I'm sure they were freezer bag to microwave. I ordered the breaded tenderloin. Warning to anyone from Indiana, Illinois or Iowa. Don't even entertain the thought of ordering this. It doesn't resemble the pictures shown from years ago. It's a huge, flattened, greasy Pete's Pride Pork Fritter and you can't taste any pork. This is my first time at this location, it was surprisingly empty for a Monday evening around 6 PM. We were one of about three tables during our visit, and had a great meal. The food came out quickly, and was piping hot. I loved my buffalo chicken wrap! There was plenty of flavor, and the ingredients were layered well. The chicken noodle soup was decent, although the noodles were pretty soggy, so not the freshest soup I've had. Visited DJ's Dugout often during the CWS. It was a good place to chill between/during games. There were many types of seating and we could almost always find a spot for 3-5 folks. The servers were great, especially Eric who took care of our group a couple of times. Our group consistently got the nachos. They were huge and there was plenty for everyone to share. The 32 oz cocktails were plentiful and actually contained a good amount of alcohol. This was my first time eating at this location, and we stopped by for a late lunch. I see why this location is popular for The Men's College World Series because it's huge inside! We seated ourselves up front by the full windows and was greeted by our server quickly. We placed and received our food orders within 10 minutes. This is a typical sports bar, nothing to write too much about. A great place to come watch a game and get a beer and some average food. I've been to multiple locations and have found they're all fairly similar. This specific location downtown is less busy than other locations, at least at the times I've been here. It's a big location, so if you're coming with a big group or want to make sure there will be room, you don't have anything to worry about. The service was quick most of the time, but when we first arrived, we were surprised that it took so long for them to come greet us given how slow they were. After that, there was a nice flow with how often they came to the table to see about refills or more orders. We ordered the Super Bowl nachos and basket of fries with nacho cheese. The nachos were okay, the chips tasted stale, and it's a huge amount of food, we didn't even touch the bottom half. The restaurant was so cold inside that the food got cold really quickly. I wanted a pickle beer, but they didn't have a specific pickle beer, but they were accommodating by bringing me a pickle spear and pickle juice, which worked! They were changing out menus so they didn't have drink menus available but still brought us one when we asked. The beer selection was super small, I'm guessing most people order the basic domestic beers. We stayed through our first waiter's shift so he asked us to cash out when he left, which we happily did, but after that, there was only one more time someone came to our table until we left over an hour later. There was another young guy waiting tables in our section, which was still pretty slow, and all he came to ask was if I still wanted my pickles that I hadn't finished yet. He didn't offer to take any of our dishes away or get us more drinks, just asked if I still wanted my pickles, which I thought was weird. The waitress moved the napkin holder from the middle of the table to set food down, spilling my almost full 32ounce margarita on me and my brand new Birkenstock's. She tried to dab them clean with a damp cloth, not even saying sorry. She even tried to charge me for the spilled drink. I contacted the manager who said he'd get back to me. I sat at the bar, and received great service from Josh. He made sure my glasses (water & whiskey) were always full, and that I got a good meal. He informed me of the specials, but since I had been craving a burger, that's what I got. Was it the best burger I've had in my life? Was it a life changing burger? Was it a religious experience? No. But it was a very good burger. So good that I'll be back in a couple days, when I have to come through Omaha again. If you're in the area give this place a try. We completely expected to have somewhat of a wait time because of the day and hour we were visiting and also because there was an event going on in the area. However, we ended up waiting 45 minutes between ordering and receiving our food. During this time, Jamie, our server, stated she checked on our food several times. It seemed more likely that she just was overwhelmed, although she didn't have many tables, and couldn't keep up. As a side note, we also did not receive any refills. Saturdays they have phillies as the special. So we ordered one steak and one chicken. When our food arrived it was luke warm, BUT, it tasted pretty good (of course we were pretty hungry by this time so that may have made it taste better ;) ). I don't think we will end up going back to DJ's. This is the second location we have tried and have not been impressed. Overall, you might be better off going somewhere else. This was my landing spot a few nights ago to watch some ballgames. As far as sports bars go, this was the most basic possible. They had a ton of TVs, unfortunately, they weren't showing one of the most obvious games. I asked for one to be switched to ESPN so that I could see Sunday Nigh Baseball. Nice atmosphere. Decent food. Terrible service. We had a party of eight during a quiet weekday lunch hour. Four of us had ordered three different kinds of wraps. Waitress brought out wraps, said i dont know which is which and put them in the middle of the table like it was our responsibility to figure it out. After we paid (in cash), we noticed one of our guests was charged $18 and the other $13. Both had the same wrap and same drink. When the waitress was questioned why the difference, she simply said oh I must have put someone else's drink in your order and walked off. Didn't offer to correct it or refund the extra $5 cash.
