I was referred by a friend (who also had a great experience here) and I got my timing chain and guides done for my 328i. It was one of the more fairly priced quote for the job so I towed my car from South Orange County for the work. First off, on the phone Fred was patient and nice enough to explain everything that was potentially wrong with my car and issues that may arise in the future. He also then gave me a straight quote for the job requested and sent me pictures and updates along the way. It was really nice seeing the progress pics. Not many mechanics do that. Took my 2015 528i w/ 50K miles to a dealer in Sherman Oaks for an emissions recall and they identified additional problems with collapsing motor mounts and lower front control arm bushings, w/ $3700 estimated repair cost. Bimmers Clinic replaced the front mounts and bushings, plus the collapsing rear subframe bushing the dealer missed, and changed the spark plugs and coolant, all for well under $2500. No wait when I brought the car in. With no prompting from me, owner Fred put the car on a lift to scope out and show me the needed repairs. Bimmers did all the work in a day and a half, as promised. BMW label motor mounts, subframe bushing, and coolant. Lemforder [oem] control arm bushings, Bosch plugs [oem =NGK]. The engine ran smoother, and the suspension felt as solid as new when the work was completed. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommended. read more

My 2018 M2 engine suddenly started hissing and steaming last night. This morning I called Bimmers Clinic based on its positive online reviews. The owner, Frank, said I could bring my car right away which was a huge relief. On arrival, Frank and his technician immediately diagnosed the issue and even had the necessary part in stock. It was fixed in no time for less than $50!!! Frank also checked the codes and provided me with information and options about what to expect and what to fix when (eg, no need to replace the entire, expensive tail light fixture yet). You just got to feel insulted when you actually know something about the job but the person that your trying to hire to do a job starts talking to you like you don't know nothing at all about the job you trying to hire him for. That's definitely a red flag to me & smells like a scammer. So I take my car over to schedule a time to bring it in to get a diagnostic, even though I already know what the problem is, but me telling him isn't enough & he has to do his own diagnostic test. That fine, but when he starts to say that it could be this or it could be that, that tells me that your full of it & your possibly trying to rip me off. I was lucky to be referred a year ago when I bought a 2013 535i from a sketchy dealer and stuff started falling apart in the first week. Bimmers Clinic did a thorough inspection, explained in detail every issue and allowed me to take a ton of photos. We are new to the area, and I did not know where to take my 2014 BMW for a service, I knew I didn't want to take it to the dealer. After a quick look though Fred's reviews, I knew he must be the guy to go to. Amazing experience from start to end.... First problem, Moon roof would not open. Fred Fixed it No Charge! Very reasonable oil and filter and Brake service. Sent me video of my damaged control arm bushings, which he replaced, all in one afternoon. When i picked the car up, it had been washed, and he had cleaned out my wiper wash tank which had become blocked with algae by flushing bleach through. No Charge! I purchased a 20 yr old used BMW 330i in the north LA area, far from where I live. The logistics of inspecting the car, purchasing it, and getting it safely drivable for the 450-mile drive back home is quite involved. It is also intimidating when you don't know anyone locally you can trust. Fortunately, I found Fred and Bimmers Clinic here on Yelp. He performed the pre-purchase inspection and walked me through his findings using mobile video conferencing. The report was thorough and the repair estimates were reasonable and better than in my home area.. Fred explained everything clearly on which specific things needed immediate attention. I knew then I could trust Fred and the quality of the shop's work. I proceeded to purchase the car and had it dropped off at Bimmers Clinic for the repairs. Fred showed me the completed repairs through video conference and that everything was done cleanly. To complicate things a bit, the car also needed new tires, but they don't sell tires. Fred helped me out further by dropping my car off at a nearby tire shop after the repairs were done. This saved me time so I could just fly in and pick up the car and drive back home without having to stay in town overnight. This whole process went better than I expected thanks to Fred and his team at Bimmers Clinic. I'm lucky to find quality work, reasonable prices, and great customer service from a shop I can trust in an area that is new to me. Initially, I brought my bmw here for a simple oil change. They did a great job. A few weeks later the car had an unusual smell coming from under the hood. I knew this was the place to diagnose it. They figured it out and said to give them a couple days. I also wanted a new windshield installed as I am gifting the car to my mom and the little pits in the windshield would cause too much glare for her. The next day I got a call saying the car was ready and they found a way to save money from the original estimate (which was already more than reasonable). These guys are fantastic. They are honest, reliable, and their prices are fair. The E60 M5 has long been on my 'list' so when I came across a rather rare example (Carbon Black & 2010, final year the E60 was produced) I decided to buy it out-of-state sight unseen (having ordered a 3rd party inspection, which I learned is no guarantee..). At first it seemed that my gamble was turning into a disaster as the within a mile of being unloaded from the transport truck the M5 began leaking oil profusely and the engine bay was soaked in oil -- making it impossible to easily tell where the problem points were. All I could do was order a tow truck and pray the engine had not lost enough oil to begin eating itself. Fred and the Bimmers Clinic team saved the day. They diagnosed the root cause -- a cracked oil cooler that had been laughably 'repaired' in an attempt to conceal the issue. They steam cleaned the engine bay and identified a few additional less pressing issues for me to put on my radar and get sorted in the near future. They took the car in on short 'emergency' notice and really went above and beyond to help me out of a stressful situation. Their shop is CLEAN. Their staff were very welcoming and genuine enthusiasts. I'm very happy to have found them and encourage you to give them a chance to earn your business. read more

Came in for an oil change on my E92 M3. Fred and his team were extremely welcoming, kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. They started working on my car right away to make sure I was in and out! They walked me through the entire car during a multi-point inspection and explained a few things that are coming due as well. Fred is very passionate about cars. I just had my X3 serviced by Fred and his team at Bimmers Clinic. The experience could not have been smoother. I had messaged Fred a few days ago on Yelp to get more information and he was accommodating to my schedule to get me in quickly. When I arrived, Fred walked me through how to see what needed attention on my car through my dash screen (oil check, general service) and gave me a very fair price - I have full confidence that I was not taken advantage of here (which in the past I've felt since I don't know much about cars and it's easy to tell someone like me that something "must" be done to their vehicle). Better yet, the service only took 40 minutes! I'm so used to it taking hours at a BMW dealership service shop and having to return back for my car after work. Fred offered me coffee, cold water, room temp water, etc. and had a nice spacious, shaded patio for me to read while I waited. They even washed the exterior of the car as well.
