Every single time I tried to schedule a groom or boarding, there were issues. What should have been a simple process turned into a drawn-out, frustrating experience with poor communication and no clear answers. To make things worse, after multiple attempts to get something scheduled, they claimed they "didn't like my tone" and refused to allow me to make a reservation at all. I've never experienced anything like that. Instead of trying to resolve the situation or help a customer, they chose to shut the door completely. Customer service is where they completely fall apart. Responses are slow, often rude or dismissive, and there's zero sense of urgency or accountability. It genuinely feels like they don't value their customers. At this point, it's hard to tell if they even care about having customers at all, let alone new ones. Do yourself a favor and avoid 2nd Family Dog at all costs. There are plenty of other businesses out there that will treat you with respect and actually make the process easy.

He's also an escape artist and after seeing the secure fencing felt that he would be totally safe at LSDR. At home Ollie wears the Whistle device on his collar. It tracks his location and activity distance. I asked if he could wear it during his stay there and they were so accommodating! They even charged up the device for us! We saw a couple of photos they posted of Ollie on Facebook. I could totally relax while we were out of town because I knew Ollie was having so much fun. My cat had to be immediately hospitalized after picking her up on 10/4/25 until 10/10/25 due to severe dehydration, loss of over 20% of her body weight and kidney failure (no history of kidney issues). The owner and staff are highly unprofessional and did not pay for any of my cat's medical bills, even though the manager said they would. The manager stated my cat was "locked up" the entire stay and said she was sorry. Tailwaggers falsely advertised that they have highly trained staffed, a "dietician" on staff and that a topical medication to my cat's ear would be applied. My cat suffered horribly. Steer clear from this place!

After trying a couple vets in Dallas, the urgent care vet referred me to Atlas for specialty support. We were there a lot and while we made progress, her bloodwork was still not great. And then her brother randomly got fluid in his belly. They were great about seeing me ASAP the week before a holiday and diagnosed him with FIP. They worked to get him medication that day from a local pharmacy on a weekend too. Unfortunately, FIP is still very fatal and he passed away a few days later. They were so kind when I told them. After his sister kept throwing up, we decided to treat her for FIP too. And she ended up doing so well! FIP only got an approved treatment last year, so many vets are not experienced with it. But Dr. (Daniel) Anthony was good about checking her progress and working with me on the most cost effective way to handle the many vet visits and lab work. I'm happy to share that she's officially cleared FIP treatment and observation protocol and she finally had normal bloodwork last month. She is super playful and loved to torment her big cat brother. We held off on her vaccines and spay because of everything, but she will be going to them next month for this too. I never have to wait long once I arrive and the front desk is always friendly. I'm not sure I'll be able to keep going for her regular visits since I live in South Dallas and the trek to Frisco is a lot, but their Saturday hours are a savior and if I lived closer, I'd stay a client forever.
