Been a customer for quite a while. I recently placed a custom order and paid over the phone. Fast foward 2 weeks and 4 phone calls later I drove 45 minutes to pick up my order when I got there the receptionist told me they could not find my order that it must of gotten lost so she refunded my money. I am beyond satisfied with my shower door and the windows in the sunroom I had them fixed. A guy came out and measured same day I called. Excellent! Needed 2 large round glass pieces cut for a table. Most places in town can only cut straight angles and have to order rounded glass from a specialty place so they charge an upcharge and it takes weeks to get in. Binswanger had the lowest quote (out of 6 or 7 places) and were extremely prompt. Jonathan was really polite and even carried the glass out to my car and loaded it for me. Quoted us a RIDICULOUS amount of money to fix a VERY simple shower glass door issue. Was told by the company who makes the part that the fix was simple and cheap and Binswanger came back to us with a $500 quote including $230 for a "residential construction" fee to do the simple repair. I suggest you look elsewhere for any smaller issues you may need fixed. Took us a few extra calls around to find our perfect match and the door has been fixed perfectly for a fraction of what Binswanger wanted. read more

PLEASE BE FOR-WARNED!!!! These people WILL NOT tell you upfront that if they break your glass while it is in their care, they WILL NOT replace or reimburse you for your glass that they broke!!! I had a 1/2" thick piece of glass 8'x4' with beveled edges I took up there for them to cut down for me. While cutting the glass they broke it. Our insurance company contacted them to do an on site chipped window repair on our RV. Talked to Tanya and she assured me the technician would call in the morning to schedule it. Horrible. A customer of mine called on Saturday due to a door glass breaking. They were told the cost would be 380 total. The installer shown up and was told by me that the work would be on my insurance and he said NO PROBLEM. I asked about the cost and he confirmed 440 total with materials. Now they are threatening to remove the glass that is already installed and want to charge 1000.00 for the work. well, I told the collector that calls about 1 time every 7 days may be that I am putting this on my insurance and they refuse to take the insurance so I am now working with my company to send them the check. It took a week and a half to even get the number to call their office. Stear clear of this company!!! read more

If there were 10 stars to give the Plano Binswagner team, I would do so! Recently, I decided to remodel my master bath in a North Dallas home. Decided to go frameless. This was not easy as the shower is large and an odd shape. Binswagner was out to my home at least 5 times prior to installation to insure that the measurements were correct. They gave specific instructions to my contractor before the tile was in place. However, after the glass was installed, the shower leaked badly. They immediately came back. It was obvious that the contractor messed up. And,by that point I had also fired the contractor. Binswagner took the glass down at NO additional charge. The new contractor then worked hand-in-hand with the installers. Again, multiple visits to make sure that measurements were correct. When the installers came back to put the glass up, it did not fit! No one could figure it out! Binswanger, however, re-cut new glass to get the job done correctly. Again, at NO additional charge! The customer service from the entire team was outstanding. Their commitment to getting this job done correctly and at no additional cost to me, was frankly unbelievable! The entire team from the manager to receptionist, were professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. It is rare to find a vendor with a true commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction that is also price-competitive. I highly recommend them. It is a decision you will not regret! read more

After setting up an appointment a week ahead, the person coming to measure and provide an estimate never showed up. I even called earlier that day to confirm appointment. When I called the office after he was 1.5 hours late, I was told he would be there in another 1-1.5 hours (total of 3 hours late). No one ever called me to say he was running late. In fact, no one has ever called me about rescheduling the appointment. If the salesman can't be professional enough to show up, I can't trust that the installation will ever happen. I called to make an appointment for someone to come give me an estimate for replacing three small windows with one large window and to also measure for a shower door and panel. I was told someone would be there between 2:00 and 4:00 and would call when they were on their way. I left work in order to meet them, they never showed nor did they call. read more

Had them install a frameless shower. Lots of problems. 1) Glass was damaged. They didn't notice until they had partially installed. Had to wait for new glass.2) Large gap between glass and wall. They measured with tile installed so adjustment should have been made. They say nothing they can do. 3). Leaking around brackets. So far 2 tries to fix. read more

We had several exterior windows replaced on a commercial building that were a special order item. After getting the run-around from a couple of other places, Binswanger knew exactly what to order and got the windows as quickly as possible. After a week I called to follow up and was told that my glass would not be ready until the following week. Their products are better than what we previously used and the price was about 30% less than the inferior materials. As if that was not enough, the service is impeccable and the staff is delightful. On the rare occasion that the product was wrong, Binswanger quickly replaced it with the correct product. There was even a time when Binswanger gave me a very good price, but the job was more difficult than anticipated. Binswanger ate the loss and never said a word to me.
