I signed up with a bunch of coworkers so we could donate plasma and get back to the community. It says two forms of ID so the first one I brought was A Arizona drivers license. The second one was a passport card. They said the passport card wasn't good enough even though it's on their website so I provide them With another piece of ID. They said that's not sufficient then they wanted my Social Security card which I don't carry with me but I had a picture of it on my phone, front and back that was not acceptable and they needed a W-2 so I uploaded my W-2s for all three of my jobs and of course it only shows the last four of my socials, which is not good enough they are not clear on their website and the woman at the front desk not only has a mask over her mouth Language is very difficult to understand then get someone else who tries to explain it but basically now they wanna run my Social Security number, despite showing them three different W-2s, my passport card, my drivers license, and a picture of front and back of my Social Security card. The website is not clear and or they are not going by it. So far all bad!!!!!! are you able to help me because my appointment is five minutes before his and he seems to be quite further along and needs to verify my social. Apparently Andrea-Marie let me grab my purse. I'm looking for my ID.then to add I download 3 apps give them current w-2's but not good enough because it only shows the last four O and the best part I have a cope of my social in my phone front and back and not good enough. no referral fee unless you have already donated. Then after all that. Can't donate because I have beautiful thousands of dollars of artwork in my inner arm. Wow! Waste of time.

    Thanks biolife.

i took my boyfriend here for his first time donating plasma, i chose this location because it's closest to his house but the one i always go to is the greenway location, upon arriving to this one it was packed! and there was 2 people ahead of him as new donors, the one that was next said she'd been waiting for an hour and 15 mins and that was with an apt!! then 15 more mins pass and then she's finally called up, my boyfriend at that point wanted to leave because it was 30 mins passed his apt time but i convinced him to stay, his apt time was at 12:05... it is currently 3:06 and i'm waiting for him in the parking lot.. this is outrageous, if they don't have enough staff then close out some apt times so people aren't waiting for HOURS to get attended and donate this is so ridiculous, i watched 2 people walk out because it was taking so long and there was managers walking around just hiding in their office without providing beneficial help to speed up the process for people waiting in line, im so glad this isn't the closet location to me, either hire more people or close out some apt times if you don't have the staff for it, it's simple, i only recommend coming here if you want to waste 3+ hours of your life

Messed up stick. My other arm had already been botched too this time.

Staff is nice but the lines have been ridiculous! Takes longer to check in than it does to donate anymore.

Great First-Time Donation Experience…read more I had a great experience donating blood here the other day. It was actually my first time ever donating, as my doctor recommended it since I'm on TRT therapy and needed to do a Power Red donation. I was definitely a little intimidated going in since I had never done it before. I had also read a few negative reviews online beforehand, which made me a bit skeptical, but I decided to go anyway. Before my appointment I called ahead with a few questions and spoke with a really helpful staff member who gave me great advice and helped ease some of my anxiety. When I arrived, the front desk team was very friendly and welcoming. They walked me through the process and made everything easy to understand. The nurse who set up my donation was knowledgeable, patient, and very kind throughout the whole experience. Since it was my first Power Red donation, I learned the machine can be a little tricky because it cycles your plasma back into the line, so you have to keep your arm positioned a certain way. The system gave a few warnings during the process, but the head nurse came over and was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. She stayed close by for much of the time to make sure everything went smoothly and that I was comfortable. The staff also checked on me multiple times and brought me snacks, including chocolate chip cookies, and set me up with my own tray and a bottle of water. It really felt like they cared about making sure donors were comfortable. It also wasn't overly crowded. I showed up around 10 AM and there were probably about ten people donating, but by the time I was halfway through my donation it had quieted down quite a bit and I had plenty of space. The chair itself was very comfortable. After finishing, I was able to relax in the recovery area and help myself to some snacks (the popcorn was great!). As an added bonus, I even received a free ticket to the Renaissance Festival for donating that day. Overall it was a very positive experience and the staff did a wonderful job helping a first-time donor feel comfortable and supported. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking to donate blood.

My siblings and I have been donating blood together for years and we started at the Scottsdale…read morelocation but have expanded to this one and Mesa. I've been here a few times now and have had mixed experiences. I wasn't able to donate on two occasions because of a slight fever and low iron, but that's not their fault! I've donated successfully a few times and it's been a smooth process each time. The phlebotomists are professional and friendly and I personally haven't had issues with the needle stick and draw. Lots of snacks and drinks available, nice receptionist at the front, and spacious location. I recommend donating at a Vitalant near you and helping others!

It does not even deserve one star. I went to the emergency room, vomiting and in severe back pain…read more The waiting room had only a few people who came and went as I still sat there sick and vomiting in a wheelchair. Nobody would inform me as to what's going on and why it was taking so long for me to be seen. They just managed to say oh we're extremely busy in the back however I saw people come and go that came in after me. One lady you made a comment oh my God she's still here pointing at me. The PA was the most horrible vile person I have ever met in my life when I finally did get called back to a bed it was not for triage. I directly asked the PA to help me as I was in severe pain and I was sick. I was not hostile nor was I in any way shape or form threatening. The next thing I know I have a security guard standing at the foot of my bed saying that I was complained about by the PA. It was extremely annoying and very rude and unnecessary. The security guard left after I explained the situation to him. Next thing I know I'm being taken back out to the waiting room where I sat for two more hours over in pain and vomiting. I was the only one in the entire emergency room. I watched people leave that I had seen come in after me the excuse that they didn't have a bed was a complete lie. After hours of again, waiting in the emergency room, I was taken back to a bed and nothing was done for me except a blood draw. The PA would not come and talk to me and the nurse was nonexistent. I went for a CT scan where they found. I had a kidney stone and a kidney infection. These findings were dismissed by the PA as she barely spoke to me, walking by my room telling me that they would culture my urine for the kidney infection to see what bacteria it would grow. Meanwhile, I left in extreme pain was given a shot of Zofran for the nausea after 4 1/2 going on five hours now, then just discharged. Does anybody know of a good lawyer who handles men malpractice cases?

Fabulous surgeon, but horrible nursing care…read more The staff and doctors in the surgical center were tremendous. They treated the patient with concern, expertise, and respect. Once I was moved to the room, the staff treated me like an inconvenience. One nurse told me she didn't have time to get me pain relief "because she has four other patients". My doctor ordered the pain relief heating pads, but they could not find any of the entire night. I was treated with disrespect, condescending attitudes, ignored, neglected, and Treated with cruelty from the nursing staff overnight. I do have all of the specific issues documented and would be happy to share if it would make a difference to even one patient. Even the hospitalist made it clear it was a bad decision to have the surgery. My surgeon and his staff were outstanding and stopped by regularly to make sure that I was doing well. I think they were as horrified as I was by my treatment. Since I am deaf, I was also discriminated against, and that helped the nursing staff justify ignoring me. The Friday morning staff was superior, but I'm sure that the charge nurse had updated them on the torture, I experienced the previous afternoon and night. I was told someone would be reaching back out to me, but I have heard nothing in just short of a month. My surgeon has reached out multiple times and if it wasn't for his staff, I would describe Boswell as a disgrace. Dr. Brossard is amazing and he shows how caring, concerned and critical patient care should be. Dr. Broussard and his staff are excellent communicators and made sure I knew it was going on every step of the way. The treatment from the nursing staff was just the opposite and there were several patients that felt that we were just inconveniences. The nurses never even got me up to walk, which was supposedly critical to my recovery. After all, they had four other patients. I am terrorized that this is the hospital in my community. I am so grateful for Dr. Broussard and his staff and they're carrying nature as well as his expertise.
