This place is very quirky and dive-y, but I enjoyed the atmosphere. For a Friday night, it was pretty chill with hardly anyone in there. I grabbed a booth by the windows, which made for a perfect people-watching spot. I kept it simple with some chicken tenders, which I enjoyed more than I thought I would! I went with my son and his friends as we came to town for a quick day trip. My food was ok, an egg sandwich that could have used something because it was dry. The hashbrowns had no salt and there wasn't any on the table. My son's friend were sitting at the table next to us And after the food was brought they showed me the bun on one and it was burnt and hard. Another said his meat was so hard and had some mystery crunch. They tried to muscle thru but they all said it was terrible. There are a couple boys in the group that are servers so they didn't really want to complain because they know how it is but when I saw the waitress when she brought the check, I did say something because paying that much for inedible food that we'd have to stop and pay for a second meal isn't right. The staff treated me in a very unprofessional way and removed me without giving any valid explanation. I had the impression that their attitude towards me was also racist. My first experience at Billy Frogg's wasn't great, the bartender wasn't the nicest, so it took me a long time to want to go back, but some of my friends wanted to go this weekend so I decided it was time to give it another shot. My experience this time was much better. The bartenders were friendly and the service was pretty fast. The drinks were just ok, it wouldn't be my go-to spot to grab drinks, but it worked out for the time we had. The bartender was nice enough, but it just felt like his drinks were made with just juice and no alcohol whatsoever. After ordering a second one I decided I'm not gonna waste any more money and we decided to leave there were a lot of conversations between the bartender and what I would assume were coworkers of his that werent working at the time that were a little inappropriate which doesn't bother me, but I can imagine how it would bother other people. I had been to Billy Frogg's once for lunch and it wasn't very memorable. I was happier with breakfast. We had a friend in town and didn't want anything fancy, just a simple place to eat and chat before she had to leave. Billy Frogg's worked out great. I had looked at some photos of the menu on Yelp, and I have to say that the menu has changed and is much more limited. But anyway, it had the things we wanted and it was easier to decide what to get! I got the omelet with mushrooms and cheddar. Loved it, it was really packed with mushrooms on the inside. Served with hashbrowns and toast. I would order this again for sure...though maybe I would try the biscuits and gravy instead. My husband was happy with his pancakes and bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly. We both thought the coffee was excellent; and the juices came in large glasses (with ice). Overall I was really satisfied with breakfast. I was a little nervous at first since there were no other people in the place, though by the time we were done there were a few families. It's maximalist decor here and there are a lot of things to look at on the walls. There was music playing but quiet enough that conversation was easy (when I had gone at lunchtime it had been too loud). I love how this place is decorated. It's a ton of fun just to be in the space. Good food! Nothing too fancy, but it's great bar food. PLUS they do breakfast! Coffee is just, meh, but I'm not at a cafe. Prices are great. Even when you treat this place as a bar and not just a restaurant. I've been here a couple times just to drink. It's a fun place. They have a couple games. A giant spin wheel thing of drinks I can't quite remember when or why they use it, but it's there! Today they were playing early 2000's music and it was happily taking me back to high school. It's a very safe staple in our places to eat when in Omaha. (Husband and I are from South Sioux City.) Racist bartender. Our group who's in town for work came into Billy Frogg's around midnight on Halloween. We had been having a decent time until one of my co workers (a woman of color) went to order a drink and took a piece of candy from a bucket sitting on the bar. Reminder- it's Halloween. The bartender took away the bucket and said, "what do you think you have, white privilege?" My coworker was so floored- she didn't say anything and walked away wondering what she had done wrong. When confronted the bartender doubled down and insisted she was stealing even though myself (white woman) and other co workers had been taking candy all night. He said the candy was for kids.... At midnight? Cmon.... He was extremely rude and made himself and his business look very very ignorant. We obviously won't be back- don't support this place. read more

