Let me start by saying that I have waited to write this review not only for seeing how well the install went, but the longevity of the work. I was NOT disappointed. The summer of 25 our AC unit completely failed after changing out various parts by myself over the years. I had 2 other companies come out and look at it, and both came back relatively close in price, but timeline for repair was totally unacceptable for my situation. With a pregnant wife, and temps hitting 90+ inside the house, a fan could only do so much. I reached out to Dilling, on a recommendation from a neighbor that had owned a HVAC company but sold to another vendor. Seemed a bit off, but when we called, and spoke with the lady on the phone, I completely understood why. Her ability to sense why I was calling on a 95* day was impeccable. They were out that same day, and I do believe that the man saw the desperation in my eyes as he panned over to my pregnant wife and placed his hand on my shoulder. He not only took interest in why i had continued to fix the old heap, but was more impressed that I genuinely had no clue what I was talking about, but kept it running. I called things by the wrong names, that I had made up and he sort-of knew what part i was talking about after some explaining of where and what it looked like. His diagnosis was the same as the other two companies. It is completely dead. Replace only. but then what happened next surprised me. the guy took a few phone calls, not from other jobs, but he put out a call to help find us some better pricing. were they wholesalers? Competitors? cousins who "find" things? couldnt tell you. but what i will say is that he not only got us a great deal for a FULL UNIT, upstairs and outside, he was able to get it done within a couple short days. When the install was happening, along side of all the techs, all the people who knew what they were doing, this guy was doing the install too. not just watching. Dennis was a hero for me that day, and I've only had to call them for minor questions, that were my own stupidity for not listening initially, which I heard from my wife first. I can' t say enough good things about this company. truly. they were there when we needed them most, they made real efforts to help us with price, and held their word with timelines, and had me up and chilly in 2 total days of work. outstanding. just outstanding. oh, and its now 7/2026. in the heatwave. and its still 71* inside. no issues to report with quality of units, price, timeline, customer service, or quality of work and install. 10/10. read more

From the first call i made to the Dilling office I was treated with respect and consideration. My Air conditioning was not functioning properly. In the middle of this heat wave I was advised that a service person would be at my home the same day between 4PM and 6PM. The service person, Mike Rieichart, arrived on time, corrected my issue and advised me to make an appointment for a "tune up" in the near future which I will do. Had a 20 yr old condenser unit go down in the midst of a heatwave which unfortunately also involved replacing the unico blower as well. After receiving a few absurdly high estimates with no calls back about justification of pricing on their estimates, got a fair middle ground one from John and dilling, who were great. John was a pleasure to deal with in communicating throughout the process making sure I was on the up and up not only with the details of the estimate, but status of work once it started too. HVAC rip-off -- Dilling /Munz HVAC My AC went down in July. I called Patriot because several years ago Joe was the to first to respond after I had head & neck cancer surgery. Joe and Jackie were very likeable, honest, and ethical. So, of course I called Patriot first. Dilling answered who bought Patriot. A Munz truck showed up. The service guy immediately told me my unit is old and should be replaced. He looked at both the outside/compressor unit and inside/coil. After removing screws, he peered inside the coil housing using a flashlight. He assured me that the coil was fine. He inspected the outside unit and said it had a leak. I asked what it would cost? He said I can talk about prices with the guy that will show up tomorrow. When Chase Lopez came, we talked for almost two hours, mostly about my mechanical abilities. He offered me a job. It made me feel good. I said I'm retired. I asked about prices. Chase said he will not sell me an outside unit without replacing the coil for a total of $6736. I said I'd let him know. He asked what's keeping me from moving forward? I said if the guy that's coming tomorrow beats your price he'll get the business. On his way out, Chase dropped $500 off the price. After thinking about it I realized Chase was the hard sell guy. He was a real smooth, super nice guy. The next day the local Rheem authorized dealer tested the outside unit and the coil with a sniffer. He found the leak in the coil. The price was $2250 for a new coil. Even more upsetting than the price difference was that Dilling charged my bank account twice for the same service call. $52.25 for a preauthorized withdrawal on July 9th then $52.25 for the check on July 12, 2024. I called Dilling. The customer service manager assured me that I would get refunded. After a couple of days. I called and asked to speak to Chase's boss. I complained to Dennis, the new Operations Manager, that his service guy lied when he told me my outside unit needs replacing and the coil is good without doing any testing. Then Chase bumped up the price to include the coil, followed by dropping his price by $500 to get the business. Dennis assured me I'd get my $52.25 back. He said he was only with the company a few months and was hired to bring this Dilling/Munz [thing] together. He said Chase was hired to increase sales. After about a week I told him I didn't get my money back. He said a check was sent and now he must stop payment on the check before he can send another. Now it's late September 2024. Dilling still hasn't returned my money! Doesn't this company have any scruples? They must be pretty hard up that they need to double charge customers and lie to them about their needs. I attempted to post my review on Google but the Dilling site did not allow me to post. When I typed Dilling HVAC Reviews their website does not show their stars rating. It shows 3 testimonials that rotate. When I typed Munz HVAC Reviews the same 3 testimonials appear but Dilling is replaced by Munz. read more

