But this week I went to get a quote for the oval shaped Toyota emblem for my grill (approximately 7 inch wide and 4 inches tall). The emblem itself is $404 and installation is $580. $989 for a Toyota emblem for my grill. All but $1000 to replace an emblem on a truck that may go for $25K to $30K. I didn't have an appointment and my car was sitting at 9,922 miles, but we were talking a big trip, and I feel more comfortable with a car recently service. My service advisory,Nicole, took great care of me. There's always paperwork, but this process was really fast. The service area is spacious and immaculate. All the service people are professional. The waiting room is comfortable. There is a restaurant and a refreshment room. There are phone chargers and TVs to pass the time They really know how to take care of a customer. read more

We arrived at 9:25 this morning to get the 4 Runner we bought from Bill Wright when it was still "Bill Wright" its every 5,000 mile service. it's 1:35 and we're STILL waiting. I had to go and track down our "couldn't care less" service writer and ask him when we'd get our car back. He said our car should be next and we'd ought to have it in an hour or so. The TVs don't work right and you have to ask the parts guys to put HGTV back on the TV next to them off the horror movie and back to what's supposed to be playing. I was traveling from San Diego to Sacramento and had an odd noise in my Toyota. It was a Saturday and I did not expect Toyota to be open. I called Bill Wright Toyota Saturday morning and they said if I could be there by 10 they would try and fit it in to look at it. I had it there by 10 and they called me back at 2 o'clock saying it was ready to pick up. I was quoted $212 to diagnose and look over my car. They were unable to find a problem, which was not a surprise to me as I'm a mechanic and doubted anything would show up, I just wanted to make sure that there was nothing obvious wrong with the car, To my surprise when I picked up the car, they didn't charge me anything. Today and the last time ever going there, checked my car in at 10:54am, again for a routine service and was told there was also a recall. Absolutely no consideration for people's time. Had an appointment for an oil change and alignment at 9:40, husband got here at 9:30, got checked in and waited. Service advisor, Eric called me at 11:15 that they were backed up and was gonna be another 30-45 minutes (so 12pm) husband didn't get out until 1ish. He left and all good, right? Wrong. As soon as he left and started driving he noticed our RAV was still pulling to the left so he drove it right back, plus they left tools inside. I ended up going and switching places with him because he had things to do. So in sitting here at 3pm writing this review, phone about to die and still haven't gotten my vehicle. Was planning to travel out of town at 3 but now i highly doubt that. I also highly doubt the alignment was done to begin with or wasn't done right but did manage to charge me for it without even checking it themselves. Now another service advisor said he's going to make sure all is good and drive it to make sure. Not sure I trust them at this point. SO FRUSTRATED!! I took my 2024 (yes, essentially new) Corolla Cross to Bill Wright service in October 2024 for a warning light about the air bags. Their technicians took 6 hours to diagnose "rodent damage" as the problem (we won't even get into why car manufacturers are still making wires that are tasty to rodents, a known problem) and said I would need to replace the entire wiring harness for $8,694.25. I have no way of knowing if this was the correct diagnosis, although my local mechanic laughed when I said they'd replaced the entire harness instead of the lead to the airbags, but the work was completed, I paid my $1,000 insurance deductible, and went to pick up my car on October 30. That almost didn't happen because a technician had taken my car key home in their pocket (not a professional move) but after an hour's delay the key appeared and home I went. Over the next couple days I noticed a series of small things that were no longer working correctly on the car: tires rubbing somewhere on sharp turns, windshield wipers hitting the windshield frame, automatic night setting on the tech screen no longer working, floor heater not working properly, backup camera misaligned. None of these were big issues but none of them had existed when I dropped the car off for service. They needed to be fixed after the big wiring harness transplant. Since November, I have called the service writer, Napoleon, TEN TIMES at Wright Toyota. He has called me back ONCE and said he'd have to ask his boss if I could have a loaner car to drive while they fixed the things that THEY BROKE when replacing the wiring harness. As of today, January 10, 2025 I have received no other communication from the service writer or the company. They are completely ignoring me and apparently planning to blow off fixing the things THEY BROKE when servicing my car. We all know that customer service, and anything automotive, have gone downhill since Covid, but this is ridiculous. TEN calls from me and no move towards fixing what Wright Toyota damaged? Wright Toyota simply does not care. If Wright would spend more time on actual customer service, rather than pestering customers to rate them on their customer service, it would be a vast improvement. While there may or may not be any competent and ethical car dealers left these days, I can suggest that Bill Wright Toyota, as far as service goes, is certainly not one of the good ones. I was highly disappointed with my visit today. I should have read the reviews before choosing this Toyota service center. Today I was there from 10 a.m. to approximately 1:30 p.m. I was here so long that I had to have a phone charger dropped off to me, and because of this charger, I noticed my car was already parked out front, ready to go, and I was still