My better half and I stopped into Let It Fly, and honestly... the experience never got off the ground. I ordered a martini, she grabbed fried pickles and a Mango Madness, and from the moment we walked in the customer service was rough. The first server barely acknowledged us, and everything after that followed the same half‑effort energy. The martini they brought out was straight gin (not dirty, not balanced), just... gin in a glass. I asked if it could be remade, and the server said sure, then never brought it back. My wife ordered a second drink and yep... they forgot that too. To be fair, the fried pickles were good, but that was the only thing that hit. Maybe it was an off day, but between the missed drinks, the lack of attention, and the overall "we don't really care" vibe, we probably won't be back. read more

I've visited twice now and both times I wasn't super impressed. The food is good. The sweet potato fries are great! Service was meh. We were one of at most 8 tables on a Saturday. When we ordered the waitress specifically asked if we wanted ranch my husband and I both said yes along with another person on our party. Only one of us got ranch when we asked for it for the two that didn't get it we got one. But seemed like we were an Inconvenience for asking. When it was time for the bill she didn't ask if it was going to be split or paid all together. She had the first group pay their portion then came to the other side of the table and told us the remaining balance. Instead of again asking if it will be split of paid in full. When we asked to split she made a comment about how was she supposed to know. Which I agree but she never even asked. My real issue is no changing table or space in the bathroom? Let It Fly clearly wasn't prepared and/or their staff is not trained/managed. The service was abysmal. I went to Let It Fly for a friend's birthday and we had a great time. They accommodated 14 of us during a busy day (Creighton game), so that was nice of them. Our server was amazing and super attentive. We tried one of their pizzas as well as their beer tower which were good. We had such a good time. We will totally be going back soon. read more

Was visiting Omaha during football season and looking for a place to watch the game and not worry about sitting in a specific spot to see the one or two TV,s most places have. This spot is the one! Our large group of OSU Beaver fans had so much fun at Let It Fly. Let It Fly hosted a pre-party 2.5 hours before every OSU baseball game. The restaurant is massive, giant tv screens two decks and the most amazing staff you'll ever meet. Their quick service was impeccable mixed in with smiles and a lot of laughs. We basically lived at Let It Fly while in Omaha and even went there on non-OSU game days to watch the other teams play. We ordered different entrees but our standout favorites were the Cobb salad, pretzel and their burgers and sandwiches. (I'd skip the pizza). They had these beer towers which were a hit at the table and so easy to share. They also had beer vendors on the first floor that gave out free beer and merch. We look forward to going back to the CWS and getting "our table" next year! Go Beavs! read more

I like visiting Let It Fly when looking for that fun sports bar atmosphere. I like the location in Capitol District if going to an event nearby after or just looking for a good place to get a drink and watch a game. You'll never miss a game with TVs almost everywhere in the restaurant, and the place is huge weigh two levels and front and back patios. The menu is pretty typical for sports bar food, and I've enjoyed the burgers and appetizers. The drink list has plenty of options, and I really like the local beers they have on tap, including their namesake Let It Fly lager. Before a home creighton basketball game the place can get extremely busy, though clears out close to the start of the game as people head over to watch. They have daily food specials, and the drinks aren't a bad price. If looking to hang out with a group, they offer beer and drink towers which could be fun! Sometimes, even when not terribly busy, the food can come out a little slowly. Let It Fly has a fun atmosphere if you're looking for a cool sports bar and is definitely work a visit. read more

I do like this place because it is quite expansive inside. The booths are all HUGE so bring friends! My one hitch is consistency. I usually goto a place multiple times before leaving reviews and find something that is good to take pictures of and make sure to post them. From my own pictures and visits the quantity of or quality of items varied quite a bit. The flavor was still there but the looks of the item may have been awesome or NOT. Because of the area this business is in prices are a bit on the high side and if its busy service will be slow. For comparison the surrounding places do not have the variety and ambience as this place does so depending on where you are in your journey this is a good option. I personally have never had a bad experience yet but maybe that is my luck. Try it out... at least that HUGE stadium screen is pretty cool haha! read more

