Obviously I read the yelp reviews prior to setting up my appointment with this office, and I was quite hesitant on the personal remarks made, regardless of my opinion on prescription drugs and whatnot. Coincidentally the office had a few people in waiting, filled out the paperwork, and found it to be rather quiet, very much resembling a library; the phone rang a few times and there was some chatter, but the staff wasn't overly loud or even anything negative to say and to be level headed I can be confident in commenting that they were more than appropriate and actually rather kind toward me. The wait wasn't much at all, probably rather typical if anything, along with the wait in the exam room. The doctor came in and was pretty right to the point. After bringing my concerns and recent online-references, being self-diagnosed, it was a simple as 'this is what you have and this is what you need.' Completely understanding what it's like to communicate with a customer who knows everything, being one myself, I was very accepting of his comments, his recommendations and prescription. I'm not going to argue with my mechanic telling me I need a new battery because I know it's bad for the environment; I'll take the new battery! No beating around the bush; this is my health we're talking about after all and I want it accurate with a scientific approach based on research and experience. I received nothing distant from this and loved the approach. The doctor smiled, shook my hand, wished luck and that's it. Well done! A few days later I'm operating at 100% and no problems equals no qualms! I'm going to be honest, they didn't give me flowers as I left, but as far as service goes, the staff was on top of it and the doctor was exactly what this patient needed. read more

Don't waste your time! This practice is disorganized and unprofessional! I waited 45 minutes to be seen. The receptionist was nice and apologetic for the wait but seemed like she routinely puts out fires. When I was finally escorted to a waiting room, I sat in discomfort as I listened to the doctor's cold and uncaring exchange with the confused and scared young man in the next room. The door should have been closed for the type of discussion they were having. The doctor saw me for less then 10 minutes, seemed rushed, and offered a diagnosis that conflicted with a CT scan that my GP ordered prior to my visit. After I questioned him about the results of the scan, (which weren't with my paperwork) he quickly changed his diagnosis. He told me I would need surgery with no further discussion of the procedure and walked me out to be scheduled by the front desk. The ladies at the front desk were nice enough but had no information from the Dr and questioned me about his technical findings as there was no report for them to reference. I was told that they would follow up the next day on scheduling for surgery and to expect a phone call, which never came. I waited 5 days and called back, only to get their answering service during business hours (which happens frequently). The lady at the answering service told me that the office was open and to call back in 5 minutes. When I called back, I spoke with the same lady who seemed put out and reluctantly faxed the office a message to return my phone call. Too many red flags!!!! I called the office to cancel. The office manager was rude and argumentative and had no interest in hearing my concerns. Save your time and sanity. Go elsewhere!! read more

Dr. Bikhazi hurt my life! Only needing my tonsils out in 2006 he preformed an unnecessary surgery in my nose to charge my insurance company. Being young and not knowing any better after my ear drum ruptured... due to what he had done in my nose... I went to him for more help. He advised surgery and after telling him I don't have insurance he burned a polyp off of my ear drum and charged me $50... which was paid by cash by my Mom before we left. To this day it shows on my credit report and increases a dollar every month for almost 8 years. No way to contact this jerk or find a way to deal with it. I have disputed it but the asshole must be dead by now and have some great people managing his estate. SHAMEFUL!!! read more

I came back from cloud 9 in my Ophthalmologist's office to be utterly let down. I'm coughing since last Sunday, it's been a week and a half. So I walked into the office, well from the go you know how it's going to be based on how the receptionist greets you. 9 times out of ten people treat me very well, because I greet everyone with a warm and friendly smile. There were 3 of them, they ignored me and finally one came out of nowhere, not very friendly and I am, I'm like hi, she gave me something to fill out. This office is super busy mind you, people coming in and out to get shots. I don't know what kind of shots but these people were getting shots. They were friendly to some of the patients they knew, grown-ups, kids. After sitting down to fill out my (brand new patient form) I could hear the 3 receptionists gossipping. They were loud, laughing, i was annoyed because I was trying to focus on the questionnaire and I couldn't hear myself think. They looked way older than me so I'm going to assume they were women in their late 40's. usually older receptionist are more professional. After filling out the form, I got back up to give them my form, stood there for a while before they acknowledged me. I already made my decision right then and there that I was never going back. The doctor himself was nice, after waiting not that long he came to fetch me. Great bedside manner. He's an ear, nose and throat doctor, I came in about my cough, he did a basic exam of my ears, looked in my throat, looked up my nose and then he said he thinks it's bronchitis and he prescribed me anti-biotics. I DON'T TAKE ANTIBIOTICS unless I really need them. No chest Xray to know if I really have bronchitis, it was just an educated guess and I'm sorry that's just not good enough for me. My cough doesn't sound like bronchitis to me. I need to know what I have and if I have it for sure that's why I'm there. I expressed my reluctance in taking the anti-biotics and he tried to re-assure me, granted he's super nice, He's like-able but I need lab test, don't just guess and give me a prescription. I'm more of a holistic approach type of patient but very happy to listen to the experts too. If I'm going to destroy all the good bacteria in my gut along with the bad, I wanna know exactly what's wrong with me and then I can find out about alternatives and decide what my options are. He prescribed me something else. He did diagnose me with TMJ, that was productive, apparently I grind my teeth at night, so I have to follow up with my dentist. All in all I'm going to have to see another doctor about my cough, one who's going to do an X-ray and other test to diagnose if indeed I have bronchitis or pneumonia or what not. I don't just take pills for no reason. read more

