This place is extremely unprofessional. The woman who works the front desk has a nasty attitude every time me or anyone in my company has tried to communicate with her; she was either condescending, impatient, or just flat out rude for no reason at all. Secondly, they are unclear about their own policies. I've been told many different things regarding a single vehicle, making it extremely difficult to remove the vehicle from their premises. They give you a big run around just to try to keep your vehicle overnight and charge you extra. There's always a new rule or "policy" every time I'm prepared to take my vehicle that prevents them from doing so, instead of just telling me what I need to know from the beginning. They are very sneaky and not cordial at all, especially the lady at the front desk who very clearly hates her job. I arrived at 2:30pm, 2 and a half hours before their posted closing times (although they are also a 24 hour service) and was told it is too late to pick up the vehicle for the day and would have to return the next day. This was a shock since I made sure to ask if anytime before 3pm was appropriate and they confirmed. Their roadside assistance was quick and easy, but once they are in possession of your vehicle it's game over. They can tell you anything they want and keep it, since they have an agreement with State Police. Any accident that happens in Nassau County is under their jurisdiction and I think that's why they feel they can get away with this behavior. Please do better as a business, or at least hire people that aren't rude and won't speak to customers rudely. Some customers don't know what to do in a situation after an accident and may have questions, it shouldn't be a burden for you to answer those questions. If that IS a burden, perhaps you shouldn't be working in a public facing environment. read more

Tire blow out on Long Island Expressway; Geico sent Nestor from Bill's Towing.. We needed a flat bed to tow us to a local Mavis as our spare tire could not be removed from under the truck ( 2004 GMC ENVOY).. Nestor came and was so kind and helpful.. Drove us to Mavis.. unloaded.. waited for them to begin servicing our truck. And once dispatched from GEICO Roadside, it only took 22 minutes until he arrived. 22 !!! So fast! They were rude and unprofessional. They were unhelpful. And when mentioned to a trusted car mechanic shop owner, he shook his head saying he's heard terrible things from many people about them. Awful. After my wife and I were involved in an accident, they were called to tow my car. Such nasty people work there! When I tried to get my car moved to a garage near me, despite not charging me anything when at the garage, they asked for 800 dollars to release my car to my guy I chose, ultimately holding my car hosyage. After a car accident on the highway, Bill's Towing brought our totaled car to their lot around 6p. The tow truck driver was kind and advised us that would be the cheapest option. The next day, the lady at the front desk would not tell us the cost over the phone even when we persisted that we needed to know how much cash to bring. We had another tow truck service pick up the car before noon. Bill's charged us over a $1000 to tow the car 7.4 miles and keep it in their lot for less than 24 hours. The lady at the front desk was vaping, made no eye contact, minimal conversation and copied the name incorrectly from the Driver's ID on the paperwork.... The itemized bill included $380 for the tow, $75 for a yard fee, $100 for admin fee, $100 for a piece of plastic to cover the hood, $125 cleaning fee, $50 for 24 hour storage, and $125 for tow out (a service that another tow truck company provided). Roadside assistance doesn't even cover a tenth of the fee. The second tow truck company was appalled at the cost and called Bill's to speak to management. Even though I had validation from another industry professional, Bill's did not do anything to rectify the situation. The lady at the front desk and management have no class or empathy. March 5th, 2021 My Car Was overheating due to 3hose that needed to be replaced. My car broke down in Staten Island at the Verrazano bridge. It was the middle of the night so I waited till the next day to have my car towed. After a few phone calls to Geico I was lucky enough to come into contact with Bill's Towing. They were very accommodating and made the whole process easy. I was first told I would have to go back to Staten Island with my keys by Geico and use a towing company where the car broke down. Lucky enough they contacted Bill's and I was able to bring the keys there. I have never had an issue where I needed a tow but if I ever have again I would use Bills in a second. They open earlier than their hours state if you are returning your "boot" on the way to work in the morning--so call in advance. Lady in receiving office was very nice to deal with. I'm out $1000.00 because I was "booted" due to UNFAIR Red Light Camera tickets and I do not make a lot of money. Personally- It takes me FOREVER to accumulate $1000.00 and tuck it away in an "emergency" bank account. I am a low level regular working-poor person. I was in an accident on friday afternoon, I am alright but the car not to good. I skidded on some ice and went into a pole.I was able to get car home. I called insurance company immediately and they called the auto body place. As it was already starting to snow real hard, You can imagine that you might have problems. I spoke with C & E Auto Body and they called bills towing. they said the soonest they could pick up was monday, But to wait for the call from Bill's Towing. Bill's Towing called back in about 2 minutes and i asked if there was any way to have it picked up today which was actually friday. They said there was a truck in the area and would be happy to pick it up and drop it off at C & E Auto Body. The gentleman from Bill's showed up in about 15 minutes and hooked up car and took it away. Could not ask for better service. I was gonna call triple A but the driver told me they weren't allowed on the parkway. So here I am stuck with them 150 some odd dollars just to tow me of the parkway which I was sitting at the ramp literally 20-30feet away from the exit and he said cash only because who carries 150 dollars on them all the time but that's convenient for them because if you only have a card they have to tow you to thier shop which is more money because it's more miles. Here I am with no choice but to be towed to thIer shop to pay with my card and a whopping 280.00 dollars later baecause they only take cash. I didn't have that much in my account so when I asked if someone cannot them over the phone the conveniently saId no only swiping they don't wanna take a chance that it could be a fraudulent charge ok because I'm a thief or a dirt bag willing to take a chance doing that they could've just made a photo copy of my drivers license and thier if it was going to be a fraud you have my info to calm the cops. Anyway they never tried working with me it was either I swipe or somebody comes down to swipe at the sit or nothing and to top it all off he was threatening me with charging me an extra 60dollars if I didn't do it by 4pm because a so called storage fee which my car wasn't even going to be their a fUll 12-24 hours at 4 pm I got their at 9am. In my opinion they are no good. They are not trustworthy or honest or they are grossly competent. Here's what happened to me. I had car trouble and got towed (via GEICO road side assistance) by "Bill's Towing" back to "their shop" which I later learned was called "BRG Enterprise". At about 3pm I was told that my car needed a new alternator AND a new battery ($800). I suspected that it was very unlikely that both the alternator and a 2 year old battery would both go bad on the same day. Soooo I was left with only 2 options "Let" them do the repairs or move the car do a different repair shop. Not the type to be willingly screwed, I had the car towed to a different repair garage. Not shockingly the battery was GOOD (as most 2 year batteries are). The final cost was less at the 2nd shop even with BRG's $80 "diagnostic charge" and the additional towing charge. I didn't save any money but was able to kept $100s out of the hands of what I think of as OPPORTUNISTIC PREDATORS. Their single concern is to squeeze every unearned cent they can out of a simple tow. $1300 for a tow without winching or major clean up, for a mid sized suv, on a main road, a short distance from their facility. This was after hours (they were called at around 11pm), and about 20% of the fee is for storage. They ended up putting over $500 in unauthorized towing charges that my insurance wouldn't cover because they were not NY State regulated fees which is what they're supposed to be charging if towing from a State parkway!! Absolutely disgraceful. I was involved in an accident. The Nassau Police called a tow company in Farmingdale to Tow my car to 1042 Collision. When the truck arrived it was from Bill's Towing, not the company I requested. The driver told me that he can only take the car to ALL-Star Body Shop. He said that I would have to pay out of pocket for a second tow. I refused to give him permission. All this happened in front of the police officer. 1042 Collision spoke by phone and demanded that the car be brought to the shop of my choosing.