waiting inside with the service advisor. My overall biggest complaint is at the beginning when I was asked if I wanted my car washed, I specifically said no! Well, when I found my car outside while grabbing the charger, I noticed my car was wet. Once I was finally called in to meet with the advisor for my paperwork, I asked if they had washed my car, and she said yes. My vehicle had just been detailed the day before, and that money just went down the drain since they ran my car through their car wash. She offered to send staff to dry it off better, but at this point the damage had been done, and I was ready to leave. My car was detailed by professionals, and nothing they could have done would return it to the condition in which it had arrived. Additionally, I was quoted $244 for a battery and ended up paying less than half the price at a local, reputable business. They also didn't bother to program the "maintenance reminder" on my screen, so it is still coming up when the vehicle is turned on. I hope that the other Toyota service center in Bakersfield is better than Bill Wright Toyota as I will not be returning here. read more

The radiator needed replacing on our 2004 Sequoia. When we picked up the car we were informed that none of the hoses had been replaced! They are original parts so 20 years old. I've bought numerous vehicles from Bill Wright Toyota over the years, a Corolla, a platinum Tundra and two platinum Sequoias. Bought a 4Runner TRD in May 2024 from a different Toyota dealership because they couldn't beat the price. Went to Bill Wright this weekend to look at purchasing a loaded Tacoma and met one of the sales reps, NICK PEREZ, this guy has to be one of the pushiest/sleeziest sales reps, the kind that comes to mind when you think about a car salesman. I am a physician and have bought many vehicles, this was one of the worst salesmen I have dealt with, he started with going on and on about leaving a $500 deposit to put a hold on an incoming vehicle I hadn't even seen, which I did, he never gave me a receipt for the deposit. The final straw was when we were leaving, after I had already left a $500 deposit in the vehicle, was when I asked for the spec sheet and the interest rate/payment options we had just discussed he asks "why, so you can go shop around some more." I walked out with any paperwork on a $55,000 vehicle I was trying to buy. After that interaction, I went to the Chevrolet dealership and bought a new Colorado Z2 (which actually beat Tacoma in a head-to-head match up in Motor Trends). My wife went back to Bill Wright to get our deposit back, they then said everyone was gone that could process it but they would make a note for the people that process and that I could check back on Wednesday (it was Saturday) and see if it was processed. Service Advisor Napoleon needs to be retrained on customer service. As soon as I sat down in front of him, he picks up his phone and does not greet or make any attempt to acknowledge me. It was an awkward 2 whole minutes until he said anything as he was on his phone. He did not look up or even make eye contact whatsoever. THIS IS NOT OK!!! I contacted Toyota yesterday to get quoted for a transmission flush, the rep over the phone looked up my account & even thanked me for being a loyal customer. The rep quoted me for $198 for a transmission flush service which I thought was reasonable, so I had him proceed to book me an appointment. The appointment was at 9:15am today(Saturday). I got to Toyota at 9:15am, maybe a min or two earlier to find myself waiting to be checked in almost 30 mins later (9:45am). What's the point of making an appointment, if I still have to wait in line with my car with the "walk ins"?! Javier Hernandez (service advisor) checked me in & before I left my car to be serviced, I confirmed with him how much the service was going to cost me & he advised me $306. I expressed that the rep over the phone advised me $198 and that's why I booked an appointment. I was told my car would be done in 4 hours. I was then contacted at 3:31pm (about 6 hours) to come get my car because they closed at 4. No courtesy call prior to advise me it would take longer than what was told. I feel so scammed and so frustrated with Javier & Toyota. First and foremost, if the rep had my account up with all my info why would he quote me at $198 instead of $306 that Javier stated was a mistake on the rep's end. I wouldn't waste my time making an appointment or even coming in had I known or brought my business elsewhere especially if I was going to be taken advantage of. Secondly, a courtesy call or some type of notification would've been nice if it wasn't going to be done in 4 hours so I could've planned my day accordingly. Third, to call me less than half an hour to come pick up my car because they're going to close. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I felt like the service advisor was not very communicative with us, in fact as we waited we felt like he was trying to avoid us. When I attempted to get a shuttle and asked the cashiers I found them to be extremely rude. Even after checking out with the cashiers they were acting as if we were a nuisance interrupting their Toch time. We have several other vehicles that we go to other service departments in town and I feel like Bill wright Toyota doesn't have the best customer service writers in their department! I gave them a three because the waiting area is very nice and it's also nice that they have a restaurant inside their facility that you can eat while you wait. I went in for an oil change on my 2019 Toyota 4Runner Limited at 7:20 in the morning on a Tuesday. They didn't seem busy and said they would have my vehicle out right away. An hour + later, I noticed my vehicle sitting in the parking lot, waiting for me. I wait, patiently, for the serviceman to ask him if there is something I need to do since this is my first (and last) time using Bill Wright Toyota. He tells me I will have to get the paperwork so I can pay for it then pick up the keys. I ask around to see who has the paperwork. While I am waiting (again) to see who has the paperwork another customer says "It is always this way, my car is done and the girl who is supposed to do the paperwork is talking about her personal life while a line of people are waiting." I finally, get my paperwork, pay for the service, get my keys. Only to discover oily smudges on the leather of the driver's side door. Then I discover two oily hand prints on the hood, where they had closed it. I also find a full on oily, handprint on the rear driver's side door. I called to speak with the service manager, but of course he is busy and never returned my call. I will NEVER return to Bill Wright. The first impression was enough to convince me they are not capable of doing a good job. read more

