Stopped by here for a snack while visiting the Sky Park at Santa's Village. Got the ribs with the side of mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese to split with my boyfriend. It took about 20 mins for him to order even though there were only like five people ahead of him. Luckily there was inside seating (cuz it was so cold outside), so I could sit and wait for him. After he ordered and got the number, it took another 25 minutes or so for the food to be ready. The ribs were yummy and fell off the bone, but the BBQ sauce was cold. The Mac and cheese was hot, but could have been cheesier and could have had a stronger taste. The mashed potatoes were dry because there was no gravy. read more

You order at the counter, then find a table, plenty outside and some inside too (indoors was closed when I visited). Plenty of BBQ options, I got the half rack of ribs with rice & beans and a potato salad, all great. Strand blonde or your beer of choice will complement this well, then you'll go back for more! For those who aren't crazy about fast food type of foods served at St. Nick's Grill, this the alternative, a true sit down restaurant. Unfortunately, their menu is very limited. That wouldn't be a problem if the food was good. The food here was just OK. A few of use ordered off the Kid's Menu as the option of Mac N Cheese sounded better for a near freezing New Year's Day. The French Onion Soup was a bit of a joke as there was hardly any cheese baked on top of the cup of soup. Rather, a large crouton with melted cheese on top was set on top of the soup. Voila! Despite the fact the soup was over seasoned, the lacked of that nice thick layer of melted cheese made the soup pedestrian. The mac n cheese was much better, but it's more of a side dish portioning. Thank goodness it came with some sliced fruit. Chicken Satay was no Satay. Just a skewer of dry chicken (2 pieces per skewer) and some orange sauce doused over it. Meh. The Tri Tip Platter was scary looking. One expected either chunks of tri tip or slices of it, but the clump that was served was overlooked (perhaps reheated from leftovers) and long and stringy. It was absolutely unappetizing. It's no wonder this place is empty while the fast food style place got the majority of the foot traffic. 2.5 stars and rounding it up. Came here to Santa's village for the very first time. Driven past here for many years and finally visiting the made over Santa's village. I was feeling really hungry since I got up at the crack of dawn to get here. With few choices in the park we opted to try it. Turns out the food was very salty for the french onion soup and the Tri-tip plate. Portions were smallish and the price was high. The mac and cheese and the satay were good. You get a free bowl of fruit if you ordered items on the elf's menu. Other alternatives in the park were St Nicks patio and grill and Pedal pub. read more

My wife and I shared this meal but based on the quality of the BBQ, we could've easily had separate dishes. We're always skeptical when it comes to food at "theme parks". Although this wasn't Disneyland, it could play off in the same category with the exception of the food. Brisket and ribs were smoked just right to bring that flavorful tenderness we all love. Since they have restaurants up at Santa's Village and they don't charge you to eat at their restaurants, we decided to do a last minute day trip up to Santa's Village. We ordered the brisket sandwich, took a bite and time stopped. Have you ever had your back scratched in the right spot or decided to be a daredevil and stick a Q-tip a little deeper into your ear just to get that feeling of euphoria? Yeah... imagine that feeling, but with your tastebuds! Dear god! This very unassuming restaurant just served us up a dish I would pay twice as much for at a restaurant that overcharges for Valet. Do yourselves a favor... come and try it. Bonus points: We came during the week and we had the whole park to ourselves. Very relaxing and apparently, from what I was told, very romantic. We had dinner last night at Billy's at Sky Park (Santa's Village). My husband ordered the ribs and I had the tomato bisque soup. Both were excellent along with their delicious corn bread. The restaurant was warm and cozy with excellent wait staff including our favorite server, Colleen. She made a special effort to bring us wonderful drinks from the bar. The meal was delicious and affordable plus we enjoyed walking around magical Sky Park with snow still on the ground. PS Billy's had previously been Gatherings Restaurant. The menu has changed (limited more to bar-be-que) and the food is so much better. We will definitely be back for another great meal. read more

Stopped by for dinner close to their closing time on a Friday, but the servers were nothing but welcoming and accommodating. The menu is small but I think that just allows them to focus on making top notch food. We ordered a yummy salad with cranberries, walnuts and feta and the portion was pretty big. We also ordered prime rib with mashed potatoes and stuffing (screw the veggies!) and it was on point-one of the best prime ribs I've had. Well seasoned with really flavorful au jus. Mashed potatoes were grub, chunky and flavorful. If they could do a french dip with that au jus, i would be there for lunch tomorrow! read more

