I have visited this location twice now. The location itself is extremely clean and well kept. The staff is extremely friendly and thoroughly explain the whole process as a first time donor. My only complain is that this location is extremely busy and seems to be understaffed as it can take up to two hours to finish donating. It's awesome that they compensate you for your time but I really wish the process could be done a lot quicker. My first time it took three hours to get my physical and finish donating. The second time they barely hooked me up to the machine after an hour after my appointment. Be sure to account for this when you come to donate, it can take longer than expected. read more

First, I made an appointment online and waiting at least 20 min past that time while staff was just standing around. Then, when it came time to take my picture, I had to contort myself against a wall because there couldn't be people in the background. The way they have everything set up makes it impossible to not have anyone in the background unless they contort themselves oddly. The final straw was my "vein check." This is where I was told that I couldn't donate because of my full sleeve tattoo. Because they need to be able to "see" two veins. I've had numerous phlebotomists over the years take blood from that arm- no problem. But, people that only do that all day have to be able to see the vein. I was then dismissed. After 45 min of waiting and paperwork fill out. And of course, that policy is not indicated beforehand which means you have to go through the whole process to be rejected. Funny enough, I got a text inviting me back.... because they don't check their automated system against people who have been rejected. read more

Went 3 days ago for the first time and all the staff who I met was very friendly. Had a pleasant experience but unfortunately I was only able to do the physical. My donation was rescheduled due to the time which I didn't mind. Today I got there if anything 2 minutes late asked the reception what I needed to do. (Reminder there is a "10 minute grace time). She sent me to do the questionnaire and the questionnaire sent me back to an employee. Since the receptionist was busy I sat back down, went to the restroom and when I came back out I just waited for a receptionist to assist me, I wasn't able to get the receptionists name but by the time Chloe saw me it was about 15 minutes into my appt. She doesn't work in the front but saw me waiting and helped me out as best as she could; very nice young lady. She spoke to the receptionist who guided me only for her to basically talk negative about me to her saying I was late and she wasn't going to see me. The only person who saw me walk in, that could've vouched for me was a few feet away talking about me and I'm standing there listening to everything. This receptionist with the orange hair was very unprofessional. I could've called the supervisor and made a scene but I'm not that type of person, I know review hurt more. We are all in need of money right now and for that same reason I wouldn't encourage you not to go here but I hope you have a better experience. Careful with this receptionist, she definitely doesn't deserve a raise if they ever considered it. read more

Looks very clean but they have you go through over an hour of screening and toward the end of the screening they ask if you have any auto immune diseases, if so you cannot donate. Wish they ask that question when you walk through the door, rather than them have you give all your info, poke you to check your blood levels, and the list goes on for an hour. Normally I would leave this place 4-5 stars, but this time I can't. They are BEYOND understaffed and overbooking appointments. There is no socially distancing and have so many people waiting on top of each other just to be screened with only 2 workers doing screenings. Plan to wait at least 45 minutes if you go after 3pm. How can management allow that to happen or not have enough staff especially during COVID? read more

This place deserves 0 stars. Walked in to see about doing my physical and was greeted with an unwelcoming greet. Asked about doing physical and to donate and was right away with a snappy attitude was told that I had to schedule one. Went on to try and ask just a simple question how to change my donation center on the app and was rudely interrupted and then just walked away from me. Went to computer to try and figure it out on my own when was greeted again with another unwelcome tone. And was told that I was the one being rude and if I was to be that way again I was to be removed from the center. So I went on to explain the situation to the manager and again was being ignored and told they was busy and had other people to deal with. Been a long time donor back in Iowa where the customer service is so... much better. Then come to Arizona and be talked to like your a piece of trash. Will not return. Will take my donations to CSL or Octapharma where people are treated with respect and have better wait rooms and tvs for the donors so they feel more comfortable. Appointment times are very strict. I was told that my babysitter not showing up was not an emergency. Really? I should leave my kids home alone or bring them along? I arrived 20 min late and they had no ability to work me in. I waited more than an hour. I know that several appointments after me didn't show either but I couldn't have those slots. They refused to work with me despite my willingness to work with them. I offered to wait in the car for hours if they would call me with any opening but they just kept telling me they were booked. They say they appreciate their donors but they refused to work with me. read more

