Well, fortunately BOTH of these proved to be 100% accurate; as I was in and out with my new truck in less than 1.5hrs after a clear, concise, to the point, ZERO BS fees, or "surprises" deal. Service Adviser Arleen Pegoda was nice but not courteous. Her overall attitude was very nonchalant and it felt like doing her job was a bother. The overall opinion of the service department was very unprofessional. Dressed, however they chose to dress shorts jeans, no professional demeanor, eating a snack tray in the middle of the service department obviously, Bill Fick has a corner on the market in Huntsville. My vehicle engine blew up at 12,000 miles. They had the vehicle for over 20 days and when I ask if they were able to clean the vehicle just wash the exterior they were very put out. We only wash new vehicles was the response from the service advisor. Definitely would not recommend Bill Fick Ford. read more

I took my Ford F-150 in for service due to a and strange noise from the engine compartment. The service department had my truck for an entire week. I never received a explaining the problem. After a week I finally called and was advised that the noise was the air conditioner idler pulley. The Cost to Replace the idler pulley and the belt was to be $912. I thought this to be excessive, so I notified the service Advisor not to do the work. I went to pick up my truck and as I Drove it home I noticed the air conditioner not cooling and by the time I got back home the truck was overheating. I parked, lifted the hood and discovered there was no belt. I called the service advisor There was no belt. He checks with the technician and found that the technician failed to put the belt back on. The Service Advisor told me if I bring the truck back they would Put the belt back on. When asked if they would cover the cost of a tow they refused. They wanted me to drive the truck back without a belt therefore causing it to overheat again. I contacted a local repair shop to get an estimate on having the idler pulley and belt replaced. I want this review to deliver a clear message that their are some shenanigans going on at this place. I'm not saying everyone there is bad or crooked but I am saying, that my truck came in because of vandalism and the insurance company paid their portion and I paid mine. After being there for 3 months, because they couldn't find parts. So the insurance company had to tell the dealership where to go get parts for my vehicle. You heard that right. Vandals destroyed the interior of my vehicle as well as took items off engine and did something to the transmission. Got a call, from Bill Fick Ford that the new steering wheel column mechanism was not engaging. The did a diagnostic to figure out why. At some point they figured it out and said it was the throttle body and they replaced it. Sometimes later, I called them and was told the vehicle is ready. When I get there the truck won't start and he had to use jump box. However, I noticed that the batteries in my truck were not mine! I had just purchased 2 Everlast AGM batteries from Walmart. These were Delco batteries that wouldn't start my truck without a jump. My gas was almost completely gone, for half to three-fourths full. There were other things as well but then my truck wouldn't go into 4 wheel drive upon me inspecting it. What I'm saying is very clear. If a diagnostic was done why didn't they detect that when they did diagnosis of transmission? I very frustrated about my vehicle being here and I can't wait to get get out and away from here! Are there some good workers here...of course, but there are some not so good workers as well. You know what I mean, but this is just my own opinion on what I went through. My mother purchased her new 2020 Explorer from Houston; there was/is a recall for the back up camera. We ent to Bill Fick Ford after calling and they sounding so excited to repair it for us. My mother took it in for the repair to Bill Fickl - and they stated they repaired it. a week later the blue screen. We called and asked to get some answers - and recived none. "Bring it back,,,,," "Did you hit it on something...." etc. Why would I have my mother do that when you failed to be compentant the first time. I get no returned calls from those who are supposedly in charge; Rene-Director, or Alan Service Manager. So I will contact Ford, as I should have done after the first week of run around. I have my thoughts on the reason behind this - same belief why when we first attempted to purchase the vehicle here she was treated like her credit was less than 300 - and it is over 800. I am writing this because we have different last names and this will not reflect on her, even those we share other similarities. 2021 or 1821, not sure these days. (I was told by some people of a more majority community within Huntsville they were like this here. I have always try to give people the benefit of the doubt and have my own expierences....well they were right it seems) I would not purchase from here or have anything serviced here. read more

Used to be good under Moore-Henry Motors brand, even the Hawkman was better as Hillcrest Ford; the service department caused every problem I've ever had on my vehicle, and they were supposed to be doing recalls. The parents that manage the service department allow their son to act as "little boy king," treating only those he chooses to magnanimously give a smile or help to, any of his time - with a huff. I've watched him condescend others, my own elderly family, and others I've never met. I recently bought a new Ford - in another city altogether. I wont even let them change my oil here as they've messed up my vehicle doing that as well - blaming anything they can on each other or me...nice. Their body shop is a saving grace - fast and friendly service every time without a doubt, and they (rightfully) stand by their work. The body shop is worth the effort if that's what is needed. I dont know about sales personally, only what my family has gone through and it's terrible. I imagine, being a city of 45,000-ish, this business is the best Ford dealership, because it's the only Ford dealership in the locality. We take ours elsewhere for any service. read more

