I gave him my budget and since I didn't like what was in the range, I said I would save and come back. This past weekend, I finally made a purchase with Lion's Bike Shop. We went through a few, he would adjust them each to my height and have me stand on them to make sure they would be a good fit for practice. Since he knew I was riding a bike for the first time, he was so sweet and warm to give me some pointers! He recommended I wear thick clothing in the case that I fall down. He said to focus on the balance first, one foot on the pedal and one on the ground and continue the process until I felt confident enough to pedal slowly. In that moment, he felt fatherly. He was really looking out for me and my best interest. Against many friends' recommendations, I decided to buy local. Many told me to buy through Facebook marketplace or something else, but I refused. And it's for this reason! I was able to support a local business. I learned about gears, about different types of bikes. I learned about this man's background and his story! And I think all of that is worth it, it's priceless. I will be coming to Lion's Bike Shop for all my cycle needs. I can't wait for this journey.

Unfortunately the jackets are made for tall people with longer arms so it didn't fit the way it was supposed to, but luckily I found this gem of a place that does custom modifications to leather goods. They are super quick with turnaround times and their work is awesome. This is the second riding jacket that they've modified and you would think it came from the factory like this, the work is impeccable, and the quality and craftsmanship is outstanding. What makes it even better is the price, I'd say it's extremely fair considering the work. Take a look at the work.

I took a old leather jacket that belonged to my dad that needed to get repaired. It had to get a…read moreshoulder seam repaired, and the leather had dried out a lot so it was very stiff. They not only repaired the seam, but conditioned the leather and touched up some discolorations. They did a great job. The jacket looks and feels so much better. Definitely will use them again. BTW, it's best to call ahead before taking an item to get repaired.

My friend found their shop online, saw they have legit brake fluid reservoirs, and realized it was fairly local to us, so we rode out. Their shop/warehouse is legit. I cant remember the guys name who was working when we went, but he was extremely friendly and helpful, gave us a small tour of the place, and told the background story of On-Point. We got the reservoir, hung out for a bit and talked, then got ready to leave. As we were getting ready outside, the owner Kia just so happened to be walking up. He introduced himself and talked to us for a bit. Definitely a friendly guy as well.. With all this said and done, their service was awesome and their stunt cages are top notch. I wont even go into details about their unique cages (google it). But take my word, the guys at On-Point are experienced, knowledgeable, and they manufacture and sell high quality cages. I hear custom clip on bars are in the making right now too - so I am excited to see how that turns out.
