We love Fircrest!…read more Not only do we appreciate a locally owned market, but we REALLY appreciate a locally owned market with great produce--and Fircrest always has great produce, specifically, great avocados! in the near decade that we've been shopping there, we've gotten only ONE subpar avocado. can you believe that? Oh, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the corn and the artichokes, which are always up there with their primo avocado quality! Fircrest is nearly worth it just for the avocado alone, but we've purchased lots of items there and appreciate that it's so close to home, so it's great when we just need a few more items to make dinner! They, also, have some really good beer!

I'm not a germaphobe but once got a nasty intestinal bug from a restaurant where the food handlers didn't wear gloves, and I will never do it again. There's a reason gloves, or some other type of barrier between hand and food, are required. If you spend less than $80, keep an eye on the staff making your food or only get drinks, and you sit outside, this is a pretty stop through town.