Let me begin by saying that used car prices are beyond outrageous. But if people are willing to buy them, then that's on the buyer. I had picked out a used truck for our business. After giving further consideration, I decided to order a new vehicle instead. I learned that by ordering the vehicle direct from the manufacturer, I would only pay the MSRP. That's a fair exchange. Marking a vehicle up well over MSRP by the dealer is just greed (in my opinion). Upon informing my sales rep that I wanted to order a new truck, I was texted "Can you find me a buyer for the one I held for you?" As if, buyers never change their mind or go in a different direction when financial savings are presented. It would be ridiculous to pay within 12-17% of of a new vehicle price for one thats 3 years older, used, and far less features. For a sales rep to convey such a response is extremely unprofessional. I found his comments extremely rude and contradictory of what he had said to me when I was first inquiring about a truck. I received the hard sale (which doesn't bother me, I won't be bullied) and was told I should hurry, because these trucks are flying off the lot. Considering he was now asking me to find him a buyer, is indicative of the types sales tactics utilized by this person. I immediately canceled the new truck I wanted to order and proceeded to Planet Ford, where I have purchased my last 5 vehicles. They took excellent care of me and showed me the MSRP on the new vehicle I wanted. I also got the color and features I wanted. A much more financially responsible and advantageous decision. I understand a sales representative must close sales, but to utilize such tactics that contradict prior statements, insult, or project guilt to the customer, is not the type of person Or company's I wish to do business with. This review represents my experience with a sales representative of Bill Fick Ford. I have had no other business dealings with them. I will not be doing business with them in the future. David and all of the staff went way above and beyond to help my parents out. They even allowed my mother to take the vehicle to see if my father (who has limited mobility) could get in and out of it easily. They understood that I'm highly protective of my parents and they allowed me to take care of the money side even though I was several hundred miles away. Took my Ford Ranger in because it stopped running. They replaced sparkplugs, wires and coil because it hadn't been tuned up since it was new. (Bought used). Mech assured me it would run. But they had to keep it for two more days because it wouldn't run. Said they found water in the gas tank (90%). Hmmm,, Drained, cleaned tank and gassed up,($1100), Ran for 3 days, then could barely get it back to them, same problem. Was told it was a "sending unit". ($500) plus installation ($400). A sending unit is attached to the fuel pump. A new warrantied fuel pump is $170. Why would a small part of the pump be $500? Took truck home, did some research and found a sending unit only tells how much gas is in the tank. Has nothing to do with how the truck runs. Could have spent $900 for parts and service and still wouldn't run right. They will never see me again... even if they give me new truck. read more

Bought my F250 brand new in 2015 from Bill Fick. I've had it in Fick's body shop and service department multiple times. I have NEVER been impressed with either. There is no attention to detail. My radiatior still leaks as it did before I had my whole front end fixed as part of an insurance job. They've painted my door handle and rear corner of my bed. One has dirt/dust particles under paint while the other is streaky. The most infuriating part is I take my truck to them for an aliagnment to get rid of my death wobble. Without my truck for the day and a charge to my charge I get my truck back with no change in the wobble. Had my brakes changed at a small shop later on and they pointed out the issue for free and offered up advice. Something Bill Ficks dealership has never done for me. It's always " ok, ready to pay? After working with 4 other dealers in the Houston area, I was so frustrated, I had considered purchasing a vehicle in my home state and having it transported to Texas. None of the other dealers could provide me with the best rebates, or the out the door price. In some instances, there seemed to be hidden fees buried in the price, but I couldn't get anyone to give me and ou the door price with tax and license fees. Technicians here don't seem to know how to fix something that doesn't give them a code they're familiar with. Had my 2006 Mustang GT go into "limp" mode in Huntsville on my way home. Tried what I could sitting at Autozone in Huntsville (they were great) and decided I didn't have the tools I needed on me to work on it. Since I live 100 miles away, I decided to have it towed to the dealership (first time to be in a dealership for a non-warranty repair in 15+ years of owning this car) instead of bringing tools with me from home only to find that I didn't have the one I needed. Informed the service dept. of the error codes it was giving (throttle stuck closed) and requested a call before they swapped parts or to at least leave the old parts inside the car. Was called 2 days later and told that the technician could not fix it and had traced the issue to either the throttle body (which I told them that when I dropped it off) or the PCM and to come get my car as neither of these parts were available from Ford. Also that they could not access the PCM (even though I could with a tuner on the side of the road.) Rented a car trailer and came to get my car and was informed it was $140 for their troubleshooting time even though they only found the same things I had told them when I dropped it off. Hauled the car home, hooked up laptop with FORScan, took readings with my Fluke meter and found no issues with the PCM. Did more testing on the throttle body and found that throttle body motor was no longer strong enough to open the throttle against the spring tension causing the position sensor to set the stuck closed error. This was much easier having a meter, laptop and any tool I needed available. Called local Ford company and found that this throttle body was STILL in stock with Ford but would have to be ordered. I decided I had given Ford enough money on this so I bought an aftermarket throttle body motor, swapped it out, clocked the spring, reset the PCM (which Bill Fick Ford could not do) and started the car. No issues and car runs like new again. If you need an oil change, they might be able to do it (oil change guys helped me get car on trailer) but if it's something that requires ANY troubleshooting or automotive knowledge, you'll be better off taking your vehicle anywhere but here. read more