We made reservations for a Friday night, but there must not have been any big events going on because it was pretty slow. The space was nice, plenty of TVs and tables for large groups. The drink menu looked promising,but friends that tried their cocktails said they were just okay. I settled on a beer. Lots of domestics, which is to be expected, would have liked to see some more local options available. We ordered mozzarella sticks for an appetizers they were fantastic! I could probably eat a whole order to myself. Will definitely get these again. For dinner, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries. The pork was tasty and I liked the addition of a slightly sweet coleslaw on top. The fries were fantastic! Perfectly cooked and not too salty. Overall, our service was mediocre. Our server was not overly friendly, stopped by a lot as we were reviewing the menu options, then kind of disappeared after our food came. It was a slow night, so I can't imagine it would be any better on a busy event night! Might give it another go if I'm in the area for an event, but wouldn't be a destination dinner spot for me. This is a great sports bar downtown. It has the same vibe as a lot of big sports bars out west. It was fun to watch the Olympics here over the summer and it's fun for creighton games. The service has always okay - not overly friendly like some places down here but not awful by any means. But we found Let It Fly, and one of my team mates said, "Oh! I've always wanted to try this!" So we headed in. We were so tired when we arrived. We were pretty much brain dead. We couldn't decide if we wanted to sit at the bar or at a booth or a table. It could have been really awkward. But our host (who was brilliant), said, "Let me take you to our favorite booth." That was a classy move. Of course, this meant that we, who had no interest in ordering dinner, were seated in a waitresses section. She was visibly irritated with us at first. But we eventually won her over and she took good care of us. We ordered a variety of drinks and appetizers and hung out for two hours. But they were having a slow night (they weren't needing to turn tables), and we constantly added to our order. So it all worked out for everyone. I'm from Texas and I married a hot Latina, and honestly, I did not expect to like anything "Mexican" in Omaha... much less anything labeled "tin can nachos." (Are you serious right now?) But... wow! They were really good. I was really surprised. They brought it out in a 5-lb-sized tin can with the bottom removed. They lift up the can and the content drops down onto the plate. And boy was it yummy - and appropriately spicy. I loved it! We also had mozzarella cheese sticks. I'm not into deep fried mozzerella, actually. But I thought this was pretty good, and one of my coworkers said it was the best cheese stick dish she's ever had. The bar is midway between the Downtown Marriott Capital and the Marriott Courtyard - an easy walk from both. And it's also next to J Gilbert's and a number of other great establishments. Plenty to do here, and this place is certainly worth a visit. And I bet they pack the place when there's a good game on. Oh... and the table next to us was ordering three foot high drinks (some kind of vodka-fruit punch drink that is like a modernized version of a pitcher that looked really cool). Fun place! read more

Everything we got tasted amazing, but my favorite would probably be the pizza. They burnt our pizza & kindly made us a new one AND they took it off our tab! I would also recommend the garlic teriyaki for the wings over the chipotle honey. Our food came out in a decent manner, however our waitress would forget about our drinks/condiments when asked, but it was probably because of how busy the place was. Our food took very long first thing came out after 30 minutes last thing an hour after ordering and came out super sporadically. The first thing to show up was my wife's entree of a chicken Caesar wrap. Then came out my side order of onion rings 10 minutes later. Then my nachos came out 15 minutes later. Then my wife's Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese and nachos were supposed to be appetizers. The food was kinda expensive but was solid just the service and communication was terrible. The food is Amazing here!! We had pulled pork quesadillas & spicy chicken with vodka sauce. Both dishes were packed with flavor & the quality was top notch! They even have a nice wine selection! We sat outside & our service was very helpful. She had great recommendations & kept checking on us. Indoors has open seating like your typical sports bar, with plenty of choice seats, wall to wall TV's & high ceilings. We will definitely be back.
