The Good and the Bad... I am giving this review a 5-start…read morerating only because the good far outweighed the bad... GOOD Ophthalmic Medical Eye Tech Tim...he was exceptional! He was patient, kind, personable, and so dedicated. He took the time to understand my particular issues and concerns and answered my questions and explained things in a way that made sense. Dr. Tadrus...he was so nice, focused, and attentive to my specific medical needs and gave thorough guidance and recommendations for my care. Ophthalmic Assistant Stephanie...she was friendly, efficient, and proficient in her job. BAD Front Desk Male Receptionist...rude, abrupt and condescending. Call/Appointment Scheduler Resceptionist: Unfamiliar with basic services/exam components offered by the doctors. It required me asking to speak to an ophthalmic tech to ensure I would be getting all the specific exams/tests necessary for my particular issue.

The services provided and staff are outstanding but there is ONE company policy that makes me want…read moreto find another provider simply out of principle. They encourage purchasing their eye glasses -- got it. However, if you wish to purchase your eye glasses elsewhere they retain your Pupillary Distance (PD) number (two-digit millimeter measurement) from your prescription and charge $35 for this information. Mind you, this process takes them no more than 2 minutes and is part of your appointment regardless. And this number is part of MY PRESCRIPTION. This would be like your primary care provider retaining the dosage from your prescribed medication if you do not purchase from their pharmacy and charging you outside of your insurance coverage as an extra fee. This should be illegal or something. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!

Two patients in my family had eye exams here, and neither was automatically given their eyeglass…read moreprescription after the appointment. They both left with no prescriptions in hand! We only received the prescriptions after my daughter had to call and request them. When the prescriptions were finally emailed, the PD/pupillary distance was missing from both prescriptions. When I called after my daughter had called to request the PD, I was told the patient had to come back in person and sign something before the PD could be released. This is extremely inconvenient and unnecessary, especially when the patient needs glasses and cannot see clearly. Their glasses were also very expensive, the frame selection for my husband was very limited, and our insurance did not cover the glasses there, so we had to purchase glasses elsewhere. The missing prescription information and PD runaround made that process so much harder than it needed to be. Patients should leave an eye exam with their prescription without having to ask or sign anything, and they should not have to jump through extra hoops just to buy glasses somewhere else. The process felt like a lack of transparency and a barrier to shopping for glasses outside of their office. I would not recommend this office to anyone wo wants a simple, clear, and patient-friendly experience. By the way, I still do not have the PD to any of my husband's or daughter's prescription and probably won't get it. FYI - The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) says patients must receive their eyeglass prescription immediately after the exam, at no extra charge, without having to ask, so they can shop around. The FTC says suspected Eyeglass Rule violations should be reported at ReportFraud.ftc.gov

I questioned what they…read morewere asking me to pay and I was told I couldn't because it was disrespectful towards Dr Brock? Not to mention the rude receptionist she mispronounced my name and when I corrected her she said "whatever ". I'm still in disbelief that people in a doctors office would be so unprofessional.
