Bill Currie Ford may very well be the worst dealership I have ever been to. Specifically the service department. I had an airbag light come on my 2021 ford Mustang. I brought it here since this was a serious issue and needed to be addressed. The service team told me I had an RCM module that needed to be replaced. I took the car to a local shop and they said it was a loose connection all along. So please be warned, these guys are thieves and not good people. Karma always comes back around and I can't wait for robots to replace the shady thieves at the service desk. read more

Deceptive online pricing tactics. The prices you see online are only for people who qualify for every single possible rebate at the dealership, which is practically impossible. Then they lowball you on your trade in. When I bought my Maverick Lobo from them, I made it perfectly clear that I wanted ZERO add-ons. They tacked on a service plan that had nothing to do with oil changes, telling me it was a maintenance plan and it was bought with my ford pass points. Well it wasn't. It was a warranty that expires before the factory warranty does, making it entirely useless while costing me 918 dollars. Took my son's 2019 F150 here for recall and because his engine light came on with transmission jumping gear. They did 80k mile maintenance ($900!!) and recall & said all was good. Went to drive off and light comes back on and truck drives poorly. Did they test drive it? No! They were nice enough to get my son a loner car since it was closing time, as he works in Orlando and said they would check it out again. We get call next day that transmission needs replaced. Cost quoted...just under $14k with 36k mile warranty!! What? $14k for a transmission? Are you f'ing kidding me? Talking to other shops a brand new one ( and I have the order info for Ford) is around $5900. So what is the other $8k for? We ended up towing the truck to a shop that did the work for what it should cost. Also after quoting us their ridiculous price at BC Ford, they had the shady tactic of calling my son to see if he wanted to buy a new car. It sounds like they were hoping that by making the cost so ridiculous for repair that my son would trade in his mint condition truck with lift & new rims for a new one. I will never buy from or get maintenance at BC Ford. And honestly, I may never buy a Ford again. We always have and my wife & I even worked for Ford credit for years. I purchased a 2025 F-150 from this dealership. The salesman I had was kind and courteous as well as all the staff inside during the initial purchase experience. I walked in with a preapproval and blank check from my credit union and upon selecting my truck, the finance manager then brought out an iPad asking for all of my information, and I told him "I just gave you the paperwork and check from my credit union, you don't need this." He told me it "was a way to move my preapproval into their system" and "it wasn't a hard credit inquiry" I finished the questionnaire and again, before hitting submit, asked the finance manager "I need you to confirm this is NOT a hard credit inquiry" to which he confirmed. I submitted my information. We went into his office to sign the documents for purchase and I found where the finance rate I was approved for was now higher. This should have set off alarm bells, but after showing him my rate from my credit union, he fixed it. On my drive home I started getting emails and push notifications from my credit monitoring that BILL CURRIE FORD has run my credit SEVERAL times for hard credit inquiries. I called my credit union and they confirmed the preapproval I walked in with was still "open" and was not used The finance manager lied to my face several times and didn't even use the preapproval I walked in with. He instead ran me through a credit application via the dealership and tried to snag me for a higher rate. I had thought I had done enough homework to avoid these deceptive bait and switch tactics but the finance manager at Bill Currie Ford will do everything he can to screw you and make more money. It's been 6 months of nonstop phone calls and emails trying to get it removed, but since the loan I have is through the dealership they scammed me for, it's what I have to deal with. My experience with Bill Currie Ford is anything but pleasant. The service department is useless we bought a 2024 Ford Escape a year ago a with only 500 miles on it. 2 weeks after we had it the software that controls all of the safety features and cruise control stopped working. Been in for service 3 times. The 1st time was told we could not fix the update problem. 