This place was unbelievably good!!! The meat was awesome,... but the sides were what stole the show!!!.... I highly recommend the apple cider slaw...it was not what I expected....easily the best slaw I've ever had...and I've had a lot of slaw in my day. Found this place online. Called the number to make sure they were open. We went on Friday 11-8-19. The answering machine said there was no charge to get into the park to eat there on a Friday. I was unable to ask a person as I could only call the answering machine. We drove over an hour 1 way to try it out. Got to the park and the guy running the ticket area gave us an attitude. Basically called me stupid because I believed the answering machine. No way am I going to pay to enter a park 7p at night then pay to eat. They have lost a customer for life due to this foul up. Never would have thought to go to Santa's Village just to grab dinner but thanks to yelp my wife and I enjoyed one of the best meals on the mountain last night. We went only an hour before closing but the food was still amazing and service was great. Our server was attentive and kind and the atmosphere of Santa's village and their st. Patty's day festivities and concert were a nice surprise. We did not pay admission to the park in order to eat here. We had the tri-tip and ribs and brownie sundae. All were to die for! Think outside the box for your weekend date night and head up to Billy's at Santa's village! read more

Not a review, just a heads up that to gain entry to Billy's you have to fill out the parks wavier and stand in the Santa's Village line to get in. Obviously during the holiday season plan on an undetermined wait time. The lot was full and there were van shuttles from an additional parking lot up the road. Once we caught our shuttle down and figured out what the program was and the additional wait time it was back onto the next van back to the upper lot and on our way to a new eatery. read more

Tried Gatherings for the first time. It is located in Sky Park / Santa's Village which is a very cool location! We had a large group with several kids. They had us set up and ready to go in no time. The service was down-right excellent. We all ended up ordering the tri tip. It was very good. My only recommendation would be to serve bbq sauce with it. We had to ask and they brought it out immediately. There is s decent selection of sides. I had garlic potatoes which were excellent and cole slaw that was a little wet for me. The kids all had Mac & cheese -which I tried. Very good. Great food, excellent service, beautiful ambiance; definitely a 5 star for me. read more

This place is great. We ate lunch here where we spent the day at Santas Village. We had a beautiful barbecue rib meal for only $16.99. One meal is enough to share with two people. The meal came with corn bread and honey butter, which was absolutely delicious. We had the ribs and brisket and both were super, super yummy. The service was great just like the food and dessert. If you want a beautiful barbecue meal, to enjoy a beautiful eating environment for a low-cost, you must eat here. read more

I gave them 1 star because of their food taste good or else they have zero star. I'm very unsatisfied with place, at least 90% of their servers should be fired. Very unprofessional, unfriendly and NOT polite at all. First, they have limited menu for customer, we have at least 10+ ppl and only have 2 menu to share around the table. Second, the server came over to ask if we are ready to order, but I was away from the table so my husband ask if she could come back later; then she replied" really, do you have to wait till she's back" (what's wrong with waiting for me to get back? )... then 5 mins later, I came back and we waved at 2 different waiter/waitress and told them we are ready to order, both of them look at us and just walk away. Just because we didn't order our dishes when they want us to? During the whole dining time, the waitress gave us "shit face" .. this really ruined our day. I don't know if the owner knew about this but the waiter and waitress had really bad attitude or they are just all discriminate again other raciest. This was the second time I have eaten at the gatherings my first try in April was a home run a five star across the board This time not so much First off I want to give them the benefit of the doubt as it was Mother's Day and we thought like many others that they were new and therefore less likely to have a select 3 or 4 item menu so they could get people in and out fast Their menu was pretty much the same which was good as this is the downfall of so many when they change menu and the very thing that you liked is not available Service was slow as there were only two of us and we didn't drink champagne or mimosas we were served drinks and totally forgotten for 45 minutes before we asked one of the table cleaners if we could order That person asked what we would like and took it to the kitchen Didn't ask about appetizers soup salad. No bread We ordered salmon And top sirloin the two most expensive items on the menu When the plate of sirloin arrived there was a perfect steak but very little else a few carrots and a spoonful of augratin potatoes Which I could not figure out and left untouched after a few bites as it had a sweet almost doughy consistancy like some one had mixed sweet bread dough in it No real cheese flavor The salmon was very nice however two little pieces of culliflower broccoli and a bed of rice that had set under the heat lamp too long as it was not flaky but stuck together and hard ( but not from undercooking) I would suggest they serve bread and more veggies for a $29 meal Also how hard is it to offer iced tea ? Just a thought I will return to see if it was the way they will be doing things from this point on or if they just were overwhelmed read more