I had hired Dilling a couple of times in the last 3 months and paid around $1400. Couple of weeks ago, my heater was working just fine but had a nail or something in the blower assembly and was making noise. I called Dilling, who I had used in the last 3 months a couple of times and given them business of around $1500. Their repair guy Ryan came in. Said it's a matter of a minutes to fix it: tried it but couldn't reach the blower assembly. So he removed all the wires to the circuit board in order to pull out the blower assembly a little forward so his hand could reach it. He reconnected the wires and the system wouldn't start. After trying for almost an hour he said the board needed to be replaced because it had broken. I told him it was not broken before he took out all the wires and I wouldn't be paying for the board. I was told would cost me about $1000 (with installation). Spent the night without heat and next day spoke to John (the owner/manager) and he said they wouldn't pay for the broken board nor would they give me any discount. I ended up paying for the board and installation $980. Needless to say I would never hire them to do any work and would make sure my colleagues in BNI would know not to give Dilling any referrals. read more

Everything seemed to be fine after replacing the contact on the outside unit from a mouse nest. Come to find out the best fried my nest (thermostat). It worked just enough for about an HR after. MaryKate in the office was prompt in response to text messages, Pat arrived early to check on our ac problems and carefully assessed them explained clearly what was wrong and the options available. Chase arrived promptly and went over the replacement systems and costs, scheduled the work for the following day, and responded to a question that came up after working hours. After a little back and forth, Dilling techs finally hooked us up with a great mini split ductless system at our business and we could not be happier. I think trying to get an install during the hottest part of the year wasn't the best timing wise, so I wouldn't recommend going that route, but I would definitely recommend this company if you need any heating or cooling needs. read more

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY THEYRE INHUMANE!!!! I had fire due to a fuzebox explosion in my last home. Lost absolutely everything. I left it up to the landlord to deal woth any issues in that home and it still blew up but I vowed to not touch another fuzebox in a home I rent. My landlord hired this team to install boilers or something. Nothing to do with the fuse box however, after they were finished doing their job, they came up to my apartment to ensure that I had heat. They then saw as well as I that I didn't have power in half of my house when I inquired to them about it they told me to go talk to my landlord in a very nonchalant manner in which that angered me simply, because I don't want to touch the fuse box, because my last house exploded because of it even after asking the employee to simply flip the switch, he did not and he expressed himself in a tone that was very inhumane, and I will never be contacting them for any type of work that I need ever again and I will ensure that I contact everybody that I know to ensure that they're not working with this company either this is a terrible company and nobody should use it. The company left with my house having half power, and I wasn't able to contact my Landlord until the end of the day simply because he was out of town for work so I was out of power simply because they wanted to change out the boilers or whatever, and I feel as though that is extremely inhumane to do to customers, especially since I asked in such a pleasant manner, I think you guys should recheck who you employ and ensure that employees that you do have are up to par with the customer service. read more

Incident occurred July 12th 2024. Our niece Ashly Adams and her husband Sean Adams paid for a Services they did not receive. They pay a monthly fee, for years, to protect their investment, their A/C in their home. Dilling did not take care of them in a proper fashion! Dilling states the have Emergency Service. When Ashly & Sean needed Dilling to come and take care of their A/C, they blew them off, stalled them out, and left them their son, a special needs adult, and two heavy fur coated large breed dogs and us their elderly Aunt and Uncle that is in his 70's in 90* - 96* plus heat for three days. Dilling has been receiving a monthly fee every month for years. There was no reason other than incompetence and lack of Customer Care that Dilling did not come immediately. They took Ashly & Sean's money monthly for years, but did not provide the "Service" that they paid for. Dilling takes the money but does not train their employees to properly handle their job duty functions. Dilling should not guilt their customers by saying ... "we are struggling, we can not find any good technicians"! That is not a Customer Issue. Ashly & Sean have paid good money every month for years and then to have Dilling treat our Family in that manner is appauling, unprofessional, unethical and down right immoral. No Company should endanger a special needs adult, an elderly couple in their 70's and animals the way Dilling did. That's Abuse, Neglect and Endangerment in 90* - 96* Degrees for three days. Any one of us could have stroked out and or dehydrated and died! Dilling does not seem to struggle with taking their Clients money. However, they do struggle with properly training their employees that are supposed to be proving a Service to those paying Clients. Dilling should be ashamed, embarrassed and display humility for the way they treated Ashly & Sean and their Family. Dilling needs to do better by actually Servicing their Clients in a proper & professional manner immediately every day! read more

Very satisfied with the technician that came out to diagnosis and repair a leak from our upstairs bathtub. Got to the bottom of the issue quickly, repair was made on the spot and he fixed our leak. Turned out to be a worn gasket installed incorrectly from the original owners of our home on the bathtub overflow cover. A technician from another company came out earlier in the day and couldn't diagnosis the issue. Would recommend Dilling to others just off my experience and the professionalism of the technician. read more

Dilling saved our lives! The heating system in our new/old house was completely unusable and we relied on space heaters to get us through the tail end of winter last year until we could find someone to install an electric boiler. We literally had 4 different companies come out and tell us they couldn't do anything with the old existing hot water baseboard system. We almost caved and had an ugly split system installed until we met with Greg from Dilling who from day 1 was nothing short of amazing! Greg never gave up on our hopes of using the beautiful old baseboards and searched high and low to locate a compatible electric boiler! We had two leaks in our dining room coming from the second floor bathroom. I thought it was going to be a $10,000 repair. Turned out that we need to replace the wax ring.
