staff is friendly and not pushy. Prices seem pretty good. In comparison Bike Tech sucks!!! Way overpriced and the staff is down right worthless. You could walk around the shop for an hour without anybody asking if you needed help. read more

I'm new to cycling, and I recently bought a road bike and some accessories here since they are close to my house. I can tell you that Robert is a great guy who will do his best to help you. Shortly after purchasing the bike I had a minor problem with my tire tubes, but this was taken care of at no charge and with no questions asked, and the problem has not reoccurred since then. It's great to have a local shop in the neighborhood that will go the extra mile to take care of their customers.