BIOLIFE PLASMA SERVICES -- I am a monogamous gay man who has been married to my husband of 28 years and wasted two and a half hours at BioLife Plasma Services. If they do not accept donations of PLASMA from LGBTQ people, there should be a Large sign at the entry which states such -- WAY before AN LGBTQ person wastes so much time going through the entire intake process...to find out at the end of the laborious process that they do not accept LGBTQ people. BioLife Plasma Services must prominently display a like NO LGBTQ Donations Accepted on its website to notify the community that they are not welcome. I wonder if BioLife Plasma Services is liable for poking me for a sample of my blood without such PRE-Screening INFO being available for me to see prior to submitting to the violation (BTW, other than being in a stable monogamous gay relationship, my blood sample qualified as perfect for plasma donation). I don't know who needs to take this up with the Supreme Court. That was discrimination which I (a 60+ year old man) experienced today. Today was my first donation at BioLife but it was my second time going. Yesterday I had an appointment at 5pm to make a first time donation. I've read all the reviews about this location and I have to say, everyone was extremely nice and answered all the questions I had no matter how silly or stupid they may have been. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I do need the money and I was excited to see a $80 per my first 5 donations and I thought why not. I arrived on time for my first donation and waited to be seen. They are busy! Which in my mind is a good sign. I start my exam process. Finger prick, arm check, then questionnaire. Passed all that, now on to the physical. Mind you, at this point it's been about one and a half hours. In the physical, the nurse asked when was the last time I ate? I said 3:30. She said, "since it's been more than three hours since you've eaten, you shouldn't donate today but you can come back tomorrow and donate. You will not have to do this again." A little bit frustrating but I understand. So I made a appointment to come back the following day(today). Today I got in, scanned my finger. "Please see attendant" Le sigh.... I go the attendant she clears things up. Sweet. Answer questionnaire again(must complete every donation) and on to my finger prick. They give me my card to receive my $80 after I donate. Awesome!!! Get through all that and now I'm off to my donation chair! Sweet!! The phlebotomist was good. Found my vein easy Peezy. I gots them good veins. 45 mins in the chair and I was done donating. On to my 15 minute wait to make sure I'm good and not going to pass out. Felt fine. After 15 mins they let me go. First successful donation complete! I leave. **One hour later(French accent)** I pop out my BioLife donation card to activate them money's.... Card not assigned to me.. uhhhhh whaaaa... Wanted to call them tonight but of course it's past opening hours. Going to call tomorrow first thing and ask wth? Well not actually like that but you get the point. I'm not mad, just disappointed. I will however be back for all (at least) 5 donation to get that $400!!! Hopefully these next four go smoothly. If you've read this far I salute you. You have the patience needed to donate plasma. It rarely works correctly & for the last 2 days it has been down and the website is down also. I've been coming to this BioLife for over two years now and it's always been a positive experience. The place is clean and efficient and although it can get backed up with long lines of people waiting to donate, if you have a little patience it's not too bad. And the compensation they pay you for your plasma is excellent. I've paid a lot of bills just with money made from donating. And the staff is pretty friendly, although one lady in particular, Annalese, who was super nice and a real doll, unfortunately is no longer working here. Overall, it's a great experience. read more

Process to be allowed to donate was very tedious. They had me contact my doctor for one thing after another and never got back to me. I know my blood is okay because they checked it and said so. I don't think that they wanted me for some reason. Never told me why. Maybe I'm too old (67). Finally I just gave up after trying again at a different location and getting similar treatment. read more

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at BioLife. As a stay at home mom looking to make a little extra cash, BioLife has been a lifesaver. They have free babysitting! Before last month I haven't been able to donate since before my daughter was born 5 years ago. The staff are all extremely friendly and the facility it's self is very clean! I have never had to wait, even my first day was less than 2 hours and when I donated at other places before the first day was usually at least 5 hours. Highly recommend. read more

And when they made a mistake they paid you for the full donation. Waste of everyone's time. This is the worse location I have ever been to in my donation history! I have been to MANY BIOPLASMA locations and this is far the worse. It's literally waiting in every aspect even to get the iv needle out. I was waiting for over 25 mins. Needing to badly badly to use the restroom. They told me they didn't hand out tags yet so one had a tagged and cut me. Then I'm jus waiting for a bed and seeing everyone wait so long for a bed and to get the donation process started. This location is just so unorganized and so slow. I'm very upset I had to sit so long with the needle , machine going off and just being ignored by the employees. I get they are busy and short staffed but do they understand we sit here for over an hour and need to use the restroom? They literally have no cut off for the amount of people that can be booked into one time slot now. It's crazy! I understand there is a shortage of plasma but that is no excuse to have absolutely no consideration for the patients time. I take time out of my day to come donate for a good cause and you can't even do me the decency respecting the appointment time you had me book. Why not just let people walk in if your going to make them wait at least 30 min after their appointment to even check in. I was a 'first' timer on Wednesday, 7.7.21....went through all the preliminary tests & questions...came time for the physical part & Jonathan just kept asking me all sorts of strange questions, like when did I faint last & about my surgeries....the last being in April of 2000...but I got disqualified for a laminectomy, cervical disc removal, I had done in September 1989...that's 32 years ago...in our conversation I did mention some political issues of mine & he wasn't professional enough to not let that not affect his decision...1 or 2 of the staff do the job of three people...not a good atmosphere to work. read more

Wow this place is terrible!! I came in the first time with all my info and didn't pass the iron test. No problem I've done that before. Granted I had two staff members argue what the next step of my process was, obviously not on the same page. On my way out they said "when you come back don't worry about bringing your info because you have a profile." Thank goodness I came back before 14 days because nobody mentioned you have to start all over. However I had to re prove my address so I brought up my W-2 which is a second address I receive mail that didn't match my original piece of mail. You would have thought I was being investigated by the CIA. Three different people questioning my address. I receive my W-2s and pay stubs here so I hope it's a good address! The third person to question me asks who told me I didn't need to re verify asks what the person looked like. I explained it was the person at the front desk at the last date and time of my appointment. Apparently they don't keep track of their own staff and asked for a description. I gave a general race and age description of a person I spoke to for 5 seconds tops. The woman then asked if the person had braids. I stated I didn't remember and she replied with an extremely condescending "You can't remember if someone has braids or not?" You caught me ma'am, I didn't memorize all of your staff's hair styles. I didn't pass the blood test again (no issue tests are tests), but never told me what actually failed. I had to call a different facility to get the explanation that my protein was off. There were quite a few more problems, but this is already long enough. Long story short, it's not worth the money to deal with this company and clearly some burned out staff! read more