Confrontational, inconsiderate and dated. Seemed like his Doctoring skills stop with prescribing big pharma products quickly. Like the previous yelper, I try and stay away from taking something potentially harmful that I may not need without fully understanding what's causing the problem and eliminated alternative solutions. I made an appointment to have my ears checked out. Staff was ok, but they did seem like they were on edge. Probably from the Doctor's personality. While in the patient room, my door was open as was all of the other patient rooms. For about 15 minutes I heard Dr. Henry Bikhazi belittle a very frustrated patient. I got to hear about the patient's poor financial situation, lack of insurance and what's wrong with her. Privacy anyone...? Doctor was rude, short and belittled the patient with "sweetheart" comments and a condescending tone of voice. When he got to me my door was also left open. First impression was a grumpy, old man who's tired of people not following his exact words as law. Sorry, but your beat-up old maroon fleece vest with dog hair all over it isn't exactly a pillar of confidence for your patients. Whenever I detailed what I was in for or questioned using prescriptions he quickly moved into some sort of power trip. I asked something like, "this doesn't sound like a healthy product". "What is healthy?", he responded in a condescending tone of voice. Yeah, let's have a philosophical debate over what healthy means instead of just talking through this together. He got frustrated when I'd question his advice or product recommendations and just rudely moved on without reaching a solution. He wanted to quickly look at my ears and nose, tell me everything that's wrong with me and prescribe a bunch of crap that I doubt will help fix anything. Sounds like I was going back and forth with him for a while, but I was with the Doc for no more than 15 mins. He's from a different time and needs to retire. No longer serves the healthcare community adequately for my standards. read more

I wasn't a patient of this office, but I have a "customer service" related experience with this company worth informing others about. I simply tried calling and rescheduling a surgery for my boss as he extended his out-of-the-country trip. The rude receptionist gave me so much unnecessary attitude it was unbelievable. I'm spelling his name to be kind and I get back a, "mmhmm" back like i'm stupid for even offering..umm okay. I'll let that slide I guess. She then proceeds to tell me she cant speak with me unless I'm related to him because of HIPPA regulations. I work in HR, I know what HIPPA regulations stand for. I'm not trying to speak about his health information or get details regarding his surgery. I simply want to reschedule his appointment. She then puts me on "hold" without actually pressing the button and proceeds to talk sh*t about me to her fellow coworker that I can clearly hear. I then get the pleasure of speaking with this coworker and continue to get nowhere. She tells me if he is not coming in then she will give the spot to another patient. So apparently I can CANCEL the appointment, but not reschedule it for him? Well in that case, thank you for the information, I will be relaying this back to him and I'm pretty sure their lack of respect and customer service skills will persuade him to go elsewhere. I know there are plenty of professional health organizations out there that will gladly accept our business. read more

I read the yelp reviews prior to my visit and I think people exaggerate something worse than it really is. For instant regarding HIPPA regulations. There are guidelines and I have to agree with the office because if your so called Boss is that busy where he couldn't as much as to take care of his own personal matters than your not actually taking care of the HR department like you should be. Writing a report to yelp regarding scheduling or changing an appointments and how rude the receptionist is has nothing to do with the doctor him self. I would say that you most likely were upset that you had to take care of something for your Boss that you didn't want to and you took it just a little to far as to exaggerate a story. Everyone seems to have some kind of a complaint going to a doctor's office. It's always about the time of waiting, It's always about how rude the office is, It's always about doctor's giving to much medications. Than what do they do as soon as they leave the office and get to work or arrive at home. Patient's can"t wait to jump on YELP! to " VENT ". Most of you return to the same doctor"s office that you complained about. Many of you don't have a life or friends so to make your self feel better it's best just to jump on the computor and began disrespecting a Doctor''s Practice, Resturants, Business, etc. You all should be ashamed. Even though I had to wait a little over an hour to see Dr. Bikhazi and I guess I could complain about one or two things, but where does it get me... " NO WHERE " I was fortunate to be scheduled the same day I called. I"m scheduled to see Dr. Bikhazi in 2 weeks for a follow up and it's not worth my time to complain to the public about the little stuff. Dr. Bikhazi is very thorough and to the point. He helped out a lot with my chronic sinus and bronchitis issues just by offering a few tips about my living situation and expressed how he didn't want to just give medicine to temporarily fix the problem but wanted to treat the issue permanently. I thought that was awesome. The receptionist Kay is an amazing sweetheart! She's so insightful, very helpful and kind. Great atmosphere and super thankful I found an ENT that takes his time and doesn't shove meds in my face. read more