2nd time we had it in were told that it was supposed to update through the air. It did not. 3rd time for this update still same thing we don't have the software, then who does have it? I am a senior citizen and disabled and need these features for safety reasons and depend on the cruise control. The fact is we are paying 600.00 a month for a car that is not safe to drive. So, I am driving a car that I cannot depend on the safety features. We are just getting the run around. Time to seek legal counsel. Absolutely useless, waiting a week for them to even look at my vehicle powertrain warranty claim. Service Writer uses the BS excuse "It takes a special tech to look at your truck". It is a 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD, I bought used from Bill Currie, any tech in that garage can look at it. Mechanics get paid less to work on warranty claims, so they avoid them. An honest dealership would dole out the warranty claims equally so everyone has to deal with them. Bottom line DO NOT buy a car from Bill Currie Ford, if you expect to have it repaired there, I have been waiting a week and they still have not looked at the vehicle yet. read more

I had THE most amazing buying experience at Bill Currie Ford in getting my truck last week. Initial contacts were very courteous in setting appointments. Once on site, I truly felt like so was being assisted by family. Literally! Sean, Mike, Scotty and my sales contact Kevin were amazing, easily navigating all questions easy and tough. I was amazed at Kevin's product feature acumen. Scotty did a great job sharing additional options available to me. No one was ever pushy, not even a little bit. Finally, I felt like a got a good price and based on other experiences at Bay Area dealers in the days prior, I feel confident in saying this. Five stars all day! We've owned quite a few Ford cars and recently traded my hubs mustang for a Dodge. So I've had my fair share of experience with this place, both good and bad. I hate the location because it is always a challenge getting in and out given the traffic. Picked up my friend from here since she was getting her truck serviced for a recall. They were pretty backed up the morning she dropped off the truck and despite having an appointment, we still ran approximately 20 minutes behind her appointment time. The service staff explained that it was due to the recall for the amount of cars being dropped off. Her truck was ready later on that day so I did take her back to pick up however once she started the truck the service light came on and she had to leave it overnight. Thankfully she purchased the warranty that covers rental cars. Ford was good about driving her over to the rental place to get a car. read more

The finance manager outright lied to me -- twice -- just to squeeze a little more money out of the deal. I came in ready to pay with a check, but was told the price I was offered could only be honored if I financed the vehicle. I asked very clearly, twice, if I would accrue any interest before making the first payment. He assured me both times that I would not, and that my payment would be the same 30 days later as it would be that day. That was a lie. I was charged interest starting the moment I walked out of his office. To make matters worse, I never received a bill. When I called the dealership to request the payoff information, they told me the first payment wasn't due until May 20. That, too, was false. It's now May 12, and I've already missed a payment and have been accruing interest daily. This dealership cannot be trusted. We were here to use the fast electric charger on the Blink Network for our rental car. Considering it was at a car dealership, we expected no help when we encountered problems. We got help (because the Blink app was not easy to use), and the car started charging. We went inside the dealership and were pleasantly surprised to find a little sandwich shop (I believe it is new). We were welcomed to buy lunch and sit in a very welcoming atmosphere while the car charged. After an hour, we realized something was wrong, and decided to charge elsewhere. The general manager (Mr. Sullivan) was speaking to the sandwich shop operators, and asked me what I thought of it. The conversation went to the fact that we were leaving because the Blink network was inaccessible to us. He offered to charge our rental car (remember, we are out-of-towners so unlikely to be able to benefit him), because we should not have that frustration. So, while I can't comment on the car dealership itself, I can say that this is the kind of business where I feel welcomed and valued. read more