This is just a review for fixing my tail light I have never been here for any other service since it is a Toyota and they really don't have have issues. The waiting room was very clean and spread out so everybody was socially distanced. My only problem was the bathroom were out of service so I had to get a ride to leave just use the restroom down the street at Starbucks. So make sure you go before you get here. They used to be great. These days, not. Making an appointment over the phone is a frustrating experience. The person I spoke to needed some customer service training. I took a car in for an oil change, with an appointment, that was quoted as 45 minutes to an hour. I was there for 3 hours. Turns out they changed my appointment from an oil change to a 10k service without telling me. Next try. Another appointment, for an oil change again quoted 45 min to an hour. I get there and ask to confirm the time frame, as I'm on a schedule. I'm told they're at a 2 hour turnaround. And told that there's a recall. If they won't make the appointment without getting the car's VIN, then why wasn't I asked about that at the time I made the appointment? For this level of service, I could go to any other lube shop or mechanic in town, probably get in and out faster, and definitely for less money. So disappointed. I used to be such a Toyota fan. My alternator gave out halfway home from my trip to Yosemite and I wouldn't have made it home. Bill Wright happened to be close by and I stopped to get it checked out so I wouldn't be stranded on the side of the freeway. I had an amazing experience through Estella the service advisor and Chris the technician along with all the other staff I came across. They were very helpful, informative, resourceful, and very nice. They helped me with getting rental, along with working with my extended warranty to have the alternator ordered and changed quickly. They kept me updated and kept my car until I could pick it up. Took my 2019 4Runner in last Friday for service which also included a safety recall. My appointment time was right on the dot, I left for a few hours until they called me that it was ready and then I was on my way. It was a painless experience. Fast forward a few days later I was having some minor issues so I called up Thomas to tell him about it. Without hesitation he asked me to drop it back off that same day. He got me in and got his guys right on it. By the time I was going to get off work the service center was going to be closed so Thomas offered to leave my truck at the sales center down the street. Once I picked up my vehicle not only did they fix the issue, they also detailed my truck and filled up the gas tank! A noise developed from the area of the passenger side front end of my Corolla as I was traveling north from LA. There was a scraping/friction noise that emanated during hard right turns, and a clicking/rattle that evolved while driving. Bill Wright Toyota was the closest dealership. Service advisor Stephen Mendez approached and I explained what I understood to be going on. He listened attentively and asked questions to make sure he understood what I thought the problem was. He was friendly, courteous, professional and within that constraint made the interaction seem as if I had a friend at the service department to whom I brought my car issue. He explained the diagnostic process, the associated diagnostic fee, and what would happen once the technician investigated the problem relative to any parts/labor etc. Stephen explained it simply and efficiently. I felt I had a complete understanding of the procedure and cost implications. He pointed out the various amenities in the immediate area if I chose not to wait in the service area. As i was would be waiting onsite, he pointed out the accommodations in the spacious waiting area with its multiple TV screens cafe, parts department, restrooms and charge ports for electronic devices. The problem was identified and resolved in about 90 minutes. Stephen explained that the tech had found a portion of tree branch I had run over that had jammed itself into the front suspension and brake assembly on the passenger side. He explained the work the tech did to remove the branch and the subsequent integrity check the tech performed on the suspension elements (tightening to torque spec a loose connector and re-torquing to spec the other connectors in the suspension apparatus.) With no additional parts required the world was covered under the diagnostic fee and I was on the road again. Top marks to Stephen, the Tech the staff with whom I interacted during this impromptu visit. Based on this experience I would have no problem coming here for service or recommending the service department. read more

We took our 13 year old car in for it's very first repair, a squealing noise under the hood . Our service writer Dennis Zuniga was great and very helpful. He called later in the day and gave an estimate of $1,100 to replace the alternator and per my request the belts and an oil change . When I picked it up the bill was less than quoted.
