Our first morning on the Island we were set to look for Acai Bowls and as we were walking down the strip we ran into Bikini Bottoms Coffee. I spoke the the staff member and asked about cross-cotimination for my and my sons allergies. She was very helpful and let us know what we can have and can't have. She aslo informs us that all the equipment would be cleaned. We both got the Tropical Thunder, it comes with: acai base with blueberry cinnamon granola, bananas, pineapple, papaya, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries and he added chocolate syrup. The fruits were fresh and juicy. I felt refreshed with every bite. The location has indoor and outdoor seating. We decided to eat outdoors! We got a latte with soy milk and a latte with oat milk. We tried Kona coffee from a few places now and this was the first place where we could really taste the unique Kona coffee flavors - earthy, chocolatey (especially with oat milk; with soy, you can taste the soy flavor a bit and the Kona coffee flavor's not as strong). Came back a few more times since it's so good and their lattes are very consistent! We also tried their vegan chocolate croissant. They helped us warm up the croissant, but it was still cold on the inside (the chocolate filling and bottom side of the pastry). That was a bit disappointing, but it still tasted good and probably would have been even better thoroughly warmed! (The ice cream is NOT vegan for those wondering if it's vegan ice cream. We inquired since they don't serve cow milk in their coffees, so we thought maybe their ice cream was so vegan.) read more

Very nice barista and cashier, came here twice for matcha and espresso. Matcha could be more earthy but it still tastes great. They accept Local Cash via Cashapp so that was nice. We ordered an açaí bowl, and it was terrible, worse than something a five-year-old could make at home. The service was essentially nonexistent, yet I still left a tip for simply handing me the bowl. I mentioned that we were kamaʻāina, but the employee had difficulty communicating and made it seem as though he had applied the discount. After paying and asking for the receipt, I realized that no discount had been given. He then told me, "I think the kamaʻāina discount only applies to people who live on this island." This is a cute little cafe and gift shop on Ali'i Drive in Kailua Town. They have indoor and outdoor seating too. Inside they have lots of locally made gifts, including many with the cafe logo. Prices are reasonable. The barista was super friendly. This is an alternative dairy cafe, no actual milk products are used including in the cheeses. A favorite highlight was the use of coffee ice cubs in the ice coffee; delicious and refreshing! read more

Super cute coffee and gift shop. I tried their iced matcha latte with oat milk. Matcha was a little muddy and I mostly tasted the oat milk. The color was a little too light green in my opinion. Tried their acai bowl. Asked for recommendation from the person at the counter. Got the Tropical Thunder which she recommended. It had granola and mixed tropical fruits. While it had pineapple which is definitely tropical, it also had raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. It was alright. I did not think it was special. Food tasting ice cream but the fact that we could've taste before buying was not cool. Especially when my boyfriend ordered the cookie dough and it ended up tasting like peanut butter and the counter person wouldn't give him another flavor because he had already taken a bite out of it! So no tasting beforehand and you're screwed once you buy because you tasted and didn't like the flavor. What a racket. Especially for $10 a cone. We were shocked at the taste of our drinks and bagels here. I got an iced mocha, and my friend got a mac nut latte (as recommended by our barista). We were excited to try this place because it had a cute ambiance and naturally we took a sip of your coffees right when we got them. However, our lattes did not taste like lattes. They tasted like grainy iced coffees (watered down). My friend added sugar yo hers, and I added agave, but it did not help. Also, we were unfamiliar with vegan butter being unsalted, so we added some salt for personal preference, however our bagels' texture was not toasted from the start. Our barista appeared to put the bagels in to toast right when we ordered them (and before we ordered our drinks an payed) because bagels took a while to toast. Walked around Ali'i drive and came across this place. The inside and outside of the shop was super cute and there was seating. Ordered the Lava acai bowl and was very disappointed. Best coffee I've found on the island. Strong, chocolaty - it's what I expect when I think of Kona coffee, but can still be hard to find.

The ice cream flavors were unique and delicious. I had the "Lava Java" ice cream that had Kona coffee, chocolate chips and other ingredients that were amazing enough that I came back the next day to eat it again. It was SO good. Other family members had ice cream they really enjoyed that was refreshing and delicious! Coconut and mango cream ice cream was highly recommended and perfect for a hot Hawaii day treat. The staff are friendly and accommodating and are eager to answer questions and make recommendations. Highly recommended just for the ice cream alone! read more

The service was not good, and honestly I would skip this place if you're looking for an acai bowl. Great Acai bowl place that's open when most others are closed for the day. We found this because of that. The bowl I had was loaded with fruit and granola. They also have ice cream that's delicious. We went here for Acai bowls while walking Ali'i drive. I would def have to say not the best spot for Acai- maybe coffee but not Acai. The Acai seemed like it was pre frozen into the bowls, it had freezer burn on it- or so it seemed. The toppings were good-pineapple, strawberry, banana which were fresh but the blueberries and papaya were soggy and mushy.
