Fantastic!! I went with my partner and we had an incredible time. The employee was super chill and said we didn't have to return the bikes on time we could use them for a half hour over our scheduled time. There are guide maps for routes to go on and they provide helmets and other safety equipment. For a small amount ($5 extra dollars) we could upgrade to the electric bikes. I would recommend the electric ones it make it so much easier to pedal and you can view more sites in less time. This would be great for families and couples! read more

Just a few blocks from the beach, Bike and Roll let us rent bikes for one hour to explore. They have kid bikes and different bikes for adults. We rented two city cruisers and a bike for our eight-year-old daughter for an hour. Our total was just over $50. Helmets are free to borrow and they even gave us ponchos in case it rained. Such a great experience -- especially thanks to Adam! We did the Segway tour with Bike & Roll Miami, and our guide Adam was truly wonderful. My mom is 70 and had never been on a Segway, and while she never quite got fully comfortable, Adam was endlessly patient, calm, and reassuring the entire time. He never rushed her, never made her feel embarrassed, and genuinely helped her enjoy the experience at her own pace. He checked in constantly, gave clear guidance, and made the whole tour feel safe and fun. It ended up being one of our favorite things we did in Miami simply because of how well he took care of us. Still awaiting a response for a refund after 1 week. Received a $100 citation for illegally riding an electric bike near the beach. The shop was required by law to notify people of the laws and failed to do so. Unfortunate circumstance ended the bike ride early. Would expect better response when the company is at fault. I have to a admit, I was not sure about this one. My Sister set this up for a 1 hr tour of South Beach and I decided to roll with it(literally). i had all these perceptions about falling and not being able to stay upright. We had the BEST tour guide and segway teacher in Gabrielle. He was patient and gave us instructions before the tour and made sure we our were comfortable. Once i got out of my head, it was very intuitive. if you turn the handle to the right,it will go right, push forward, it will go forward and sit back and it will stop. We were zipping through the streets of South Beach in no time. I love the art deco style of South Beach and Gabrielle gave us all the background information -how South Beach came to be and some hidden figures that we did not know played large part in how it all happened. Monty was an excellent tour guide and not only rolled us through the top 10 things to see in Miami Beach, he also shared a wealth of knowledge at each stop. The perfect overview of the area. Did the art deco bike tour. It started 15 minutes late, ended 30 minutes early, and contained absolutely zero information on art deco. What is art deco? Why is it important to Miami Beach? One person in our group started having an anxiety attack and he immediately assisted her and made her feel safe. He was amazing and kept us entertained. We will most definitely be back. Bike and Roll was a great exoerience! Used a Groupon that was gifted to me for the sunrise or sunset Segway tour. We chose sunset as we were told those were a bit cooler. Reading the Groupon, the sunrise yours came with a shot of espresso? Regardless, our experience was a lot of fun! Sean was our tour guide, who told us he had been giving tours for over 11 years. He was fun, knowledgeable of the architecture and history. The person who worked the register, I didn't get his name, was friendly and helpful and even offered to hold my bag behind the register during the tour. Before the tour starts, they have each person test out a Segway and they "train" you to make sure you are comfortable. But to be honest, everyone seemed a bit nervous until we hit the streets. Then I think everyone got the hang of it really quickly. During the tour, a Segway experienced some technical issues and we had to wait for a new one to be brought over. Sean apologized profusely but it gave the group some time to ride around an open park that allowed Segways on premise. He still finished the tour which extended it a bit but everyone was totally okay with it. When we arrived back to the location, Sean apologized profusely about the delay and gave everyone a choice of drink from the cooler. It was a nice gesture on his part. We had a really great time on the Segways and would recommend it if you want a fun time rolling down the streets of Miami! read more

It's been about 6 weeks since we did the Art Deco tour on Segways so some of the details are fuzzy (I think our guide was Sean, I think we were out for 3 hours...) but what's not fuzzy is that we had a BLAST and really enjoyed the whole experience. I know our guide was pretty nervous about my comfort on the Segway as I really struggled while we "trained" but once we got out on the road it was EASY and just a whole lot of fun. Sean definitely gave us good information about the many Art Deco buildings but this was also a South Beach tour, and that was just fine. We enjoyed our time and would definitely do this again when we return to South Beach. And maybe ride Segways in another city, too, now that we're such experts : ) read more

