I hardly leave reviews, but I just don't want someone to go through what I went through. Shout out to Jim though, he is very professional and tried to help. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I brought my Harley in to get repaired. It worked for a week before giving out so I took it back. Once I took it back the owner Michael was rude and sarcastic. He told me it would be an easy fix and I have to come back to pick it up the same day. Fast forward TWO months and I've consistently asked for an update every week. They could not give me a straight answer. I decided to pull my bike from the shop, then all of a sudden they have the tools to fix the bike. I still kept my decision to pull my bike from their shop and when I do they tell me I did not give them a key to the bike. (Which I did) I had to call them again to get the keys to my bike and they gave me my bike in worse condition I gave it to them. Find another shop. Not worth your time. read more

I do not know where to even start. Ok I guess I will start from the beginning . Still dealing with my bike issue and feel like I should have went in their with a jar of Vaseline. I've heard about shops who do this .and now I feel her I am. I took my Harley in because my gears well first gear would jerk when I gassed it quick. I rode it like that for a lil more then a year the rest of the gears were fine.i thought it was a clutch problem but researching I now believe it was my forks that were worn I did see that. . But at first he said it would be around $2,000 and did not hear from them for a while then I called and he said he would get back to me . He said everything in my primary was ok and would have to open it up more to see and make sure what it is. So I got called and was told it was the gear broke off. And would be $3,000 and then got a call saying now it's my case is cracked and I told him I'm not working and don't have that kind of money. Let me go back when he told me it would be ,$3,000 I told him just put it back together and I would park it in my garage till I can afford it. Then he said hold on. And came back and told me to bring him in the cash I had and I can pay him when I pick up the bike . So u would think. Ok I mentioned buying a used trans and swapping it out which would be a lot cheaper for me . He did not want to do that and talked me into doing it at his place so I was on $3,000 and said ok. Reluctantly. Then I get a call a couple weeks later and he said my trans case has a crack on it and a piece broke off in it I told him I'm tapped out and cannot afford $800 more bucks to get another case. I told him again I can't do it he said hold on ,came back and said that he talked to his guys and they would just use the same case and put some JB weld on the inside part that broke. But will not warrantee the job. And I would still be paying $3,000 for a job that they cannot warrantee. Was told that those cases are absolute and they found one for 300 and $500 more labor . So this is where I'm at now with these guys. My bike is their I'm not picking it up worse then it was.and with them using JB weld on an internal or any part on my bike. It's not an absolute bike it's a 2015 breakout with no more then 20,000 miles on it. Now my point is they when they said they inspected it should have seen the crack supposedly. And would have told me then . They never showed me a broken gear. Only the forks. I do business in my life of work. Now when I do an estimate I thoroughly inspect what the problem is and give a price. And have to stand by my price even if I miss something that's my fault not the customers and especially after I have it all torn apart already. I absorb the cost and be a man of my word. And do not keep adding shit on for the same job. So they have my bike I'm not gonna except a job not done right and no warrantee . What they should have done is if the case was cracked I looked on line and seen them for as low as $160 my point being is they should have gotten me a good used case for $160 or $200 and did the job right instead of trying to make $800 more which would have been right under $4,000 bucks. And they should have did what I would have done is get the case ath cost which they still would have made a couple thousand profit easy. Parts to rebuild are not much even with a new case would probably be around $700 and they would have profited $2200 for a job that in the book says around 10 hours which I doubt even that. And everybody would be happy. But now I'm feeling f'd here because they got me to where I'm at their mercy and keep gouging at the price. And as I asked about a used one they could have just swapped it out and everybody done and happy. But they are looking at it in a way they can milke me for more money like I'm stupid. Is where they are taking my kindness for weakness. And I'm getting pissed off and thinking what should I do. Just go file a case at the court house and file a civil suit. Somebody told me they do this kinda thing to get people in a jam and they lein sale or will lein sale my bike and make a lot of money. And what kind of professional shop would use JB weld on a internal transmission part of suck a high torch heavy bike. It's Ludacris. So this is where I'm a. I could have bought a good used car for $3,000 dollars and at least had transportation And I know they are not gonna be stand up business men and do the job right so think about what I'm telling u. Hi, unfortunately I need to write this review after spending 3200 hundred dollars to have an engine swapped, me providing the engine. yes there were a couple of things that were unforeseen nevertherless, I didn't complain about the extra cost beyond initial quote 1000 dollars for the job. My problem was when the bike had clutch failure within 300 miles of the engine install, mind you the engine and transmission are one unit on the Harley sportster. Michael the shop owner somehow blamed me for the issue and claimed that it was rider abuse....Really ! ... that was B S , but I paid him to do the the clutches anyhow after having the bike towed back to the the shop. The clutch went out again within 100 miles of the install and again I had to have the bike towed to his shop. He stood behind his work and didn't charge me the second time do the clutch ,but something didn't smell right, he never explained to me why the clutch failed. You won't believe this and I could't either the clutch went again the third time with less than five hundred miles. once again I was stranded on the freeway and needed to be towed home. I'm through with this guy and the shoddy work he does , i wanted to believe him , I initially took a liken to him because I THOUGHT HE WAS STRAIGHT UP. He , Michael had the nerve to get an attitude with me after I confronted him about checking his process.his workers. Found out the the nut on the compensator sprocket fell into the primary housing after I had to do my own work. it should have been torque to 150 foot lbs. I'll take my business elsewhere , were I'll know the job will be done right and the customer is respected. read more