Do not expect even the slightest bit of acknowledgement when you walk in. They will do absolutely everything they can do to avoid eye contact and never smile. Not enough servers I ordered the Fish and chips with my Fiance celebrating our anniversary and we both were so disappointed in the timely manner we were served. Then when food finally arrived it was fully engulfed in grease that looked dirty and the fish was rubberized to the point we ended up leaving but still was a good customer and paid a 70$ bill for crap. Beer could of been colder too, where some of us don't down our drinks but like to enjoy them and the moment. The sad part is the server was helping our server out more than what she should of been. The worst service I've ever experienced downtown we waited an hour for fries because the waiter took them to the wrong table and when I tried to ask where our food was 40 minutes after we ordered them the guy with the pony tail was kind of rude and dismissive, the bartender in the blue shirt was pretty cool but one cool bartender isn't enough to go back to a place that sort of sucks, I suspect the communication here sucks and needs dramatically improved. Even when those fries went out (they went to the table next to ours) it was a pretty long service time for a basket of fries . The weren't even that good we should have gone to spaghetti works. We were walking in the Old Market on Howard Street, and saw the sign for Froggy's Arcade. We decided since I'm an arcade game nut, to stop in and look. This is in the basement of the space - I think it's under Froggys Bar and Grille partially. The arcade games are a lot of the more current stuff, like Pac Man Battle Royale and other similar games. The cost is pretty reasonable, and they have a dollar changer and someone there to help if a game jams up. Not many classics here. read more

Do not recommend. Been going here for a few years now and honestly, I will probably never be back. The bartender Mike is rude and yells and cusses at customers. The food isn't too bad. I've ordered the nachos before which were good , and my friend ordered chicken tenders and fries. I've also heard they've got good burgers. Mike got our order mixed up with a different table and when my friend told him that she DID order fries , he continued to cuss at her and tell her she was wrong (when in fact she did order the fries, but he got the wrong table.) The drinks here are decent price. Mike is always pushing to sell shots. There is a "Jolly Rancher" shot that he always pours that I guarantee has 0 liquor in it. Misogynistic Bartender. Quite literally the worst bar experience I have ever had. Came in around 12:45 for a couple of drinks for a friends 23rd birthday. Friend who is 23 is short and looks young, but got checked by the bouncer (who was the only amazing part of the night, pay him more). 23 y/o friend then went to the basement to play some games with some others in our group, while three of us went to order drinks. Mind you, this is a slow Saturday night and said bartender has 2 people sitting in his section of the bar. Said older male bartender yells at my friends and I to "get our friend back up here" as he did not believe she was of age. Again, she was checked throughly by the bouncer. He does not look in our direction nor serve us until my friend is back upstairs, which he then again does not acknowledge us. The birthday girl states "don't you want to check my ID?" to which he then says he never says that. To top it off he quite literally states that we were "Typical women" who "always make up lies". As a group of multiple women we were obviously appalled. Tried to act like he never stated that when he 5+ people heard him. Taking into account other reviews about said bartenders rudeness and racism, it's important to note we were a group of several Asian and Black customers. Genuinely the worst experience at a bar I had ever had and left a bad taste in all of our mouths. If you want to keep patrons coming, think about either retraining this bartender to learn basic human decency or removing him all together. No one enjoys a shitty drink with a side of misogyny. Once on Monday night 5/24 - great staff behind the bar!!! and then again on Wednesday night 5/26 - bartender was ok but EXTREMELY pushy on trying to make people order alcohol even when people pointed out they did not want it. Food was great on Monday. Mediocre on wednesday. I ordered the same exact thing both nights. Also, on Wednesday the appetizer came out at the exact same time my burger did and it took over 30mins for food - they weren't that busy. I also feel that the bartender on Wednesday purposely charged me extra - he said "there's a $1 fee to use credit cards. Funny, there is nothing posted anywhere about it nor was I charged that on Monday. Burger - got the bbq one - was good. So good I ordered it both nights. Visited for brunch, now that the Diner has relocated to Billy Frogs. The menu is what was available at The Diner, your normal breakfast and lunch diner faire. The Diner was always a favorite and was sad to see it go, but this new home is really a great fit. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. My coffee cup was never empty and plates were promptly removed - as almost magically. The food was just as I remembered, just simple.great breakfast items... Highly recommend.
