LOVE. THIS. PLACE. We had breakfast there every day of our trip, except Sunday when they were closed. Absolutely delicious food, hearty portions, beautiful pastries, and we bought extra iced teas through the day to take back to our Airbnb. My favorite was their veggie sandwich, and my mom got the veggie panini and chicken salad sandwich. Our server was so friendly and welcoming, and the inside is very cute, but we loved sitting outside on their little sidewalk tables. We stopped for a quick breakfast and absolutely fell in love with this family owned cafe. We learned through talking with one of the wait staff (who was charming) that his mom and dad are the owners. His mother worked there for 26 years and then bought the restaurant 8 years ago. Turns out this young man is their son. Great example of true entrepreneur spirit and the generational impact. Oh...then the food came. My wife and I split a breakfast burrito and a slice of homemade banana nut bread. It was delicious. Highly recommend to all visiting the Cottonwood/Sedona area. read more

We were on our way to Sedona and we wanted to grab something easy and filling for the ride. The ambiance was pretty straight forward and clean for a little cafe and the service was nice and attentive. I ordered the strawberry salad as a wrap and my partner had a breakfast burrito. My strawberry salad wrap was flavorful. My only complaint was that there was minimal chicken or cheese in there or any of the other toppings as described and predominantly lettuce lol. my partners breakfast burrito was okay. I felt like it has way too much egg and not enough of the other ingredients. I was glad to stop by and support a local spot but I don't believe that I would return. read more

First off, this place was swamped! So so so busy. Yeah, it was a weekend, but it was so crowded in there we debated about going in. Then we figured, it must be crowded for a reason... maybe it's THAT good. We weren't disappointed! With my limitations I asked them to make my latte with my own syrup - which they had no problem with. They even added a yummy sprinkle of cinnamon to the top. Mmmmmm... The guy who made it was a hoot - hilarious! They were so personable. We actually tried to go here again but ended up at a different coffee shop in town due to not remembering the name of this place... until we left the other one. ‍‍ It will definitely be a stop again next time we're in Cottonwood! read more

Cozy and funky Cozy and funky. It's not the highest standard but it hit the spot that day. For Cottonwood it's a top destination and it will do if I'm in Cwood for breakfast again. Staff was friendly and place was funky. I don't need gourmet, but I do like quality ingredients. I used to live in a farm with a lot of chickens and I'm an egg snob. We ate here every morning as we stayed at the Tavern Inn in Cottonwood, AZ in April 2022. They have vouchers for discounts breakfast or complimentary black coffee and a baked good. We tried a few things and these were our favorites: Breakfast Burrito Enchilada style- ask for extra sauce as it can be a little dry if no meat. This was tasty and super filling. Bread pudding French toast or banana bread French toast (can't recall and didn't take a pic of menu) - either way it was evil and decadent! Get this if you have a sweet tooth! We are local and never knew this little hidden cafe existed until a friend mentioned it. The food is fresh and tasty, and the only negative is some things were a bit heavy on the salt. The Decaf cappuccino had great micro foam but the espresso was strangely bitter. The staff are lovely, attentive and seemed to always be in motion, no slackards there. First time at Old Town Cafe in Cottonwood. Quaint and cozy locally owned establishment located in Old Town Cottonwood. Fresh baked goods,sandwiches, salads and burritos. Opted for the breakfast burrito and coffee outside for sidewalk dining. Burrito included sausage, bacon, bell pepper, onion and cheese.served with an orange slice and salsa. While staying in Cottonwood to celebrate my 65th birthday, we stopped in for lunch. Everyone in our group raved about their items.....strawberry salad, chicken salad, almond croissants (made on demand!), turkey sandwich....all so fresh and delicious. To my surprise, a day later my daughter went back and asked if they could make a birthday cake. They apparently used to make cakes but became too busy and had to discontinue those orders to focus on their cafe. However, the owner's wife offered to make one for this special occasion. Everyone surprised me after a birthday dinner with this amazing white cake covered in white icing and fresh fruit on the top. Oh my goodness was it ever beautiful and delicious!! When we left this restaurant we were driving over the mountain through Jerome to Prescott. I told my husband to drive very carefully, because I would be very pissed if this were my last meal! I've been going to this cafe for a year or two now. The food and pastries are wonderful, as well as the coffee. Not only is it wonderful but it is also quick service. The staff is so sweet and kind. It's a small cafe but very welcoming and has soft music playing in the background. Unfortunately, due to it being in old town the Wi-Fi is not the best, so I would recommend bringing a book or friend instead! Either than that I have nothing bad to say about them! I was referred to this cafe after visiting a local winery. When he told me they make amazing French pastries, quiches, and feature new salads daily I was in! It's a cute, but very small place, especially when weather does not enable outdoor dining. I am sorry I can't give more than 3-stars, since two out of three dishes were inadequate. First of all, this is a cafe. Seems obvious that good quality coffee should be found there. Well, it is not. I had a latte which simply had no flavor at all. They put some chocolate sprinkles on top, so of course you could taste that, but no coffee flavor behind that. The vegetarian croissant breakfast sandwich was excellent. But the potatoes were undercooked and crazy-loaded with garlic. They should do better, they really should. By the way, they are the only place that I'm aware of in Cottonwood where you can get some French pastries, such as a mini fruit tart. We generally think of such desserts as an after-dinner item. But the place closes at 3 pm. So you have to get your French pastry at breakfast-time, even though it's not a breakfast food. If there's anybody paying attention there, please fix the coffee situation. I don't know if it's a poor brand of coffee, or whether their machine is not being run right, but something needs to be fixed. read more

Our neighbors recommended trying this for breakfast. It was excellent. I had the breakfast burrito which was delicious and filling. Our first morning, we had Todd, who was very attentive and took good care of us. We had the coffee, muffin, one pancake and a breakfast sandwich with bacon and the fruit skewer, along and a mocha. Everything was very good. We were pleasantly surprised how good the pancake was as my husband is very fussy about his pancakes. I was worried the bacon would have a spicy cake, but the cake is very minimal. The bacon was delicious! Our second day was not as good of an experience as we had a younger server who was not at the level of Todd. We laid our vouchers on the side of the table, just as we had done the day before, and this he completely missed them and brought our bill with full charges. Therefore, he had to go back and redo the bill. He didn't seem fully awake. LOL. He also was not as friendly as Todd. Next time we go, we will ask for Todd. This time, we got the latte and muffin, and also shared the traditional breakfast with bacon and fruit. It was perfect for splitting.. we will definitely come back again next time we are in town. This is a really cute café.
