I have to say Jesus (owner? superintendent?) answers his phone. Imagine that... a landscaper that answers his phone virtually every single time. That alone is kind of remarkable. For this alone, I was going to go with his bid for this yard project. He was very easy to communicate and work with. Jesus was reachable, textable and completed this project in under 30 days after I had to go through the HOA red tap approvals on our plan to remove the tree and convert to from grass to rocks. Happy with the outcome in doing the HOA updates we needed to complete and would call him again if I needed landscaping assistance.

Had CB Desertscapes remove grass and do partial remodel in front yard. This project was…read moreacceptable with the exception of the irrigation and small wall shifting which they did fix. Then had them complete our large back yard, a full remodel. Their original effort was a disaster. My husband and I had to redesign and made the mistake of retaining them to implement the new design (no other company wanted to take on the half finished job). The new design was far beyond their capabilities. Ordering wrong trees, placing trees on top of each other, despite being told where to place. The decorative rock on a wall fell off, irrigation burst in several places so much so that it has to be redone by another company. Mike the owner has the nerve to ask for additional money for a tree he had to remove and replant due to his planting on top of another tree, plus he though it cute to place his garbage out in the front for the regular trash collection to take away but refused due to being oversize and overweight. This resulted in my 80 year old very sick husband having to reload the trash onto his pickup and take all the way to the dump many miles away. This took him over 5 hours in a 100F+ heat and as result he ended up in the emergency room. All Mike could say it was the trash company's fault! Strange since right in his contract he agreed and was paid to take trash away. We withheld $175 from his final payment for the expense of having to complete his trash clean up. Mike continues to insist he is due this payment. Plus it took him over 5 months to complete the yard. One excuse after the other. In fairness it took him one week for the front yard and 1.5 weeks for the original failed attempt at the back yard. He has zero design ideas, does sloppy incomplete work and is not very compliant when it comes to fixing his mistakes. Find someone else. One star is a stretch.

The representative showed us samples of artificial grass. We went to the neighbors house with the representative to see their artificial grass (Advanced Gardening did their landscaping). And we told the representative that we wanted artificial grass. Somehow the artificial grass never made it to the contract and Advanced Gardening made us pay an additional $900 to get the artificial grass. The troubles did not end there. Once the landscaping was done, we decided to wait for Advanced Gardening to tell us the remaining balance to see if they they would be honest with us. Of course, the number they gave us was larger than what we owed. Finally, after the landscaping was complete, we got a letter from our HOA saying that the plan for the landscaping was not approved. We told Advanced Gardening that we would pay our balance once this was fixed. Their response was not to be helpful, but to tell us to not be "nasty" and "unreasonable." Yes, it was very nasty and unreasonable for us to expect them to do their job before we pay them. Buyer beware. You cannot trust this company because they do not keep their word and customer service is certainly not their top priority.