Took elderly parent here based on a great price on a loaner vehicle. They honored the price they gave her online and waived their add-on package. All good so far. Then the bomb drops when they presented their offer for the trade-in. After receiving 3 offers from other dealerships which ranged between $39k and $40k, Bill Currie offered $31k. What????? The market price of the vehicle was somewhere in the neighborhood of $46k-$49k. The manager tried to convince me that he had to offer the low number based on the deal we were getting on the front end and that because they were a Ford dealership, they would not be able to get market value for our trade because it was a non-Ford brand. So I asked him if I did not trade the vehicle and sold it myself, would they honor the selling price we agreed on for us to buy their car with no trade. He said yes. Huh??? We ended up leaving. Being industry educated, I cannot understand the manager's thought process on this one other than straight up greed. We were upside down on the trade, but had they offered us market trade-in value, we were going to cut a check to cover the balance. They would have had a profit margin of at least $6k-$7k if they had offered us market value for our trade-in. Instead they lost a deal. I hope the GM sees this and blows a gasket. Purchased a used Mazda from Bill Currie Ford and returned for a free oil change 5000 miles later. I supplied a OEM Mazda oil filter that I had purchased from a Mazda dealership. And while the person at the service counter assured me that it would not be a problem to use a customer supplied oil filter 5000 miles later when I changed the oil the car had a non-Mazda Parts Plus oil filter. So I brought it back and went with another one they had one the lot. My question to the sales rep was, is there anything I need to know about this vehicle. His response everything is fine. He didn't tell me the car had a new engine replaced because of problems. As soon as I took home it started to smoke. Took it to another dealership and still having the same issue. I'll start by saying I hate giving less than 4 stars, with that said. I left the service department disappointed because the problem that I made an appointment for was not fixed or even looked at. When I made my appointment, I made it clear that the reason I was bringing my F-150 to the dealership was to address a 'blind spot'/collision warning light/error code that was illuminated on the dash. I was told I would need to leave my truck with the service department for the day in order to have this issue addressed. I was informed by my service advisor that they may not have the part on hand to fix the problem, but we could figure out what was wrong and get it on order. I also asked for an oil change and a tire rotation since they would have it all day. I dropped my truck off at 8:40am for its 9:00 am appointment. Around 4 pm I called to check the status of my vehicle and was informed that nothing had been done (not even the oil change and tire rotation). My advisor said my truck was next to get the oil changed and would be ready for me to pickup when I got off work at 5pm. The service advisor was nice and offered me an opportunity to come back to the dealer in the morning and once again drop off my truck for a chance to have the problem diagnosed (not fixed, just diagnosed). I'm probably not going back in the morning, because on top of the problem I made the appointment for, not being addressed, my truck was dirtier than it was when I dropped it off. That is just a bad look customer service wise. Not only was the scheduled work not accomplished, but it (the truck) looked like it had been driven through the mud (and this is how you give it back to a customer?). Seth Kalman needs a course in customer service, big time! I brought my 2018 F150 with 106,000 miles due to a PCM on recall and a hard "thunk" in gears reving up and then kicking in on cold starts. The issue goes away after the transmission temp heats up. I had been reading that the PCM reset would fix the problem. We will see tomorrow as I have not had a cold restart yet since just picking up my truck. Seth immediately said that the PCM was not related to the issue I explained. He didn't even check with a scan tool to find any error codes. He quickly asked if my check engine light came on. I said a wrench light illuminated and he said yes, that's what I mean and that I needed a completely new transmission. I asked how much that would cost. He said around 10k. I was shocked. Seth was rude, tried to power over me, and said a technician would not be able to look at my truck for at least 4 days and he would contact me. Then it would be longer to fix because they were very backed up. I changed my mind after agreeing to getting the transmission fixed and called and spoke to Charlene. She said no problem and truck would be ready in a few hours after PCM is reprogrammed. Didn't hear back. Had my secretary call, and Charlene put her on hold to check on the truck. Seth picked up the phone and said, "what?". My secretary identified herself and inquired about my truck. Seth curtly said it would not be ready until tomorrow. When she told me this, I confirmed his rude, pushy, cocky treatment of me this morning with her. I called Charlene back and she pushed to have the truck back to me this afternoon as she originally promised. It was ready when I arrived. Someone I knew who worked there under his breath said Seth is from