    Half rack of ribs

"The other option" for food and beer at Santa's Village, less crowded and noisy, i saw a few families with kids next to the mountain bikers. You order at the counter, then find a table, plenty outside and some inside too (indoors was closed when I visited). Plenty of BBQ options, I got the half rack of ribs with rice & beans and a potato salad, all great. Strand blonde or your beer of choice will complement this well, then you'll go back for more! They are very friendly here, don't forget to get your discount with your annual pass!

For those who aren't crazy about fast food type of foods served at St. Nick's Grill, this the alternative, a true sit down restaurant. Unfortunately, their menu is very limited. That wouldn't be a problem if the food was good. The food here was just OK. A few of use ordered off the Kid's Menu as the option of Mac N Cheese sounded better for a near freezing New Year's Day. The French Onion Soup was a bit of a joke as there was hardly any cheese baked on top of the cup of soup. Rather, a large crouton with melted cheese on top was set on top of the soup. Voila! Despite the fact the soup was over seasoned, the lacked of that nice thick layer of melted cheese made the soup pedestrian. The mac n cheese was much better, but it's more of a side dish portioning. Thank goodness it came with some sliced fruit. Chicken Satay was no Satay. Just a skewer of dry chicken (2 pieces per skewer) and some orange sauce doused over it. Meh. The Tri Tip Platter was scary looking. One expected either chunks of tri tip or slices of it, but the clump that was served was overlooked (perhaps reheated from leftovers) and long and stringy. It was absolutely unappetizing. It's no wonder this place is empty while the fast food style place got the majority of the foot traffic. 2.5 stars and rounding it up. Our server was nice and attentive.

Came here to Santa's village for the very first time. Driven past here for many years and finally visiting the made over Santa's village. I was feeling really hungry since I got up at the crack of dawn to get here. With few choices in the park we opted to try it. Turns out the food was very salty for the french onion soup and the Tri-tip plate. Portions were smallish and the price was high. The mac and cheese and the satay were good. You get a free bowl of fruit if you ordered items on the elf's menu. Other alternatives in the park were St Nicks patio and grill and Pedal pub.

Such a cute little place and the food was great. Chicken was so tender and the potatoes were yummy and the cornbread was ugh so good and the mac and cheese was also yummy. It was good mac and cheese not kraft mac and cheese lol. Which i also like but did not want lol. Will definitely come back.

My wife and I shared this meal but based on the quality of the BBQ, we could've easily had separate dishes. We're always skeptical when it comes to food at "theme parks". Although this wasn't Disneyland, it could play off in the same category with the exception of the food. Brisket and ribs were smoked just right to bring that flavorful tenderness we all love. I'm sure we'll be back and Billy's will be our go-to. Thanks!

When we arrived we wanted to move seats due to very loud music from the live band as we were seated right infront of the band and noticed there were several tables with " reserved " signs and the host said -we could not be seated there. What happened to " no reservations allowed" ? The service is spotty and the ambiance missed the mark in several areas. Plastic forks , spoons , knives. Difficult to cut the ribs with a plastic knife. When asked for a real knife- we were asked to reuse a knife that was as dirty and was being taken back to be washed. The worst part of the experience was looking up from my table and seeing a decorative guitar sporting a confederate flag. A couple of things I did like were: the live music. The musicians were great - except the music was so loud -that no one in the main room was able to hear each other speak. The bake potato size is impressive and the Dolly Parton door / decor. The guy helping the waitress bring out drinks from the bar -he was attentive and helpful.

You're fine, its also for patrons of the Cookshak. Next follow along around the side of the lodge into the backyard area and you'll come across a concrete patio w benches and tables. Order from the window and take your food to eat out on the back patio. The menu is different from what you can find on these Yelp menu photos so expect the prices to be a lot higher than two years ago, but prices are way higher everywhere from two years ago. I ordered a one item plate w two sides thinking I might not have ordered enough food but boy was I wrong. The sides portions are huge, the cornbread is huge, and the meat filled me up. The beans here are a spicy chili bean type that went great on top of the corn bread. The slaw was very good and the mac n cheese was reminiscent of kraft mac n cheese only w/ the addition of pepper and a sharper cheese flavor giving it a memorable taste. The potato salad was decent, potatoes prolly coulda been cooked a tiny bit longer but the rest of the salad tasted good. The star of the show was the brisket. You will get a slice or two near the end that might be cooked thru a little too much for my liking but the majority of what you get is melt in your mouth deliciousness. The honey mustard sauce they offer is perfect to dip the well done slices in but the juicy slices go great unassisted. I originally picked this spot because the other popular bbq spot nearby didn't open until 3 but I am glad I picked this spot because the food left me satisfied for the rest of the day and left me w a smile on my face afterwards.

They have seating inside and in a side patio, plus only a handful of seats along the bar. I saw that reviews talked about spotty service but that the food was good so we decided to just brave it. Indeed when we went inside, it took a while for anyone to greet us and seat us, maybe between five to ten minutes. We eventually asked a worker if we can just sit at the bar since we saw some seats open up and we sat there. They have some beers on draft, we got some cali creamin beers which were good. My bf and I ordered the 2 meat combo with brisket and a full rack of ribs - both of those meats being additional charges (+$5 for brisket and $10 for full rack of ribs) because we assume they're the best meats they make here. The waiter even confirmed the brisket is the best and he recommended the ribs as the second meat to get. We got onion rings and fried pickles as our two sides. It took quite a while for it to come out so our appetites really grew. At one point we saw our sides - the onion rings and pickles - ready in front of the pickup window for a WHILE before the meats were ready and before everything was brought over to us. We were bummed bc when we eventually got everything, our sides were cold. Despite being cold, they were probably the best part of the meal and the onion rings especially were tasty. Ok let's talk specifics on the bbq. The brisket was unfortunately super dry and chewy. Sadly the worst brisket either of us has ever had. We couldn't even finish it and didn't even think it was worth finishing. The ribs too, the meat did not fall off the bone like a sign of good ribs. I had to peel them off the bone with my fingers and they were also dry. The ribs were slightly more passable to us than the brisket, but we were pretty shocked and disappointed with both. When our waiter came by, we were honest when he asked how everything was and told him the meats are really dry. We said we weren't sure if that's just how it is here or if they made a mistake in the kitchen. He took it back and brought it back to us shortly after. We were a little confused when we saw our platter, it looked like they just cut up all of our ribs and sauced everything more. After trying both meats, it was clear they just heated up the meat, maybe they just put it in a fryer, and they put extra sauce on each meat. While it was saucier, it didn't mask the fact that the meats were still incredibly dry. All in all, the service is slow, just as the reviews state. But the food too... eek. Definitely a little disappointing that the meats were served so dry and after giving them the opportunity to fix it, they essentially just put a bandaid over the issue by over saucing it.

I ordered the chicken tenders and fries. One of my friends ordered the bacon bbq burger with onion rings. We split these plates so we could both try two different dishes. I accidentally ordered a buffalo sauce instead of the bbq for my nuggets, and I was not a fan of the sauce. It was a dark sauce with too much smokiness to it. My friend ordered a side of bbq and that one was much better. The tenders are crispy and pair well with their bbq sauce or their ranch. The burger was also tasty. Fries were okay and I did not like their onion rings. They had a different taste to them. I couldn't put my finger on the flavor but it wasn't good in my opinion. My other friend ordered mozzarella sticks, and they were not good. No cheese pull, and it honestly tasted like moderately fried string cheese. The food took a really long time to come out. I know they were busy, but once the food came, we inhaled it because of how hungry we were. The vibes there are excellent though. We really enjoyed the music and the staff were fantastic.