The staff is great but the quality of work is not. Multiple repairs for the same issue only to be told to bring the motorcycle back in several times. Regardless if they're at fault or not, you have to have an appointment. They go through staffing changes like crazy which means different mechanics have different opinions. Waste of time and money. Excellent Service and very reasonable prices for their work. I ride with a large group and some of them have been to Michael's shop. All have nothing but good things to say. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BIKE MOTORCYCLE MICHAELS ! Bought brand new 1960 V-twin panhead Heads thru Motorcycle Michaels. When I assembled the motor I had Low Compression in both Cylinders, 30psi in Rear and Under 90psi in the Front. Michael sent me to his person to check out the Barrels & Pistons. The person said the barrels show almost No Wear & the Pistons are Fine, matched Cylinders. He also did a cursory look at the New Heads, said Valve Seats look Fine. I reassembled the motor, with New Rings. Had the same Compression, 30psi in Rear and Under 90psi in the Front. Took my Bike to Motorcycle Michaels to verify that the Heads are the Problem so that I could Return them to V-Twin thru Michaels. I mentioned that possibly the Heads are Cracked or that the Sealing Surface of the Heads we bad. Michael assured me that I could Return the Heads after he reworked them if it didn't work, FU^%^@# LIER !! Michaels Ground the Heads. Had it in his Shop for near one (1) month. When I got my Bike back the Low Compression was the Same, 60psi in Rear and Under 90psi in the Front. When I Told Michael to send the Heads back to V-Twin, he told me that now that he Ground the Heads he Cannot Send them back !! HE CHARGED ME $365 DOLLARS & ONE MONTH TO DESTROY MY HEADS !! read more

Time for a little update. For the last 2 1/2 years I was working on Sundays and therefore didn't get in much riding. That ended recently so I got my Sporty out of mothballs and took it in for a full service and battery replacement. When I got it back it was amazing how sweet it ran. Not long thereafter I came across a great deal on and subsequently bought a 95 Low Rider that had been sitting unused for some time and needed a little rehab and a few performance updates. Took it in and had the work done and it also is running top notch. As always prices were reseasonable and service was attentive and professional. I have been coming here now since 2003 and I often get recommendations from other riders to take my bike(s) to various other shops around town but the truth is Michael and his staff have never given me a reason to want to go anywhere else. read more

Hard to find a shop that will touch a Harley w/a ton of aftermarket parts. Been turned away a bunch. Motorcycle Michael's got me in right away, and right before Sturgis even! My Sporty had a rebuild maybe 2k miles ago and was in dire need of its 'break-in' service. Carb has always given me problems since it's ultra sound cleaning/rebuild from Hudson Motorcycles (they turned me away too because of all the aftermarket parts). Anyhow, when I picked it up the whole staff seemed to be excited about the work they did I found out why; she's a whole different bike now! My neighbor, a veteran semi-pro racer came down from his apartment because he heard a great engine, and was surprised that it was my old Sporty! He talked my ear off on how that's THE engine and he can hear its soul. Thank you Mike, Robert & Joe for the experience I've always been looking for in a shop!
