Best bbq! Service friendly and prompt. It was best bbq I have had in a long time. It was our 1st time here. The Meat was tender and tasty. We got the bbq sauce on the side. The meat had great flavor without sauce and with sauce even more amazing. The Mac and Cheeze so good. Beans good, greens had a kick of spicyness. Corn bread was dry could have used some butter and honey or what would been good add some cream corn and jalapeño. I was sad they sold out on peach cobbler. We really wanted to try that. I am a nurse who works long shifts, and my coworkers and I frequently order from this restaurant. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed to say that we were unsatisfied with our experience today. We placed a quick lunch order through DoorDash, and the cornbread was extremely hard. Additionally, one of my coworkers only received 4 ribs instead of the usual 6-7 that typically come with the plate. When she called the restaurant to ask if there had been a change in portion size, the interaction was very unpleasant. Before she could fully explain the situation, the owner became immediately aggressive, repeatedly asking, "What's the problem?" and saying, "Get on with your point," without allowing her the opportunity to speak. Having worked in customer service myself, I understand the importance of professionalism and respectful communication--especially with loyal, returning customers. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect that standard. It's disappointing to say that, based on this interaction, we will not be returning. read more

Walked in to the most friendly atmosphere and staff and left with a delicious dinner for the whole family. I remember that the very first time I ever had Halleluiah BBQ, it was at a celebration of life. I won't forget how tender, how flavorful and how effortlessly the meat tore apart. I never had soul food until I had this. Let me tell you, it was an eye opener. Shortly after that event, me and my family went to the restaurant. It was very mom and pop style, but still so cozy. Tons of nice seating and lots of places to sit. The service was also incredible. The workers were all very friendly and polite, also very good with service. First, the baked beans were good except for the excessive use of black pepper not sure what's going on here. Maybe Costco had a sale on black pepper, but it was way too much overpowering the flavor of the beans. Next, the greens had a good flavor however I couldn't continue to eat them for the excessive black pepper and excessive salt so much salt that we had to rinse the greens off in order to save them. Additionally, the chicken was pretty good. I added sauce to it, and it had a great flavor. The ribs we had to put in the oven on 225 for about two hours in order for it to be close to fall off the bone. but the ribs did have a good flavor. read more

I'm sad. We paid $30 for a pound of Brisket. We divided it up and used our kitchen digital scale and we certainly did not get a pound of Brisket, it was off by 85 grams short. However that really didn't matter because the meat was so very tough We couldn't chew it. We gave 2 pcs to our dogs and threw the rest out. I want to use this as a learning lesson. I will NEVER go back to Hallelujah bbq again. They should be ashamed of themselves. read more

Wow!! It was our first time here and being a transplant from TX, I miss good bar-b-que. I saw someone review this on TikTok, I didn't even know it was there but am glad it is!! All the staff were really friendly and attentive. We ate inside and the ambiance is great with really good music, my husband and I were able to jam out and enjoy each other's company. The portions are huge! My husband and I split a combo plate it comes with 3 meats and 3 sides and we are even able to have leftovers. We were referred to this bbq establishment about 5yrs ago by our notary. I finally made it yesterday. Holy. Moses. And a hallelujah! The gentleman taking the order was super friendly and funny. I thought it would take awhile to get my order because several peeps were standing around. But within 3 minutes I had my order which was the BBQ Dinner $40. I got ribs, pulled pork and my favorite the brisket. And three sides mac n cheese, potato salad and baked beans. Surprise was also 2 corn breads from heaven. The meal fed both my husband and I for lunch and a generous dinner. It was just spicy enough to give flavor additive and tasty. Everything was memorable. That corn bread though...heaven sent. Highly recommend the the dinner plate which comes with 2 sides. We ordered the rib dinner plate and the chicken dinner plate with the sauce on the side. For our sides we chose mac n cheese, potato salad, collared greens, and beans. Everything was very delicious and flavorful! The portions are generous! Also, we were surprised with the cornbread. It was my first time here, and before you walk into the building it smells amazing. I would say everything on the menu we tried was great. Chicken, pulled pork, ribs and brisket. We got Mac n cheese, potato salad and coleslaw along with corn bread and each one of those were so good! They took in consideration that I told them I was allergic to honey so they put the sauce on side. The service was fast and everyone in the restaurant was very nice. I would definitely recommend this place. I am most definitely going back for more. My coworkers and I are regulars when ordering online from this establishment, usually we are very satisfied with what we have received. Today was different than usual so we called the restaurant to explain the dissatisfaction and instead of feeling heard, my coworker was greeted with an aggressive tone. The phone was on speaker so everyone in our facility heard how she was being talked to and it is honestly ridiculous. I have worked in food handling and serving for years before transitioning into healthcare; the way that this situation was handled is not appropriate. Before getting the chance to even explain the issue, all we heard from the phone was a repetitive "WHAT'S THE PROBLEM THEN" about 4 times in a row, not allowing my coworker to address the issue. She was not trying to get free food, she was not trying to get a refund or anything to benefit her; she was simply letting the establishment know that she was unaware of changes in the portion that may have happened. I understand it gets busy and stressful but it is NOT appropriate to speak like that to anyone that continued to support the business. Customers are allowed to express how they feel about service and owners are allowed to take it how they want to but immediately shutting us down without giving us the opportunity to even state the issue is the reason why I am writing this review. If the phone call went alright and both sides were heard then I would not have even thought about coming on here despite the challenges we faced today. Due to the unprofessional and rude attitude we received over phone, I had to make it known that this is what will happen if anyone makes a call regarding issues with this restaurant. read more

