Shortly after posting I was contacted by the management and they took full accountability for what transpired. They explained the challenges they had with the job and offered to come back and do the necessary repairs at their expense. It has been a few days since the repair and I am happy to report that everything now seems to be working fine. I greatly appreciate the way this was handled by Service First- they made it right and there's not much more a customer can ask for. I am now very satisfied and feel confident that I can contact Service First if there are any additional issues.

He explained everything he did and provided some helpful tips to keep the system running smoothly. This included advice on keeping the outside unit clean. Plus he added a circuit breaker to prevent power surges knocking out the service during the crazy storms we have been having this Summer. Made an appointment for a free estimate (per the Yelp website) for a plumber. The Yelp representative (Kelly?) had replied to my inquiry regarding the availability of a plumber and said one was available the same day to come out & provide a free estimate . I agreed & Christian Plumbing called & said a technician would come @ 3:30 PM. Around 2:30 PM I received a phone call from the technician (Nick?) saying that there was a service call charge of $250 to come out to provide an estimate. Talk about "bait & switch", this was the worst scam ever.

If we got the unit that we agreed on it wouldn't be so giant in the space. Thermostat has been wacky since February. He told us needs to be replaced. Texted Anthony every week for over a month no response. We've been ghosted. Horrible experience basically our warranty is void bc we can't even get an answer from them.... I came…read moreacross Northampton Heating and A/C and was happy to see 1) they were local and 2) all the 5 star ratings. I figured all those 5 star ratings couldn't be wrong. And happily they weren't. Throughout the whole process, from quote to installation, Bill was informative, friendly, neat, and professional. He took pride in his work and genuinely appreciated being able to be of service. He even went above and beyond and replaced a busted vent he noticed on our clothes dryer. I'm looking forward to a warm garage come next winter and will be calling on Bill for any future heating and A/C needs.

The pilot light wouldn't stay lit. He worked his way from all the obvious and inexpensive fixes and only got to the more more expensive ones when the simple fixes didn't work. He communicates very well -- he told me what he tried and what was next as he went. I ended up needing a new gas valve and pilot assembly. In my 20 years here, I have never seen my pilot so strong. I'm very pleased with his work. He also helped get my potbelly stove with a gas assembly working again and had some helpful thoughts for how to make it retain more heat.

I called Kenderdine's after hours and received a call back promptly from their on-call technician Will. He came out, diagnosed the problem, and fully repaired the issue with parts he had on the truck. Years ago I worked for an oil company. I never heard of this company, but they proved to me that they are not worthy of the other negative reviews I read. You cannot buy cheap oil from whoever you want, then expect service when you need it. The people that sell cheap oil DO NOT provide quality service you can count on. I don't know what their oil price is, but I'm sure it was fair or my dad wouldn't have gone with them. Their delivery service has been good, my dad has a very challenging long tree lined driveway. ....and now I know the service department is top notch. I highly recommend Kenderdine's!
