I can't say enough good things about Bill's Upholstery in Brea. I was having an issue with my driver's seat where only one side of the power seat track would move, causing the seat to become misaligned and making it impossible to adjust properly. I was worried it would be an expensive repair. I brought my car in, and within about 20 minutes he diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and had me back on the road. I took my vehicle to have the center rear seat bottom and seat back reupholstered in the original leather. Initially, I was very pleased with the craftsmanship and appearance of the finished work. However, about a week later, while cleaning my car, I discovered that the rear seat bottom was loose and literally floating in place. It had not been properly secured to the vehicle. The seat was neither snapped into the retaining clips nor bolted to the rear metal frame. I found the mounting bolt lying on the floor of the vehicle. When I tried to reinstall the seat myself, I discovered that both plastic retaining clips had been broken during the installation. I had to purchase two replacement clips online. I also discovered the original mounting bolt was missing, so after being unable to find a suitable replacement at Home Depot, I ordered a new OEM bolt. Unfortunately, even with the replacement bolt, I still couldn't properly secure the seat because it appears a longer bolt is needed. At this point, the rear seat remains unsecured, creating a serious safety hazard. In the event of an accident, the seat could easily come loose from the vehicle's frame, potentially causing injury. Considering the amount I paid for this upholstery work, I expected the owner to inspect the finished job before returning my vehicle. The upholstery itself looks great, but the installation and quality control were unacceptable. A properly installed rear seat is a basic safety requirement, and this should never have been overlooked. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. While the craftsmanship of the leather work was good, the lack of attention to detail and poor quality control left me extremely disappointed. read more

Great job repairing the torn leather seat in my Mazda. I took my car in one day without a reservation and they had my car seat looking brand new by the next morning. It matches perfectly with my other seat. So impressed. If I had one suggestion- get a doorbell or a" ring bell for service " as I had to flag down someone from the work area to come help me when I went in to the establishment. Was lucky to come across this shop during my search for upholstery repair for my perforated car seat. Repeat customer - I got another Tesla Model 3 and this was the first place I thought about getting my ceramic windows tinted again. Unfortunately, the day before my appointment a friend of mine vomited in the backseat of my car. I called them to see if they could help, and they said they offer car detailing too. The headliner on our old Saturn had totally fallen apart. Pieces of it were hanging down. Tried some headliner adhesive, but it was just too far gone. The rest of the car is in great shape, so it just looked really trashy inside. It made me not want to drive it. The drivers visor was also in really bad shape. I was tired of cussing at my poor fur babies every-time I vacuumed out my jeep so I took it to Willie and explained my dilemma to him. He fabricated the most AWESOME liner for my Rubicon's cargo area! My jeep has always been the dog-mobile anyway and I usually have my tumble seat out to haul a couple of german shepherds around anyway. Willie lined the inside AND created a removable deck so no more lost dog toys rolling under the front seats! To clean- a simple wipe with a damp rag and no more dirt or dog hair! Two weeks ago I brought in my 2003 Ford Expedition to get the front seats reupholstered, center console, and steering wheel. In addition they took off the old tint on the front windows and put on new tint with a complete detail. I'm currently restoring a Ford Falcon and my wife bought me some reproduction seat covers. I spent all morning calling the local speed shops looking for a few missing parts I needed to complete the seats. After hours of frustration I gave Bill's a call and he was extremely helpful. He had what I needed and told me to come by the shop. When I arrived he dropped what he was doing to take a look at my project. He gave me the few parts I was missing and took quite a bit of time explaining how to repair my seats. When I left I tried to give him a few bucks for the parts and he refused. I tried to have my car repairs done at Bill's, I had called during the week to schedule an appt on Saturday and was told I didn't need one to just come in. On Saturday I went in, told them I needed my lining and interior re-done along with a tint. They told me they're too busy to even look at my car and to come back next Saturday. I'm not going to wait for next Saturday as it sounds like the same thing could happen again. I'm going to go somewhere else to get my car done.
