This guy is legit, very few locksmiths can cut lexus/bmw style keys. Most will charge $50-$65. just to cut it and another $100 to program the smart key to your car. I programmed my key using techstream and peter cut the emergency key for only $25. I will give peter all my business for now on. read more

Pete is the real deal. I recently broke my car key in half, and was having a hell of a time finding a legit and competent locksmith that wasn't trying to rip me off. Sounds simple right? Do the job that you're claiming to be a professional in and don't try to cheat the customer in the process...well, let me tell you, there are loads of scumbags in the locksmith business, at least here on the peninsula. Man, I could right a novella about all the drama that I had to go through because of a simple little broken car key. Pete at Bill's Lock Shop saved the day for me, he's, fortunately for me, not a cheating scumbag. He's a professional, old school locksmith that knows what he's doing and that won't try to rip you off. Save yourself the headache of having to deal with all these other local locksmiths and go with Bill's Lock Shop. I literally called every local locksmith in the area, they they are all scum, seriously. I had one a few blocks north of Bill's make me some bootleg key that didn't work at all, they claim to have been in business for 65 years, you'd think they'd get the profession right in all that time. I also had one of those "we come to you" locksmiths come through, man, that guy was a wanna be hustler that wouldn't even tell me a ballpark price "until after he started working on it" and told me "not to worry". I finally got him to quote me a price, it was higher than what the Acura dealer quoted me, and I told him to leave, he said he'd have to charge me $29.95 just for showing up as I walked back into my garage, and I told him that I wasn't going to pay him s**t, and closed my garage door. Pure scum, nobody mentioned anything about a fee for just showing up when I called. Another mobile locksmith that I called kept blowing up my phone with calls trying to convince me to have have them come down. They called so much that I had to block them, they'd call, and when it would go to message, they'd call again, and again, and again...even after 9 or 10 or 11pm and even in the morning at like 7am, it was crazy. I had to cut a 2005 crv car key and he quoted me $25. He tried but ran into a problem with his key scanner. But he was able to refer me to someone and got it done for $30. But I stop by Designers Brass locksmiths just to see what they would charge, since they are a few blocks away. Well that guy first made it sound like it was super difficult. I gave them a call and they were very polite on the phone. Great fast service. I called Bill's as I had a Commercial Front Door at my business with a bad lock. (I couldn't get in the door.) When I called I asked how soon they could come out. They told me 45 mins. They showed up in 30 minutes. The locksmith was friendly and knowledgeable. I wasn't sure how much it would cost to fix the lock and he told me $90.
