    You have arrived.

We stop in every time we visit this island. Vegan and gluten-free options. Baked goods, great coffee, kombucha. Easy parking. Fabulous staff. Mahalo!

Great coffee, the little shop is full of locals , local wares and great coffee , and pastries. I was too full to eat and of them though. Staff and service is super friendly even when you almost take the wrong coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really appreciated the loose fun vibe here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you want what feels like "real" local coffee shop on the big island this is the place. Glad we found it

Didn't even know they grow Geisha in Kona! Brought home this amazing bag of beans.

I had Kaya's on my list to visit since before we even left the mainland, but alas, family was driving us around most of the time so we didn't get to visit until the day we had to leave. I regret not going sooner! [[HIGHLIGHT]]What a charming place! It was like a gluten free wonderland, and the coffee was excellent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I knew from reviews that I would have GF options, but didn't realize that I'd be able to eat almost anything there. I had a piece of quiche (all four quiche options were GF), blueberry scone, butter mochi, and a S'mores brownie. The crust on the quiche was so flaky and perfect, my bf and I were blown away that it was actually GF. Scone was yummy too. Didn't eat the brownie or mochi until the next day and they were still fantastic. I wanted to buy almost everything in the case, but alas, it would not all fit in my suitcase. They also have a great selection of unique gifts including handmade jewelry, clothing, dried fruits, coffee beans, etc. We bought a really special Kona coffee (a Geisha) and have been enjoying it at home. If only we could have something as magical as Kaya's at home... oh well, guess we'll have to fly back to Kona again soon. And next time I'll be at Kaya's every morning, lol.

We visited Kaya's every morning we were on the Big Island. The coffee was delicious, I got an oat milk latte with an add shot and 3 pumps of vanilla. Their vanilla is less sweet, it was so good! Also got a different quiche each day and all were delicious. We also tried the pumpkin chocolate granola bar, the blueberry scones and the smores brownies, again, ALL delicious!! Next time we are on the island we will be back!!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a great and open space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So many flavors to customize your lattes. And so many different gluten free and vegetarian dessert options my sweet tooth was is heaven. Everyday we went there was something new. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Also peep around at the local arts sold and community board.

You're surrounded by local coffee farms so everything hits hard with flavor and freshness. Also had the smores bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool little shack feeling literally on the side of the road.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Kind servers with quick service. GO SUPPORT THE LOCALS!

Customer service was right on point this morning, the gal that helped us really displayed Aloha. She greeted us with a nice smile and very helpful, she may have been the owner by the looks of it, she was really nice. Greeted with Aloha ended with Mahalo. We ordered a s'more granola bar, avocado toast and the daily eggplant, onion and parm quiche and the taste was delicious. The crust was flakey and baked well. I hope this business makes it because it was really good.

The location is easy to find, right off the road with their own parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is open with seating indoors and outdoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The employees are very welcoming and nice. I ordered a Carmel matcha with Macnut milk and it's very good 5/5. I also ordered a sourdough veggie sandwich, really good 5/5. I highly recommend stopping here. It's organic and refreshing!

This has become one of my top favorite cafe around Hawai'i! They have a variety of organic, gluten-free and dairy-free goodies for people with dietary restrictions, and not only that, but their food is actually pretty good. This is my second visit during my stay here, and there might just be a third time as well, haha! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place also seems to be quite popular amongst locals! It was popping during my last two visits.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Like most cafes, ordering is done at the counter, and whenever your name is called, you pick up your goods. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of small tables around for small parties. It's quite cute how their tables are scattered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Today, my partner got 1) Quiche and 2) Mamaki Tea. For myself, I went for 3) Avocado toast, but on an everything bagel, 4) Matcha latte with almond milk, and we shared a 5) Lavender chocolate scone. I really like how they don't charge extra for milk substitutions as I think it's more inclusive of people with dietary restrictions. The lavender chocolate scone was light, but also rich. Although I don't feel like I got much lavender flavor, the chocolate wasn't too sweet, which is great. I had their mango dragon fruit scone yesterday and it was also light, but such a delicious scone, I just had to give a different scone flavor a try today. Their scones have more of a fluffy texture than a buttery one, which I liked a lot! As for their avocado toast, it looks plain, but it don't let that deceive you because it tasted amazing! I think they may have applied some butter to it before adding the creamy avocado on top, so it was pretty savory. The everything bagel adds a nice savory taste to it as well. As for their Matcha latte, it was pretty good! It definitely had more Matcha taste to it than milk, so I'm glad it didn't taste diluted. The matcha was a nice morning pick-me-up drink. So happy I found this cafe nearby! Their service is super friendly and nice as well, so do stop by here if you get the chance and support this business!

    Breakfast. A delicious quiche.

Hubby & I spend lots of spare time there. The food is always delicious. The crew knows us & always has our drinks ready. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you are a first timer at Kaya's don't hesitate to talk to customers there. Share a table & make new friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Regular coffee, iced matcha latte, and iced vanilla late.
    John C.

We came here nearly every morning for coffee as our family was vacationing at Big Island. This was one of the few places open early for people like us adjusting from pacific time zone. Ordered the same thing everyday: 2 regular coffees black, 1 iced vanilla late, and 1 iced matcha latte with soy and shot of vanilla. I saw the barista grinding the matcha. It was really good. The family raved about the taste so I ended up going at almost every morning. It was easily accessible off the main hwy and quick in and out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seemed like a good hangout spot for locals too. Plenty of tables and space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First off, their macadamia ice cream is really really good! Creamy, thick, sooo tasty! We also ordered: Epic Feisty Tacos - 5/5 - comes with three tacos and spicy sauce. The tacos are super tasty and perfectly balanced spicy, savory, tangy flavors. The lemon herb chik'n is also so good, you can't even tell it's vegan. The tortillas are a bit on the crumbly side, but still equally tasty as a taco bowl. Definitely would recommend this dish if you love spicy tacos! Epic journey nachos - 4/5 - the toppings on the nachos taste similar to the feisty tacos. The chips are more like baked tortillas with a crispy exterior and softer center. Journey Classic Crepe and Blueberry macnut crepe - 3/5 - The crepe itself was a bit thick, I'd describe it as more of a pancake than a crepe as crepes should be super thin. Still pretty good though all together, fruity and sweet. Latte with oat milk - 4/5 - a bit on the bitter side but not a bad latte! Asian salad - 4/5 - good salad, vegan meat is well seasoned and everything pairs well together. It wasn't very Asian tasting though, more like a Mexican-Asian fusion salad.

I particularly enjoyed their strawberry shake, which was so refreshing. I noticed that they also have a coffee one, which means I'll need to stop in again next time I'm in Kona. in spite of walking in during a busier time of day, service was quick both while putting in the order and waiting for our food to come out of the kitchen. The decor is a visually fun and engaging mix of greenery and art designed to keep diners feeling cooler in Kona's heat. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available. Honestly, this location looks extremely popular for a late breakfast, and it makes sense to me: the menu was full of some yummy offerings. You felt like you were sitting in a very personal, old time diner where everyone would know each other. It was honestly very authentic, and I loved how we felt like we were at a friend's house. The smoothies were really good! Bright, vibrant flavors and very much needed after a busy morning. The cheesecake, well, it lasted about 2.5 seconds. Seriously sooo good and a nice little treat! I believe they make the cheesecake and other baked goods in-house, so that's a bonus. This wasn't what we were hunting for, but we were happy to stumble upon this cozy diner!