Abuse of the Elderly: My mother was recommended this dealership by her car insurance agency back in 2012. She took her car for repairs and was pleased with the result of the paint repair she received. A few weeks ago she contacted them because the paint on her hood is beginning to chip. Gordon, in the service department, agreed to re-paint her hood. She took the car to the dealership and they called her and asked her how to open her hood. Then the dealership called back to inform her that they were able to get the hood open. When she got into her car, after the hood was re-paired (for the second time), she noticed her hood latch was on the floor in the back seat. She informed them they broke her hood but they ignored her! My mother calls me and tells me she is unable to open her hood. I call Gordon which states he was not aware of this (which I believe is a lie.) Gordon informed me to just have my mother bring the car in and they will take a look at it. She took the car in the next day and they "rigged" the handle to open one time and it fell off soon as she drove back into her driveway in Crockett, Texas. I called the dealership and left a message for Gordon. Kevin calls back. I explained to him what happened he told me, "it was my word against his and my mom has had previous oil changes which broke the handle." The dealership has been given multiple times to correct their error. As of this day, my mom is still unable to open the hood of her car. If she is stuck somewhere and need a boost, she will not be able to access the battery or any other parts under her hood. My mother is a retired, God-fearing woman that uses her vehicle to help people in nursing homes and their homes by bring them food and supplies. This is abuse of a 65 year old woman who is helpless in defending herself. read more

I have owned 10 Ford's over the last 20 years. By far, Bill Fick is the best dealership I have ever dealt with for both Purchase and Service of my vehicles...and that's "no bull". The owner (Bill Fick) is nearly always present and on the floor of the dealership, which I believe differentiates these guys from the 'Chain' dealerships throughout Houston. I have found my expectations for dealer service lowered over the years and have been pleasantly surprised on each visit. I have not bought a car from them or had them do maintenance on my vehicle, however annually I take my car in for its inspection and they put my blue registration sticker in straight above the inspection sticker. Most places either won't do that or can't see straight. The simple fact that they do this is why I come here. Sounds silly, but after I go through the hassle of peeling out both stickers and cleaning up the residue with acetone on a paper towel, I appreciate their timeliness in the inspection and the courtesy of placing both stickers in straight. I hope one day Texas does away with one or both stickers. read more

I'm traveling from Colorado, pulling a 5th wheel RV, and staying at Huntsville State Park, when the check engine light came on in my 2012 F-350. I called the Bill Fick Ford service department at 12:30 in the afternoon and spoke with Arleen. She said they were really busy, but I could come in that afternoon and they could try to get a diagnosis for me. I got there at about 1:00 and although I was offered transportation back to the park, I took a seat in the waiting room. Fifteen minutes later, Arleen came in to tell me that they had found the problem and it was going to be about an hour before they got the problem resolved. I was more than a little surprised. Some 45 minutes later Arleen can into the waiting room and said they were done. Then I saw the bill.... No charge, zero dollars, nothing!! There was some extended warranty/recall for the part and it covered everything! In my experience, it is just out of the realm of possibility that you could call a dealership, get your vehicle in for diagnosis, get it repaired, get back on the road in the space of two hours, and not get charged a dime! Fast forward 2 years. My truck broke down and I use it for work. I call Jeremy again knowing this would be a hard deal to do but thought he would try. After 4 days not hearing from him I called. Voice mail. Waited 15 min called again. Voice mail. Immediately got got a text saying he was with a customer would call later . 4 more days no call. I have the service on the Explorer done there and a set of new tires and we live 500 miles away. Due to the. The only issue I had was when I told them I would be there around 5, I was told my car would be done...it was not done yet. It only took a minute though. Beyond that, I dropped my car off for service on Friday somewhat unsure of what the issue could be. While these guys could have told me it was something other than it was and made more money, they instead checked over areas of concern and did a simple balance and rotation, and only charged me for the balance and rotation. My issues were a check engine light that was likely a vapor emissions deal with the gas cap (I suspected that already), my car was pulling (regardless of wind or road tread) to differing sides at differing times and was vibrating. Also, on hills, my car would get 'jumpy'. Myself and others figured it was bad plugs or the transmission. It was only that Discount Tire did not do a balance last time I got 2 new tires...which resulted in a lot of bad vibration and caused my car to jump around. These guys at Bill Fick fixed my issue and only charged me for the balance. That is great service...I would suggest to give call backs if something is taking longer, but other than that...a great place! read more