We rented comfort bikes which are decent and did the job, especially since there were no hills to climb -- we rode to the lighthouse on Key Biscayne. The staff was friendly and helpful but I was very annoyed that they tacked on a "service charge" of 15% without asking me. When I complained, they said that it was for the cost of running of the store and a gratuity (their explanations were were vague). I would have been happy to tip a few bucks but that should be up to me; I don't like being charged almost $16 extra without being told about it (they only told me when I questioned the charge). So, be aware when you look at the prices that there's a 15% extra charge in your future. read more

I called back in late March to confirm. I spoke to Willie again. He put me on hold for over five to ten minutes. Never came back on the line. I called again. He said very busy so I said I'll call back. I called back 45 minutes later. I spoke to Mason. He checked the online reservation system. My name wasn't in there for the date and time I requested. Today we took the Segway tour. It was just so so. The sights were not memorable and there were no wow moments. Basically a Segway ride with very few highlights. My Segway sucked. It was not calibrated correctly. And beware - not a good tour if you've not had Segway experience. Nil on technique and safety. Gigi did the best she could given the location. I'm a local, with a new bride from out of state, so we've been doing the tourist thing and found Bike and Roll on Groupon. Traffic had us behind schedule, but we called ahead and the store was totally accommodating. Got there for the Segway tour and received great instructions, even though it takes a bit of an adjustment to get used to the balance, if it's your first time. Our tour guide was Mason- he had a level of patience that I can only hope to acquire one day! For growing up in Miami, I was shocked at how much I learned and was able to see for the first time. There's nothing like seeing Miami Beach from street level and it's way more personal than even a driving tour. The Segway itself was a blast! I can't remember having so much fun! This has become a Must Do with any of our friends from out of town. Even though we found this deal at a discount, it was well worth the regular price and we won't hesitate to do it again. A very cool way to check out South Beach and the Art Deco district is on a Segway. This was my first time on a Segway and I had a blast. I went on the Segway Tour with Bike and Roll and felt very safe the entire time. In the beginning, the guide trains each person and makes sure each person has the basics down. We rented two bikes, one with a trailer behind it for our toddler, and they had it hooked up and ready to go before we got there -- and we arrived as soon as they opened -- which we really appreciated. Got to make it quick- I will NEVER rent from Bike and Roll again because: They sent me out with a lock that didn't work. I think it was a lock/key mis-match. They say it was jammed. Dude Laughed at me and told me the replacement lock I bought on the other side of town SUCKED. EITHER WAY- I had biked 10 miles from their station to my destination. I called them freaking out. I found a bike shop a few miles away. I bought a cheap replacement. When I returned the bike later in the afternoon The shop clerk was LAUGHING AT ME he still had me pay full price He told me the replacement lock I bought SUCKED Yes, he used "Sucked" Bike and Roll of South Beach Miami SUCKED in my opinion. I hate to use that word and can't believe that the employee used it so liberally at me when I was clearly upset. He offered no apology for my troubles. He just told me my lock I bought sucked. Just rented a pair of rollerblades from Bike and Roll, I was not happy. The brake was worn down, the wheels were worn down and the buckles were rusted. On top of that the shop keep looked as though he had totally ruined her day. When we returned the skates she didn't say not one word and I wish o was exaggerating. The only thing good was that price seemed fair $20 for all day. Too bad they hurt to much to use all day. I will definitely be going else where next time. read more

Helpful, friendly, inexpensive - what more could you ask for? We're familiar with the company because there's a location here in Chicago. We've always enjoyed their bike rentals and Segway tours and we've used their services in San Fran, too, so we figured we couldn't go wrong with Bike and Roll again in Miami. There's optional tours but you can just rent a bike for a few hours or the day if you're more inclined to just ride around. South Beach isn't that huge, so you can basically bike up and down it in about an hour. The bike rental itself was approximately $40 for two of us and we had the bikes rented for the entire day. The rental comes with helmets, locks and maps from the staff. We were assisted with adjusting the seats and such and then sent on our way. We rode from north to south on this little island, exploring various points of interest and parts of the beach along the way. It was nice to be able to take our time and explore on our own terms. I think a tour could be interesting, but we had Wikipedia to help us navigate the things to see and do in South Beach. Definitely recommended, especially if you just want to grab a bike and hit the roads for the day. You can lock them up a bunch of places along the water and stop and swim if you're so inclined. There's also racks around restaurants and shops, too, so you can stop and window shop or grab a bite to eat. read more
