Set in a repurposed gas station, Bing's Burger Station serves delicious, high quality burgers and fries. We originally thought this would be typical drive-in fare, but the quality and freshness exceeded my expectations. It's really a step above most other similar greasy diner and drive-in establishments. Burgers here are extremely customizable. To save time waiting in line, Bing's provides slips of paper by the counter to fill in for ease of ordering. Simply fill one out and pay at the register to get an order started. A lot of items seem to be made fresh to order, so the food took about 20 minutes to arrive. Deluxe Burger, Bacon Jam, Mayo, Lettuce, Onion, Tomato, Pickle ($10.25) - This is a huge burger, tall enough to make it difficult to compress enough to fit in the mouth. They use pretty high quality ingredients here and seem to hand cut the veggies. The lettuce is nice and crisp, the tomato is thick cut and fresh, the red onion is an entire slice instead of rings. The pickles are much larger than typical chips but still have that kind of neon-green sheen to them. Mayo is only spread on the top bun slice, enough to lubricate the burger, but not too much to become too messy to eat. The burger patty is excellent. It seems to be made from fresh beef and then only slightly smashed from a ball on the flat top. It's a THICK patty, served piping hot with good char and robust beefy flavor. The interior is cooked until well done with no pink, but it's not dried out at all, and there's more than enough moisture coming from the other ingredients to balance it out. The bacon jam that I added for $1 is a fantastic addition. It's sweet from sugars and caramelized onion and full of bacon umami. The burger as a whole isn't very greasy at all. (5/5) Large Hand Cut Fries ($6) - The fries are relatively thin, shoestring-like, fried to a darker golden brown giving a good caramelized potato flavor. The interiors remain mostly fluffy, although some of the smaller fries approach being dry. The exteriors are mostly crisp, but much softer than, say, battered fries. The fries are appropriately salted and peppered, meaning that they are nice to eat without any accompanying ketchup or other dip. They are on the more oily side compared to some other places. (4/5) Bing's serves food with really fresh flavors. It's simple fare, but very high quality. I'd definitely return for more if I'm ever back in town. Gotta love a place that has a malt! We stopped by for lunch on our way home from a hike in Sedona and it perfectly hit the spot. It's a very laid back old timey diner vibe and they have lots of options for different kinds of fries, shakes, burgers and sandwiches. The restaurant was clean and the food came out quickly. I would have given them a 3.5 but still not a bad experience. Burger was good but the union rings and sweet potato fries were a little soggy which is why the lower score. As far as the place it's self it had a cool vintage aesthetic style. The interior is as a old school dinner. Folks were friendly even though they seemed a little tired. Probably the weekend was winding down since it was as a Sunday. Outdoor patio was as perfect. We did order 2 cocktails tasted ok but lacked a little oomph! Over all just an average experience. I ordered the double burger and their fries. With the basic trimmings of lettuce tomato onions and pickle. The 6oz homemade patties are terrific. As good as homemade. To drink I ordered a chocolate shake laced with a tasty chocolate and caramel sauce without whipped cream. Very tasty. I haven't been here for several years and truly missed the place. I rolled into Cottonwood a few days early before attempting the Sedona Canyon 125 (again!), and all I could think about was finding a really good burger. Enter: Bings Burger Station -- and wow, did it deliver. This spot is a legit gem. According to the friendly cashier, the building used to be a gas station back in the 1940s, and it still has that cool retro vibe. Instead of pumping gas, they're now fueling hungry adventurers like me with seriously satisfying food. Ordering is done via what I like to call the "single sheet" system -- you pick your burger (or alternative) and then check off your toppings and sides. Simple, fun, and efficient. The main cook (and maybe the owner?) was super welcoming and helpful. He even brought over a little extra cup of Bings Secret Sauce for the table. What's in it? Nice try. I'm sworn to secrecy. You'll have to go try it yourself. My burger was cooked to perfection -- juicy, flavorful, and held together beautifully in its sturdy bun. My three friends at the table said the same about theirs. Came here all the way from Queen Creek for the day with my grandma and two brothers. Walked inside, and from the inside, everything looks super 50s style and I love that! There were classic signs and old license plates everywhere. This actually used to be an old gas station until 2009, which it was then converted into Bings. Everyone is super nice, got to watch them make the food, which I love to see that. Now--the food. My grandma ordered a BLT and Fries, which she really enjoyed and said she would definitely get it again. My two brothers ordered a salad and a double deluxe burger. The salad is huge btw, which keep in mind that it can feed 2-3 people! I ordered a deluxe burger, a cream soda, and onion rings. All three were awesome! The burger was nice and hot, plus the cream soda brought back memories. My two brothers enjoyed their foods as well! They both liked their salad and burger. Sunday afternoon lunch (3/29), and they were pretty busy. That's not a big deal. I ordered a burger, sweet potato fries, and a chocolate shake. I was surprised to see the burger was very well done, considering if it came off the grill sooner, they could cook more for the waiting crowd. The sweet potato fries were good and crispy. The chocolate shake had a funny taste to it - not a normal chocolate taste. You could ask why I didn't bring the burger back to the counter. If you are craving a milkshake or malt, and you know the difference real ice cream makes in a drink, you will LOVE this place. Not only do they use real ice cream, you can pick from a list of mix ins, like oreos, butterfingers, etc. My hubby had a chocolate malt and it was heavenly. I had the oreo cookie shake, and it was hands down the best I've had. I wasn't a super fan of the chicken tenders. They tasted a little fishy, I thought they may have been fried in the same oil used to fry the fish and chips. They also had a lovely lemon cucumber water. So fun to revisit a vintage Texaco service station complete with the "clean restrooms " entered from the outside (except these really are clean!). The restaurant is imaginative, immaculate and has a friendly generous vibe. Basically serves hamburgers customized to your preference, hot dogs, sandwiches, fries, onion rings, handmade milkshakes and scoops of quality ice cream. They have vintage sodas and also cocktails. Food was delivered quickly and was delicious not to mention well-priced. We split a wonderful cheeseburger with several toppings, a small fries, a chocolate shake and a coffee -- plenty for the two of us. Cute looking place! We walked in at 8:20 and were told we had 10 minutes to order and could take it to go if we wanted so we wouldn't feel rushed. But didn't hand us a menu. Lol. Take to the counter to order & pay. Take a seat and they will bring it out. Party of 5 & it was a little pricey for a burger place but no complaints on the food. We order a variety of food from burgers, chicken, & shakes. Everything was delicious. We did have a slight mishap where they forgot our avacado but that was quickly brought out. This establishment has a nice history behind the location and restaurant so it was nice to support the town and learn of it. Another fun option they have is a large selection of drinks available for those interested in a cocktail or add some booze to your shake! I've been a frequent visitor for several years now. If I am heading up North for a few days, I make sure to stop in Cottonwood for a burger, shake, & fries from Bing's! The diner itself is magical- it takes you back to the 50s with the decor & atmosphere. The food is excellent- the burgers are large, you can custom order any toppings, and the fries are shoe-string (best type of fry!). The owner is often in the establishment assisting his team with serving, cooking, and entertaining visitors. I highly recommend this place as it's a rare find nowadays! read more

After I placed my order and paid for it I looked on the receipt and discovered they charged me 3% to use my credit card. There was no disclosure ahead of time that there was a surcharge. And to add insult to injury they charged me sales tax on the surcharge. Man, they get you coming and going. On the upside, the price they charged for the food was reasonable. OK so I'm editing my review. Originally I gave it a one star because I was so irritated about that sneaky surcharge. But my son really liked the hamburger so I'm raising it up to two stars.