New York and that's the way he does business. Well, he's going to lose many customers who do business with Bill Currie Ford if they have to work with him and his extremely cocky, rude, pushy, and demeaning behavior. Totally unacceptable, Seth Kalman. If I was your supervisor I would have fired you the way you treated my secretary and me today. Visited Bill Currie website on 3/16 @4:00 pm, located a vehicle, sold myself on vehicle. On Monday 3/17 visited Bill Currie dealership on Dale Mabry @3:50 pm and guess what? Vehicle is not available. That is correct, the Bronco advertised on website on 3/16 is NOT available on 3/17. Alex, The extremely unprofessional manager, just said Bronco not available; refused to take responsibility for a clear false advertisement and asked me to leave. I asked to speak w a Currie (owner) was told not here. Why was listing still up on website? Why was listing not updated when Bronco was "placed in service"? Used their website to find a new F150 and called and spoke with sales on purchasing the vehicle. They offered a trade in value and sale price of the vehicle. Drove 60 miles to buy the vehicle and the trade in value was reduced 2,500 dollars from what was ageed upon. I have never experienced the lack of integrity when purchasing a Ford. As a X plan customer I have always experienced a seamless purchase until today! After leaving the dealership the sales manager calls and is sarcastic and mocked the fact that I mentioned Henry Ford giving friends and family the reduced price. "Oh he's still alive." What I dont get is, how the regular customer who is trying to meet their transport needs on a budget ever puts up with that film flammery! Purchased an F250 a year ago from Bill Currie Ford on Dale Mabry in Tampa. We initially had an issue with the finance guy when he wanted to give us a loan with a higher interest rate than what we were pre-qualified for from the same financial institution. We had to call Grow because he was swaying us to their finance terms and not budging on the rate even though we told him we were pre-qualified from the same bank and had arranged our own financing. We loved the truck, so we bought it but were not happy with the pressure from the finance experience. So fast forward now on to the oil change... got a call from Bill Currie Ford that it was time for an oil change although we don't drive on a regular basis and the oil looked good. They kept calling us claiming they were getting notifications from Ford, and they said they could come to us that way we wouldn't have to worry about the wait and their service department quoted $160.00. Now I'm a female and have NO IDEA how much an oil change on an F250 would cost. I asked if the price included all fees and she said yes. They showed up and after the job was done told me the cost was $227.53. I told the service techs that's not what they quoted, soon after I get a call from their office that there is nothing, they can do about it - the girl who booked it must have made a mistake, and she will talk with the service staff. You will have to pay the $227.53, I told them this was a 'bait & switch' and I would never use their service again. So, for those of you booking mobile service or buying a vehicle from Bill Currie Ford on Dale Mabry, Tampa - do your research and know what the rates are currently, as well as getting mobile service costs in writing. I have certainly learned my lesson. That's strike 2 for Bill Currie Ford and why I am making people aware of the poor business practice from this dealership. read more

This dealership is unethical. I have attached screenshots of the conversation between myself and a sales employee at Bill Currie Ford. Additionally I have attached the reply to this situation from BCF in which they gaslight and victim blame. Bill Currie Ford contacted me about buying back my car.  I was offered $3,000.00 for my car, which I accepted.  Upon arrival at Bill Currie, the same sales employee took my D.L. and reemerged several minutes later to say that there was a miscommunication.  He could only pay me $500.00 cash or $3,300.00 on a trade in.  ($3,000.00 is no longer an offer at all, so how did this get miscommunicated?) This took time out of my work day to come down to the dealership to make this deal and it wound up costing me additional time and additional money. In my opinion, this was an intentional bait and switch.  Given the attached text conversation, I cannot believe that there was a simple miscommunication.  The "negotiation" went on for 2 days with multiple confirmations over what was happening.   A 600% miscommunication in a sales department is either sheer unethical ignorance or maliciousness.  Bill Currie Ford can decide which of the two it is. I will no longer use Bill Currie Ford for any sale or service to my current vehicle, and will no longer consider Ford as an option for future vehicle purchases. read more