My bf came a cross this place after he got a DD delivery order here. He came back ordered a Pull Pork Sandwich said it was a 10/10, finally he brought me here to try it. I got to say this is the best sandwich I have ever had. It's made with love! We ordered a brisket sandwich, potato salad, barbecue beans & corn bread! 100/10. The sandwich was packed with meat and so delicious! I will be back . Bean were amazing! Potato salad was a 7/10. I love corn bread it was delicious 8/10 , goes very well with the bbq bean! My wife stopped in to pick up dinner. Got the combo with ribs, brisket and pulled pork. Sides were greens, potato salad and coleslaw. While the establishment doesn't look like a 5 star BBQ spot, it's exactly what it needs to be. One that serves genuine southern BBQ. Everything was delicious and serving size was enough to eat on for a few days. This is the first BBQ joint we've ordered from that has greens and they were very good. This place is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! The meat I was sold was cold as if it was taken out of the refrigerator and it also tasted old. The guy that made all 4 of my dinners told me and the guy that was working the cash register that he sauced all my meat. I spent $88.36 at this place and I got un-sauced, old-cold meat. I called immediately after discovering my order was a disaster and they never answered the phone. The next day I called and the guy that answered the phone told me that he was the "Oldest Son" of the owner. This guy was extremely uncaring, unprofessional and beyond rude. This guy made a million excuses why my entire order was a disaster and NEVER ONCE OFFERED AN APOLOGY. He refused to hear me out and continued to talk over me while elevating his voice to the point that it escalated into an argument then he disconnected the call. I called back and he answered the phone yelling again. I asked to speak with someone else preferably the owner and he said "YOU ARE GOING TO GET THE SAME RESPONSE NO MATTER WHO YOU TALK TO!!!" He then offered me a cup of sauce for my trouble the next time I visit their establishment. I felt so disrespected and disgusted. I explained to him that I didn't need his handout!!! What I EXPECTED was PROFESSIONALISM and an APOLOGY but obviously that's too far-fetched for this establishment. Apple Valley is a small town that deserves good professional businesses. I'm one that believes in spending my dollars where I want it to count and that's why I spend in my town/city of Apple Valley. I support & encourage good businesses and I will be forwarding my complaint to the Town Hall as well as Better Business Bureau because this young man claiming to be the "Owners Oldest Son", customer service was totally unacceptable. About as good as it gets up here in the High Desert! Ever since Bludso's BBQ closed in Compton, I am always looking for bbq meats everywhere I go. Since family owned bbq restaurants are rather sparse around here, I decided to try Halleluiah BBQ. I tasted everything bbq on their menu; all the meats and the sides. I ordered the combo dinner with ribs, brisket, and pulled pork and the chicken plate. There was enough meat to feed a family of five or more! The boxes were heavy as the portion size was amply generous. The sides ordered were mac and cheese, collard greens, potato salad, bbq beans, and coleslaw. Cornbread comes with the meal. The ribs are pork ribs with the rib tips still attached. Other places sell the tips separately. (I love rib tips and try to order whenever I see it on a menu.) The ribs here are meaty and juicy. There was four in the combo dinner order. The sauce on them was sweet but had a nice bbq flavor and complemented the ribs well. The meat was tender enough but not quite fall off the bone yet. The tips were fun to eat; eat whatever meat and tasty fat off of them and spit out the rest. Pulled pork is tender and full of porky flavor. The portion was particularly generous; so generous that we were able to make some delicious sandwiches later. Overall, a great pulled pork with their homemade bbq sauce. The chicken consisted of two thighs and three legs in the order. They were meaty pieces. The chicken definitely has a nice smoked flavor. Not bad as an alternative if red meats aren't your thing. The brisket is the star here, I think. So flavorful and tender with a nice smoke ring. If you could only order one meat here, the brisket would be the one to choose. I've had good brisket and I've had bad brisket but this place has great brisket! 'Nuff said. Get the brisket. The sides here were very good. You could almost make a meal with just those. The potato salad was finely textured with small diced potatoes and eggs. A few chopped pickles could be found here and there. The potato salad had a bit of vinegar tartness to balance out the richness of the mayonnaise. Overall, a tasty potato salad. The BBQ beans are in a slightly sweet, tomatoey, peppery sauce. The coleslaw is definitely on the sweeter side but still refreshing and crisp. Collard greens here are also on the sweet side but still had the red pepper sauce and vinegar kick.The mac and cheese was very good with a sharp cheese flavor. The larger elbow macaroni was used and there is a nice black pepper kick in the seasoning. Cornbread was delicious, moist and tender with crisp, browned edges. At the time of this review, Halleluiah BBQ has limited days that they are open during the week so definitely check them out when you can. Great tasting menu items, large portions and reasonably priced. Young men who serve should look more professional as chefs or servers ( clean aprons, long hair braided, pulled back and/or covered). The young man who took my order was knowledgeable of the menu and offered good tips as to what to order. Everything he suggested was good. Gave them three stars because I called several times to order on another day and no one answered the phone. Yelp said they were open so I drove out there (it's kind of far out the side of town). When I arrived, they had a hand written sign on the window that said they were out of barbecue. I told them they should answer the phone so people would know and not come that far for nothing!!! read more
